There is no facility for the drivers. No place to sleep, they have to sleep in the care and also no proper place to bath. Such a big chain. Should have this basic facility for guest travelling with their drivers.

Took like 60 mins to check in, while all formalities were complete. Then the Internet did not work till 1 AM, as the Last Name Entered by the Guest relations person was wrong. The hotel is very old, and there are a few things that don't work. But Rooms are clean, and amenities good - though you are charged for Water. Breakfast was good too

room service need to be improved. if one changes his mind he can return the soft drink at least.

Very well maintain and clean. Restaurant is excellent food is too good with very well behaved staff.

Nice hotel just located the in Sabarmati river bed with all the required amenities for a business traveller. Even though hotel room looks little outdated, still spacious and well maintained. You can view the Sabarmati river from rooms and really a spectacular view during night time. Front office staff took lot of time to check in and check out which can be improved. Easily accessible from airport also in less than 20 minutes

We were so happy that we had chosen this hotel for our stay in Ahmedabad! We checked in very late and therefore got up late for breakfast and were really surprised to receive a call from the restaurant reminding us about the breakfast time. Their attention was very touching. The rooms are newly renovated and the bathroom has all the amenities you need. We liked the location as well. Would definitely recommend this hotel!

Very shabby rooms and hotel. Condition of the bathroom was very poor. There was a lizard in the bathroom and lot of dust

We booked three rooms but while reaching at 7pm the room was not ready to move. two of our guest has to leave in our room till the room gets clear. This is something unbelievable when your check out time is 12noon & you charged us for one day. food choice for buffet was not upto the standard.

Everything is excellent about the hotel except the neighbourhood slum where dogs bark continuously over night.Sarovar shall look for replacing the window glass with soundproof glass.

It was a pleasant stay. The room which alloted to me gives a river front view.food & beverage are excellent.Staffs are courteous.promptly act on our requests & sujestions.transports are easily excess able from there.

I have stayed in sarovar before in Chandigarh as well. After two experiences I would never go again.Since I prefer maintained n new furniture. Very clean rooms n bathrooms.Linen should be clean n not only clean.Its a brand n does not live upto the standards.But the service was very nice. No complains for the service.

If you are fine with living in the old city, then this hotel is good. But if you have business in the new part of the city, then chose in other location in the city. Hotel is decent, clean room. Of course, old city doesnt mean doesnt mean there is anything wrong withe locality. In fact it is on the banks of the river so you could get good view. Some monuments are close by. The famous Agashiye restaurant is at walk able distance.

Location, Rate, View, is good for the hotel, But Noisy sound from Nearby Slums is not good for Sleep, Even in the Morning at 5:30 AM

It was a pleasant stay at Sarovar Portico. Hotel staff is very co-operative. food quality is good.

Nothing functions in this hotel, even the sunday breakfast buffet was treated as a ala carte Dreadful stay , managers need to buckle up and train their staff about basic etiquettes. No wonder the whole hotel was replicating a desert.

It's comfortable stay. I liked the buffet breakfast.

The evenings were filled with weddings and loud music which made for a good show from my room window and didn't bother me because the days were quiet to get my work calls completed. Apparently, the weekend I had to stay at the hotel was when there was a city-wide strike of auto rickshaws. Unfortunately, at the same time, the hotel had no working internet. Their hard-line connection is non existent since they have opted for a wireless only setup, which was not working for the time i was there. I am a Sarovar Rewardz member and out of the 5 other locations I've stayed at, i have never run into this issue; only this location was the most problematic. I'm lucky that my wifi dongle proved to be a reliable yet slow backup option. Business users be wary; your work may be delayed without web connectivity. If that is not a deciding factor, then you will enjoy your stay for the most part.

Good , clean place for a business traveller. Nice rooms with airport pick up service for Superior room.

There's one major proble, with this hotel - they don't have their own WIFI sevice. Instead, they offer the terrible service of TATA Indicom. I recommend all to inquire before they book a hotel room, and verify that your jptel has a real internet connection.
