We were recommended the hotel by a local friend. It’s tired. We were upgraded to a garden view room- noisy with the road and the lifts and a bed with springs that need replacing. The shower was a nightmare to off and the batteries in the remote didn’t work.
3.7
Bed uncomfortable couldn’t turn the shower off the room needs a make over
3.7
Only stayed overnight comfortable beds .
The water pressure of shower was poor .

The hotel is in an excellent position, by the seafront. We were only in Worthing for 18 hours as we attending a wedding & so did not use much of the facilities. We arrived earlier than our check-in time but the desk staff & housekeeping were extremely helpful in allowing us to freshen up & get changed. The building is old & perhaps a little dated for some tastes but the things we look for in an hotel is clean bedding & a spotless bathroom. Both of these the Chatsworth delivered. The parking outside the hotel is limited to a maximum of four hours but there is a large multi storey car park about ten minutes walk away. The hotel can give you a discount code if you use it

This was a short break. The hotel is well situated close to the seafront. Parking is on street but lots available around. Friendly staff. All that we needed.
3.7
Superb location, and superb breakfast.
Hotel now a little tired.
Staff very helpful

Stayed here before, the location is ideal for shore, shops and bars. The bath in our room was around 6-8 inches above floor level so a step in and out for some. The bathroom pull cords showing their age and could be replaced (or made to a wall switch). The room was comfortable for our short stay and if we were here longer I’d opt for the larger room. Parking outside is possible but there are carparks nearby of a 5 minute walk if it’s busy. Staff are great, and welcoming. Didn’t take up breakfast but on previous stays we have enjoyed the options. Will be going back.
3.7
Poor service and dated
3.7
Had a great stay

Parking is a little difficult. There are spaces on the square but limited and need to be paid for until 6pm. The hotel was clean and the staff very helpful. No curfew so you can come and go as you please. Room was clean and well presented. View wasn’t great but that can’t be helped. Lift is a little small and only one was working.
3.7
A town centre hotel reasonably quiet with excellent staff.
The hotel is clean and our room was very good. It is, howver, rather old and certain of it's facilities are tired and access to some rooms difficult for elderly customers.
3.7
The hotel is across the road from beach
The staff are the best part of hotel
Had ocean front room
Carpet need replacement urgently
Shower was terrible 😩
Bathroom small i could go to toilet wash my
Hand clean my teeth all at once and what the go with pull a cord for the light .
Tv didn't work no iron or fridge or anything
Mexican around corner was great .
No washing facilities

Room was very clean. Great sea view and spacious. Staff member on the day of booking in and the afternoon shift were very helpful.

We paid £166 for a room that was basically unfit for purpose. You had to access it via a staircase that was dangerous as it slanted to one side. The floor in the room was also slanted and furniture had to be cut off to make it look level. The slanting floor made me feel ill and I felt unsafe when going to the toilet at night .The lampshades were stained and although we had an Aircon unit there was nothing to control it with.Parking was advertised but when we arrived we were told it was street parking if available .As there was none we had to use the multi storey at a cost of £15.The receptionist was rude and unhelpful and the lift did not accommodate a wheelchair for my disabled mother in law.All in all the whole experience was terrible and definitely did not warrant the £166 paid

This property is quite aged. It needs a few million dollars to bring it up to decent standards. Many visible and amateurish repairs.
3.7
Bed mattress was saggy and uncomfortable. window in bathroom would not close/broken handle. Tv was tiny. Toilet was cramped into a corner too near wall! On arrival the was cleaning detergent on the floor by our room door. Lift not working so we had to use stairs to 3rd floor. Went to the bar and no-one was serving so we walked out.
3.7
A shabby outdated hotel. Badly needs redecorating/refurbishing and updating. Not obvious with adverts or on booking if breakfast was included. It was not and was disgusting. I remember this hotel in its prime years ago. It’s a pity it has been so neglected. Avoid.
3.7
Hotel is clean and adequate, breakfast was hit and miss, tables not set properly, had to ask for milk juice etc, not attended to very well.
3.7
Fantastic property and very helpful staff
3.7
Ideal location if you are walking. Near all major stores and metres from the sea and pier. Cheaper rooms are at the back and overlooking bus depot, although not too noisy. TV didn't work, but I didn't use it and I reported it on check-out.

Friend,y hotel
3.7
Clean hotel with large rooms and friendly staff, lovely cooked to order breakfast Mmmmm
3.7
It was a lovely room right over the beach which was great but I would have expected a little more luxury for the price. However, acknowledge that it was right along the beach. Decor is a little tired and the shower was difficult due to how it was positioned but generally really enjoyed the location and the stay.
The bed was very comfortable and the overall building is fascinating and full of character.
3.7
Good hotel for a 3 star for a few days , great breakfast, next to seafront, very close to shopping area
3.7
Location that's all
3.7
Booked last minute, found check in very easy and the layout of the hotel was good. Its in the perfect location for Worthing Pier and facilities.
We came on a motorbike so managed to park in a bay right outside the hotel, if we were in a car it maybe of been a little more difficult to find the parking.
The mattress on the bed was soft, there were tea making facilities, and on suite bath/shower.
The only disappointing thing was the TV was tiny and on a bracket where it was facing downwards! so couldn't be watched.

Family weekend in Worthing. Two rooms booked in the same name but floors apart. Extremely tired decor. Mould in the bathrooms and blood stained towel. Poorly stocked bar. I couldn’t see out of my window because of the dirt. Finally the cost of £170 per room per night is completely unacceptable. Shame on you Hotels. com for listing this shambles.
3.7
Very helpful staff. Very clean room
3.7
Staff helpful. Room small. TV tiny. Noisey. Bar shut. Breakfast expensive. No evening meals.
3.7
On arrival staff were rude and unhelpful.
Could see into other people's bathrooms as they were getting out of the shower.
Hotel is in a great location and looks beautiful. Cleaning staff were polite and helpful.
Emailed a complaint and the GM replied offering a free upgrade if we returned.
3.7
Wouldn’t advise anyone to book here. Unless you don’t mind waiting hours for the shower to work properly. Was halfway through and the water stopped running. Had to wait half hour to get more water. It’s funny now but not at £140 plus breakfast and parking per night. Not worth more than £50 per night.
3.7
Hotel staff where friendly from start to finish and very helpful. The hotel is ideally suitable for wheelchair use
3.7
It was comfortable and clean. Very good breakfast.
Shower needs sorting out in room 163 the family room.
3.7
I would not recommend this hotel. At present, the restaurant is only available for breakfast, the bar is small and with limited stock and there is no dedicated parking. When I tried to draw a bath in my room, the hot water was little more than a trickle and it took over 20 minutes to fill the bath. The TV in my room was about the size of a computer monitor and mounted too far from the bed to be watchable.
Although the room was clean and the reception staff were helpful, I found the hotel showed its age and would only rate it adequate and not good value for the prices charged.
3.7
The hotel was clean but the appearance is awful. It’s dated and needs a complete refurb. I stayed in a superior room which was adequate. It was basic, furniture was a mis-match and old, the dining room was dull and very dated. The windows rattled all night ans the floor is extremely creaky. The room rate is not comparable to the hotel!! A premier inn is far more superior and more cost effective. I would not stay again!
3.7
So dirty smelly, awful bar, so dated need pulling down
3.7
The beds wre uncomfortable pillows were cheap, flat and very uncomfortable. The bathroom was very small, the sink was too big for the room and the tap dripped. There was a lot of black mildew all around the bath and on the shelf. It had been there for a very long time. The toilet seat was cracked and it was marked around the toilet fittings. There were no nice toiletries and we thought the tea, coffe and biscuit choices were very limited. We had looked forward to this weekend for a long time, it was a weekend for my daughter's 40th birthday. I have been to Worthing so many times and saw this hotel and kept saying i wanted to stay here one day. So disappointed, the room in our opinion was overpriced and in need of redecorating and up dating. We would not book to stay again.
3.7
Although it’s not a high end hotel, it has oodles of quaint, adorable features!
3.7
Great location. The hotel is old and due for upgrades. The front desk staff could be a bit more friendly. Stayed there twice. was loud being next to the bus garage.
3.7
Very tired and dated room. Bed was uncomfortable and the room stuffy (but too noisy to keep windows open). Service indifferent.
Way too pricey for what it was.
