Great place to stay, highly recommend.

Perfect location by the water. Food and service were amazing. Hotel is also really clean which is a bonus.

We absolutely loved our stay at Edgewater Resort, and would highly recommend this resort to anyone staying in Wanaka. We had a premium suite, and had lake access straight off our patio. The suite had everything you could want or need, and the bed was seriously the most comfortable we have slept on. If you live a soft bed that you feel like you are just melting into, you will love this place. It’s an easy 10 minute walk to the Wanaka tree and 15- 20 minutes into town if you want to walk it. This will definitely be on our “must stay again” list.

We got a lake front room which was a real treat for us. Staff are really lovely and helpful. Sauna and hottub were appreciated after long hikes. No coffee machine in the room but their restaurant provides all day service with barista coffee and other drinks. Rooms a bit noisy as not sound proof so expect to hear your neighbours if they talk loudly.

You can’t beat the location of this hotel and the beautiful view of the trees and lake, but the hotel did feel more dated than I expected. The bathroom especially is in need of a remodel. However, it was still a pleasant experience overall.

Great location and view, nice 20 min walk to Wanaka. Very friendly and service orientated staff. Were very pragmatic in resolving an issue caused by an external booking website. Doing a major upgrade so a couple things werent available. But should obviously be available soon. Will be my first choice when returning to Wanaka.

Beautiful property on the edge of the lake! Gorgeous views and you can walk on the lake and see the lake from your room.

Great place and nice rooms.

Edgewater is in a fantastic location. We have stayed here a lot of the years. It's quiet and very handy to tracks and town. The staff are friendly and helpful. I have to say though that it lacks any Vibe at all, it its just missing atmosphere.

We travelled NZ for 10 days and this was the only hotel where we did not enjoy our stay. The purpose of our visit to Wanaka was to hike Roy's Peak. The staff were not able to assist us with any information or obtaining water for our hike. They were located away from town and the day we checked in they closed their restaurant at 2pm due to staff shortage and nothing was available to eat or drink for the rest of the day. Also we had to haul our luggage ourselves across the large parking lot to a second floor room that did not have air conditioning.

Beautiful property. Our room was clean, large and comfortable with a beautiful view but it could stand some updating.

Located just out of town - whilst there was a path to walk along the lake, it was a little far for the little legs so we opted to drive. Our room would have been generous for 2 people and probably very comfortable. With 4 people, the pull out sofa and roll away beds meant it felt very cramped. Fully self-contained was great with a fantastic laundry and functional little kitchen.

Wonderful location, just steps from the water and a pleasant walk to town. The front desk staff were so kind. Just wish they had some air conditioning or better fans for the second floor units on hot summer days.

Amazing place to stay with friendly staff and very welcoming & homely feel. For a relaxing trip away would definitely recommend.

Nice location right on the lake, making it easy to walk into town. During the summer months the upstairs rooms are quite hot as there is no Air con the fans in the rooms need to be more robust in order to cool the rooms down.

We like this hotel and hope to visit again.

Room was comfortable and spacious. A lot of construction noise with renovations in progress. For some reason checkin staff insisted on taking a deposit in addition to tge room rate which was held for 3 days after we left. Won’t be returning

Will definitely stay here again the next time I come. Love the close-ness of the hotel to the Lake. Friendly and accommodating staff who helped to make arrangements for last min extension of my stay. There was some renovations going on in Block 3.
