It’s a bit of a hike up the hill but the AC was great and the staff was personable and helpful and we could borrow beach towels everyday. The breakfast was basic but nice enough. On the weekend they had Mimosas. Satisfied with everything overall!

Stayed there 4 nights and had 2 rooms. Experienced terrible noise issues in both rooms. One room was located in front of stairs and the front desk, non-stop loud noises coming from the lobby area from around 6:00am… in the room above, ppl were stomping/dancing after 10:00pm. Contacted the front desk during our stay, nothing was improved. The shower was extremely tiny to the point that we could not even move around right. The beds were stiff and uncomfortable, the sheets were dirty, overall the worst experience… They are definitely overpriced.

Very nice little spot. The rooms are a little small and my wife grumbled about having to walk uphill to the hotel, but those are the only minor detractions in what was a very pleasant stay with very nice and helpful staff. I definitely recommend this hotel if you are considering staying on the island.

It was my wife and I first time at Catalina. We celebrated an anniversary and they helped me give a little detailed touch. Hands down 5/5 experience all around. Great walking distance from restaurants and attractions.Thank you.

Hotel looks a lot better on line than in person. The rooms are dated, especially the bathrooms. Breakfast was horrible. Low quality carbs and frozen eggs. The walls were thin and we could hear everything. The staff was nice and helpful but no one was at the desk after 8 pm

The best thing about the property is the front desk employee, I can’t remember his name but we called him “Jack” cause he looks just like Leonardo DiCaprio, anyway, he went above and beyond - great service, thank you! The rooms were clean but very small-they are European size rooms. It’s just enough space to fit a queen size bed; shower was tight but we cannot expect anything big being on a small island. They have free breakfast, and cookies in the afternoon. Location is within walking distance to everything ( restaurants, shops, ferry). All in all, great experience. Thank you

The Aurora Hotel is beautiful, and quiet, with friendly staff. The rooms are clean and neat and the beds are very comfortable. The rooftop terrace has a great view and is the perfect spot to unwind. I would stay at this hotel again.

Friendly staff. Clean rooms. Very quiet. I asked if they provided free shuttle service from the ferry and was told no but that the island has cab service. It wasn’t far so we opted to walk. It was a little steep with our bags going up that last street The roof top deck was closed for maintenance so we were a little disappointed but the view from our room balcony was beautiful Overall a very pleasant stay

We had a great time. However it seems like the hotel has shared walls, unfortunately the next door guest were very noisy and loud during the two days we stayed. It was difficult to sleep well. The staff was great and provided awesome service.

Aurora was a cozy spot for our weekend anniversary celebration. Room was clean and updated with a great view of Avalon Bay from our balcony. Rooftop terrace had a excellent view of the bay and the rest of the town. Within walking distance of shopping and dinning in the waterfront area of Avalon. Aurora is situated on a decent sized hill that may be hard for some to walk up and down. Excellent staff were helpful and informative with dinning options as well as activities both on hotel grounds and the surrounding area on the island. Will definitely be returning to Aurora.

We LOVED our stay at Aurora! It was the perfect location. The staff was extremely helpful and accommodating! Casey helped us daily with restaurant recommendations, hiking and sightseeing! Breakfast was perfect, hot and fresh daily. The room is a bit small including the bathroom but we did not mind it at all! The shower was hot and plenty of water pressure!

We had a room with a beautiful view but the bathroom was tiny. We are not large people but had we been it would have been a problem. The sun deck is nice though heaters would be nice to be able to hang out in the evening on cool nights.
