Our lakeside room was nice but other lakeside room shouldn't have been called lakeside! It only had a tiny sliver of the lake, the rest was buildings and roof. Our rooms heater sounded like a train coming through and no one slept well.

We were presently upgraded to a suite at no extra cost, the room was large and has two private bedrooms. furniture was definitely dated, along with the carpet and walls, would be very nice if they were redone

On busy weekends, like the last, they should have permit parking on their property. The weekend was a festival in Walker, MN and many of the shoppers in the town used the Chase parking lot and it was difficult to find parking on the lot.

Based on the history of the hotel, the prestigious reputation it has, and the over $300 price tag, I figured that it would be seriously amazing. I only stayed for one night, because it was a business stay, but the room was just ok (one very lovely, but lonely, tiffany style lamp supplied the light for the entire room) and the "spa/gym" was below par. As I left for my business engagement at 7:15 a.m. on Saturday, there was only coffee in the common area, not even breakfast 'bites'. And I was hit with and additional $24 "resort charge" upon checking out. Since I simply slept there, I felt that that was absurd. But the carpets in the halls are lovely, and the Arts and Crafts lights and wallpaper are as well. Just not worth the expense.

Nice hotel. Rooms were clean. Quiet. Fun activities for kids.
4.2
Property was somewhat run down. The beach was small and not enough loungers for all guests. The food was mediocre for the price. For the price I paid, I expected more.
4.2
Wouldn't recommed. Shows age and needs updatig. No hand soap in room, no plug in tub, couldn't regulate temperature, lobby and halls had odor. Expensive for such low rate hotel.
4.2
Pool needs to be cleaned. Hot tub needs to be replaced. No housekeeping. No shampoo or body wash, took 4 phone calls to get a hold of the front desk. New management seems to be letting the property go. So sad. It’s a great location! Right on the water and in downtown Walker. Everything is within walking distance. Walker is a nice city

Nice lake. Good boat slips available for a fee. Rooms were OK, but no daily service, still. No one mentioned this specifically on the booking. And a letter that we got from the hotel had a link to say “here’s what you can expect from your stay“ and when I clicked on that page it was unavailable. When we checked in, no one said anything either, and, I suppose, I probably signed a piece of paper upon check-in that probably mentioned it, but I didn’t read it and no one said, here’s how you get towels, here’s what you do with your garbage, etc. My bad, but it seems like we should be past no service, esp since no other Covid protocols seem to be followed. Two other things: the sink was extremely slow to drain, which is kind of gross, and the Keurig coffee machine didn’t work. Otherwise, beds were comfortable enough, and good shower pressure. We might stay here again, but no daily service is sure irritating for a hotel stay.

We stayed in a 2 bedroom condotel and my family's experience have been excellent. The property is clean, the staff is great and walking distance to shopping is great. It is a small town so a lot of stores close early and very limited restaurant choices but we also brought our own food so we managed. Overall great experience and will definitely come back!
4.2
Great location right on the shores of Leech Lake and walkable to restaurants and bars. The hotel was spotless and we had a great time at the 502 on-site restaurant-great service!
A hidden gem in the small lake town of Walker.

We had a great time at Chase on the Lake, it’s a beautiful area and so nice that it’s close enough to walk to all the shopping and restaurants. The condo we stayed in had lots of room and our kids loved the pool!

We had stayed here in the past and they really do a good job in regard to having friendly helpful staff. I think the problem this time was like everywhere else, you just don't have enough people to carry out the mission. We tried to eat in the restaurant that doesn't take reservations and were told 7:30 would probably be fine. When we arrived we were told they were "out of food." I think from our experience in other places that night that that is code for we don't have staff to make the food. We were able to find some bar food down the road but pretty limited options around. Our only other complaints were the TV remote couldn't pull up a guide and changing channels was painful, the deadbolt on the door wouldn't latch, and we had a little "hairball" cleanup in the bathroom. Overall though, pretty good, and very nice people. We get it on the staff thing. It seems to be the new normal, everywhere.

Beautiful location on Leech Lake, magnificent old hotel.

I was located near the elevator and that was irritating hearing the bell go off all the time. Room was beautiful, clean. Some other noisy guests. Thankfully they quieted down eventually.

Great Family Trip, such a beautiful view from the room, the condo was like having our own apartment, just wonderful ! The only issue we had was the hot water would run out after 2 showers and we had 6 of us. Kids enjoyed the weekend with the candy shop and ice cream parlor and reefs all within walking distance !
Also a arcade downstairs, Besides the indoor pool and the beach area and being able to dine in or out close by ! Just perfect place, the 80 degree weather in May really helped also. We will be back, we will request the same room again !

It was quiet. Restaurant was closed by 8 pm. Withiut notice.

Hot tub and pool area were awesome!!!!
Having the bar there was great and the food was very good.
Staff overall were happy and great to work with
4.2
Guest rooms were not cleaned to an acceptable standard.

Loved the location! The view from our balcony was amazing! Pretty much everything you need within the hotel! No need to leave.
But. We had a room with a balcony, and the lock on the door was not working! Definitely not kid-friendly! The matrass on one of the beds had a fart smell.

Could use a little maintenance

Room and bathroom were clean, living space looked a bit disheveled and two of my lights didn't work, but that's not a deal breaker. I understand that the room I rented is likely more targeted to folks staying the week to fish leech lake. There were a couple stains on the carpet that made me question taking my boots off after a long day at work.
Aside from that, the staff was great, the views are beautiful, I've definitely slept in worse beds, and everything else was very clean.
I plan to come visit soon to fish leech and I'd definitely stay here again.

Have stayed here quite a few times and have to say this time was not the greatest the bathroom in our rom was disgusting and elevators dirty.. and the worst room was the fitness center food all over the floor dirty towels everywhere. It will a long... time before thinking about staying there again.
4.2
Great location, easy walking to shops, bars and restaurants in the area.

We’ve stayed there before years ago and it was not clean at all but now the place is well-staffed, friendly, super clean and the food downstairs is marvelous. So quiet as well!

We stayed lakeside and the band played till 11pm , we are all about music, drinks and a good time but the walls were paper thin. It was absolutely absurd the noise that came thru and the vibration. We spoke to the hotel staff and they just shrugged their shoulders and didn't seem to care on the night shift or the morning shift. We were very polite about the situation and we got zero reaction from the. Just oh well....

Chase is a beautiful hotel. Nice people and great customer service. Very clean and well kept.

I was comfortable with the clean appearance of room when I entered the room.

Nice location on the lake.

1st off- the 2 staff that were present on both days that we were there- they were wonderful. Super friendly and kind. The room was clean- but it needed a deep clean. I purchased a room with lake view, and the windows were dirty and had cobwebs. The dining room had cobwebs. They need more sitting areas where you can have a drink and enjoy the beauty. They need a bigger parking lot- we had to chance it with street parking. The buffet for breakfast was underwhelming. It actually wasn't expensive, and the food was ok. But, the caliber of this hotel should mean that I don't have to drink my coffee out of styrofoam, my juice out of plastic, pour my pancake syrup out of a package or my butter out of tinfoil. This hotel is WAY too beautiful to not have more staff, more services and more pampering. All in all- I would definitely stay there again- it just bothers me with all the disposable packaging.
4.2
Dripping sink, dripping shower, and tired decor were experienced on our stay. No coffee in the lobby and K cups were not replenished overnight. I expected better service and conditions from this property. It has gone downhill from prior years.
4.2
Great building and location
