There was trash underneath the sink, dirty clothes in the dresser drawers, Walter on the floor from the A/C unit, room smelled like mold and no remote to the television. All this was taken care of by the nice young lady at the front desk. I came away from the stay feeling a lot better about this hotel, but I called today to check on my deposit that was supposed to be refunded only to find out that it had not been processed. Now I will have to wait and additional 5-7 business days to get my money. Overall, this was a very disappointing experience.

This was the worst experience ever and they messed up my charge they had absolutely no idea of what they are doing and I had to sleep in my truck and they were arguing with me and then they had me waste 40 dollars for pre paid cards and they were no help with the situation and the lady started flipping out and she says we're out of line and we just want all our money back because I never stayed at the hotel because she said she was calling the cops and told me that I had to leave and she didn't even cancel the reservation because that is like stealing from me because she charged me for the room after I was told that I had to leave and I want this taken care of and I should get back something for all the money and trouble I had to deal with and then I'm disabled on top of it and may be the whole thing that they thought that I would not turn them in for abuse stealing and making all the money tied up with all the crap that they have me enrolled in this was the worst experience I have ever had absolutely ridiculous and I am still trying to get it fixed a week later and I hope you are able to make it right

We made the mistake of booking this stay because it was relatively close to the airport. When we showed up to the property, it is located in sort of a nook of a large parking lot that is not very well lit. This doesn't help at all with the safely concerns of the area. We showed up and the Uber driver even joked about the area and drug activity. Sheesh. When checking into the property, the front desk person was friendly enough, polite, and helpful. The positives end there. The hotel itself does not seem clean and we saw several people walking in and out of the property. We got up to our very disappointing room with what has to be a 15-year-old 43" flat screen, a very uncomfortable, very creaky bed, and sort of a musty smell. We ended up walking to a CVS pharmacy in the same parking lot to grab a few items and walked past several people outside. This included a shirtless guy walking out of the hotel ahead of us, a guy loading or unloading something from his trunk in the parking lot (not sure what), and a group of men outside with a very strong odor of marijuana coming from their area in the parking lot. We wanted to have one last night in Destin before our early flight in the morning but decided against it due to safety concerns after walking past all of that and not walking to come back home too late to walk past it again. We were very happy to leave in the morning and will never be back.

Stayed there before and am satisfied though this stay was without active Cable. Staff was informed and Manager credited $20 which goes through your accounting to be remitted back to me. Thx

I have stayed in different hotels throughout the years but this one has by far been the worst one yet. The area outside the hotel is dirty, the lawn unkept. In the room the front desk personnel told me that housekeeping goes in the room every 14 days to clean that if I needed my room cleaned I could go to the front desk and ask for a broom. If I needed clean towels I had to take the soiled ones to the front desk to get them changed oh and to top it off, the guy even told me where the big garbage container was so that I can throw away my garbage. I couldn’t believe what I was hearing. I can honestly say I’m not going back. The hotel’s personnel was very nice and polite despite the horrible experience I had they were nice.

The room I had nothing worked in it, and it wasn’t cleaned. The sheets were not changed and I would not recommend this place to anyone.

Good customer service from the front sesk

We had change rooms twice due to the first room had exposed wires from the air conditioner. The second room was absolutely nasty and filthy. The mattresses in all 3 rooms were horrible! The coils could be felt through the mattress which made for a very uncomfortable sleep/rest. The hotel had no amenities. There were no type of accommodations in the hotel rooms. We will never book a room at the Extended Stay America in Fort Walton Beach ever again!!!

Can into a room with not one but 3 dead bugs on the floor and sand ,room wouldn't stay cold was muggy, the was a 100 Dollar deposit that wasn't mentioned until check in,rooms and hallway smelled of pot

Food in the fridge from previous guests. They have no ice machine & no one ever at the check in desk…..you have to call them

The floor was filthy but everything else was clean. 4 person family staying which means 4 towels and 4 wash cloths needed. Had to argue with the man at the desk just to get a towel and wash cloth for each of us. Otherwise though it was good enough for the cost of the room.

The stay was decent in of itself, however i could not check in on time due issues on their end, the room wasnt as clean it should have been upon check in and the the bathroom tub faucet was leaking during our stay. The addressed our concerns recleaned the room and fixed the tub however the tub faucet didnt say fixed for long. Readdressed the issue and problem was never fixed.

This was the worst stay at a hotel I’ve ever had. I had higher expectations but the management was late….cancelled my reservation on accident and then BARGED INTO MY ROOM THIS MORNING AND ASKED WHY I WAS THERE. The person “forgot” to reserve my room..

Great stay

Night manager was very helpful and pleasant. Room was very clean and adequate. Not as pet friendly as advertised deposit was overpriced which is the only reason I'll find other accomodations. If my dogs weren't part of the equation this would be a very nice place to say

Room itself was clean, there was NO remote for the TV, front desk didnt have one. Homeless sleeping in the hallway, halls smelled like pot, people arguing loudly and slamming doors. Left hours after I arrived and stayed somewhere else. Have to ask for kitchen items, wasn't a factor as I had planned to eat out. Will not stay at or recommend this place again.

From the second I step foot on the property my trip was horrible they put me in a room with an overflowed toilet I then proceeded to go back to the front desk where nobody was present for at least 30 minutes to wait upon arrival the night clerk put me in a different room without switching me around in the computer so my girlfriend and I went upstairs and went to bed and woke up in the morning to a manager standing over the top of us like naked in bed asking us what we were doing in a room that was supposed to be vacant the room had not been thoroughly cleaned there was no towels there was no toilet paper or toiletries the stove was torn to pieces we began our check-in process at roughly midnight and by the time we got to sleep it was close to 4:00 a.m. the room stunk there was dirt all over the floor there was cat litter in the bathroom on the sink there's a giant yellow stain on the comforter in the room the sheets and pillows smell the body odor the entire trip with a nightmare we stayed One night in that room and we checked out I then proceeded to call the complaint line where I was greeted by a very smug claims adjuster who refused tissue me a refund or caught me a state at another hotel do not I repeat do not waste your money on a place that could care less about you or your stay take your family across the street to a hotel that knows how to treat its guests

Housekeeping and front desk staff were extremely helpful,friendly and went above and beyond to make our stay as smooth as possible.. ESPECIALLY KAREN! she was a life saver!!

The extended stay is an excellent place to stay

Neat and clean facility friendly staff very accommodating and attentive ESPECIALLY KAREN she saved my nieces favorite stuffed animal from certain death ...Karen saved the day for sure!!! had a cozy family vibe... Conveniently located in the center of town easy to get an Uber lots of stuff to do nearby for the family I will definitely stay there again

Hotel smelled like weed as soon as you go into the hall was given a room on the 4th floor went to go into the room and some one was still in it . Went back down stairs to get another one that was empty. When i got my room it had no shower curtain not much of anything most rooms have at least a hair dryer clothes hangers...nothing and the whole hotel was more of an apartment with all the people that were living there i did not feel very safe. But on the plus side the staff were very friendly and personable.
