Perfectly good hotel for business travel

As always a pleasure to stay at Van der Valk

A wonderful stay. Very peaceful ,fantastic service,the room was beautiful.

Very Nice hotel, visit the hotel 3-4 days every month, the menü card could use some variation

We only stayed for one night - most guests seemed to have longer stays - the guests were mainly 55+ at the time.

We stayed at this Hotel and I just want to say that the staff is really nice, they answered all my e-mails with very good instructions to from how to get there to where to take trains in Amsterdam. By mistake in a previous review, I said that they did not answer the e-mails, that was my mistake. I got all the help I needed from them

This is a very nice hotel, but I stayed in he suit and the a/c was terrible, it is only for the living room and never reached the bedrooms.The hotel staff are very, very nice and I wrote to them before arriving and they answered my e-mails in no time with all the information requiredI will stay there again with no problem

This was everything you would expect of a 4 star hotel: clean, comfortable and well-run. The room was huge and the toiletries were generous in quantity and high quality. It was an easy walk into town and about 1/2 hour from Assen circuit.Very good indeed.

A long wait to check in. One person working whilst 3 chatted behind the counter. Arrived late in the evening so wanted room service. No menu in the room. Went back to reception, no room service menu, sent me to the bar, no room service menu....just as I was about to give up one of the waiters said I could choose anything from the lunch menu and he could bring that to my room. This was the type of service I have come to expect from Van Der Valk hotels. Not the dismissive uninterested service I received from reception.

The hotel has ample parking and the reception is large and well appointed. The welcome was first class and check in a breeze. We were given a room in the tower which was spacious. The room had 2 single beds, as requested, a large flat screen tv, kettle, coffee maker, two comfortable armchairs, a safe and ample storage space. The bathroom was huge. Our room had a shower and a bath and a selection of toiletries. Breakfast has an excellent choice and the food in the restaurant in the evening was excellent. The terrace overlloking a small lake is ideal for a meal or just a drink.

We checked in and left the room in a rush. We got back late almost midnight and noticed our room was extremely dusty, we can tell our bed and beddings are super dusty. My wife's allergies flared up that night and was not able to sleep. We made a mistake by not telling them so we can transfer to a cleaner room. Definitely not coming back to this hotel.
