Expensive for quality of room.

Beautiful hotel and staff. Very clean, great breakfast that’s included with many options in the buffet. Swim up bar with amazing cocktails. Perfect location to walk downtown and Sightsee. they offer free luggage transfers to the ferry so we walked to the ferry and our bags were waiting there for us. There is a clean beach in front of the resort you can use. Everyday they refresh the high quality products in the hotel room )body wash, shampoo, lotion). Fantastic spot! 10/10.

The property was big and conveniently located. The Room provided was recently renovated. The staff was nice. The breakfast options were ok but the Dinner buffet was not the greatest. Overall would give 4 stars.

The hotel property was nice, our room was not. Lots of things inside didn’t work or broken. One night we pulled ants off the bed, the door was very difficult to close/semi broken. One night we can back and housekeeping hadn’t closed door fully likely as a result. A closet door wouldn’t stay closed, closet light didn’t work, rug was stained and the room was very small. (Our son’s room wasn’t much better) Other than our room the hotel was nice.

A lot more expensive than the services offered. 5 star pricing for 3 star experience

Good location and lovely pool, lots of sun beds and nice walk to the old town and other beaches. Rooms a nice size, good breakfast options. Pick up and drop off of suitcases to the ferry very useful.

The hotel is quite far from the port. They do have a van that takes your luggage to/from the hotel, but you have to walk. When they brought our bags to the port on our last day, they left the bags alone baking in the sun so make sure you don’t leave anything valuable. There are a lot of stairs on the property, there’s an elevator but you still can’t avoid stairs in most areas. The room was very small and outdated. Floors were damaged from the shower, probably because the drain doesn’t work well, and the entire bathroom floods with each shower. Our “sea view” balcony didn’t actually have a view of the sea. There was a functioning AC in the room, but it’s very old and not very strong so the coldest the room would get is 25C at night and 28C during the day, with the AC running all day and night. The pool is fun but food is terrible. It’s fine, definitely not worth what they charge. I would stay closer to the port next time.

It’s was a beautiful property. Great for families and couples and very close to town if you go out for dinner. I can’t wait to go back!

Amfora was an excellent stay at Hvar. The first day, we requested a room change due to the view we paid for and they were more than accommodating. Any and all service called in was at our door within 15 minutes. The pool area is fantastic. They also bring your luggage to and from the ferry which was amazing. Only a short 10 min walk along the gorgeous coast to the main center. Breakfast buffet was great and the staff so friendly. The pool overlooks the ocean which was gorgeous. There is also a free beach and a luxury beach right next to it which was beautiful. Couldn’t recommend more and truly think it’s the best stay on the island.

After an initial poor checkin experience we loved our stay overall. Rooms a little compact (superior) but views excellent as was pool, breakfast and staff. This is our second stay at Amfora and would recommend for couples or families.

The main job of a hotel is to provide comfort. Whoever selected the mattresses, needs to be removed from their role. It is without doubt, the worst hotel comfort wise I have ever stayed in. I don’t normally complain, but you feel robbed not only of a good nights sleep, but of your hard earned cash for a hotel experience that is closer to 2 stars than 4. Anyone reading this, do not stay here, anywhere else is better.

Excellent hotel, perfect location. Front desk staff on check in and check out let the hotel down. Very rude and dismissive, gives bad first impression and worse leaving impression

Hvar is beautiful to begin with but this property is just fantastic. Will be back again.

Decent hotel but expensive for what it is

The hotel WiFi in room was not working. We stayed there for 3 nights. Complained the 1st night , they said technician will come in morning. Morning told them again and again evening on 2nd night. The reception lady said since you have Apple products it’s an issue does not have with Samsung. After long argument I went to talk to manager and he sent someone who said issue with router which finally got changed next day . Two days I had to use my phone data for everything. Bathroom shower nor proper rubber so water filled the bathroom after shower . Had to wipe after bath. Paying so much with such service was not worth it.

Very large resort with excellent pool, restaurant and bar facilities. Great location and short walk from main town along the water. Only downside is resort is very busy due to size.

The pool area, Reception and Lounge are nice. Unfortunately, the rooms were disappointing. We had specifically booked a room with a balcony as we are 60 years old and like to enjoy sitting out with wine in the evenings on vacations. The view from the balcony of the first room was extremely limited with nothing more than overgrown bushes inches from our faces. We asked to be moved and the staff were quite unaccommodating saying "all Expedia visitors are put on that side of the building". The alternative room they gave us had a balcony but was on the ground floor where there were colonies of feral cats which made it impossible to sit out due to the overwhelming smell of cat-pee. The room itself was "OK" but the A/C was not great and the bathroom floor was like a swamp after every shower. We were very disappointed as this hotel was actually recommended to us by close friends who had had an amazing time there last year.

Great property which is close to the port and city. pools and beach access was easy. Recommend this place to families, since children will enjoy the pools.

This place was Okay-Fine. Not the 4 Star ratings that I saw. The bathroom was small. The sink was very small with the mirror off to the side. The only restaurant on the property for dinner was a buffet. Okay-Fine but not 4 Star

Breakfast buffet was great! Pool was good. The overall cleanliness of the place was so so. Not a bad place to stay!

It’s conveniently located. The staff services were average. Lack of communication about the luggage pick up and delivery to and from the port. We had two rooms which were far apart from each other. The hotel floor plan is a bit awkward and it’s not easy to locate and navigate from room to room. There is no one single elevator from ground floor to top floor rooms.

Terrific resort. My only comment is not great for older people that may have some walking issues. Elevator went places except down to pool so more steps were involved. Beach was great and nice walking promenade past the hotel to some other bars , restaurants and beaches. I would definately pay the extra for the ocean view! Nice path into little town where there is lots of action for 20-30 age group.
