Had roaches in the shower

The room had a sewer smell when you walk in, it was clean but it smelled really bad

08/11/24 The FIRST thing: The reserved room was not available when we got there. I am handicapped and they tried to put me upstairs. In the case of a fire or other emergency that would have been bad. They upgraded the room to a jacuzzi suite, fine. I was happy about that. BUT as Soon as my husband opened the door, Mold and MILDEW in my face smell! No way in the world would I get in that mildewy thing! The jets were black on the INSIDE! The ac vents were also moldy! My husband was tired - 64 YO, already unpacked the car, had most things put away for the night and I was scared to stay in the room, he was VERY upset at the whole drama thing - the wait at the front already got him un nerved. I told him He nor I didn't need that with the asthma! I was right but there was no one to help him transfer everything to ANOTHER room across the way, WHICH ALSO had a mold smell, but not as strong... it was 10 pm we were tired, too old to be on the road that late and HAD to stay! The ULTIMATE problem with that was when my husband got out of bed that morning a LIVE ROACH was in the bed with him! HE about flipped his head! The Night Clerk did EVERYTHING to help us, and the issues went ON AND ON! She was kind and heartfelt but that did NOT solve the issues and it took this long to find decent words to explain this, without cussing about this like a maniac I am not sure I will ever stay at a LQ again. If I could give it a neg 10 stars I would. Will never stay in Alabama again.

Pretty good just had problems with hearing kids run and yelling on the second floor

Our room was great. It was clean, the bathroom was clean. The bed was harder than we prefer but it was comfortable. The breakfast was good. All staff we encountered were nice and helpful. We would definitely stay here again.

Very basic accommodations. Outdated furniture/flooring. Found a bug in the bathroom just lying there dead. Trash was left in one of the bins. Very lower water pressure in shower. Thankfully I only had to stay there for one night. Location wasnt ideal either I guess this part of Mobile, AL wasnt made to impress.

Went on a honeymoon trip with my wife, we had a king size bed standard room. We got into the room and it was clean, the bed sheets had stains and someone else’s hair, not a problem. The front desk immediately brought us new ones only for them to be stained as well. The towels were good but there was hair on them. We loved the breakfast, the pool was amazing, and the front desk workers were very kind. I will be back again but I would like my sheets not to be stained.

Perfect stay

The staff were fantastic. The area was a bit inconvenient but that wasn’t their fault. The parking lot is awful and they had guests that were parking huge trucks and trailers and boats leaving no parking for other cars. So that needs to be upgraded. The hot tub was broken the entire stay and that was one reason I booked with them so that was disappointing but not a deal breaker.

Our room was covered in dust. And there was a leak in the ceiling, when it started raining, it basically started raining in our room as well. I felt dirty just walking around, even though I was wearing shoes

Not the best parking

We actually stayed here for 2 separate nights with the past week. (The 1st time was a little better than the second.) The front desk staff is very friendly and helpful. They have pretty good breakfast with eggs, sausage, biscuits & gravy, u-bake waffles, etc.On our 2nd stay the breakfast lady wouldn’t allow our service animal in the breakfast area, even though we told her it was a service animal.During the 1st stay it wasn’t a problem. Our room on the 1st stay had better amenities, too. Not sure why. Over, itt nice property and I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again!

Clean. Customer service was excellent. Rooms were spacious and clean. Breakfast was really good and had variety!

The whole experience

I enjoyed staying at the La Quinta in Tillman's corner. The staff was professional and the room/facilities were fine. My only concern is that the area seems like it could be a little dicey.

The lady at the front desk was very nice. There were bullet holes in one of the windows. The grey walls were depressing. The sofa bed was uncomfortable and there was a group of construction workers in the parking lot with cases and cases of beer.

Usually LaQuintas are satisfactory when traveling on the road, but this one left a bad taste on the brand. First the room I was given smelled musty, like it had flooded or was damp, and the corner of the room was weirdly empty (like furniture was cleared for cleanup) I delt w it because it was late. In the morning, the housekeeping crew knocked at 8:30 to wake me up :/ When I went downstairs at 9, there was no breakfast items left- when I asked the front desk, she said she would get more, but only dried eggs came out (breakfast was supposed to run til 9:30 there. A homeless guy walked in and got his coffee though. The poor lady at the front desk asked him to leave but he just laughed as he filled his cup and left as we watched awkwardly. The prop next door is an old boarded up motel that is prob home to many vagrants

Very nice staff, we had an issue with our tv they came and fixed promptly. The hotel could use some renovations but other than that no complaints. Hot water, cold ac, big comfy bed

It was clean and comfy. The breakfast bar had real eggs. It would have been perfect if they had pre made grits.

The people behind the desk were all very kind and friendly. The room smelled very musty and the people in the hallway were loud. Breakfast was average. There was a boarded up building nearby that made me feel uncomfortable about leaving my car in the parking lot.

Myntrip to La Quinta Inn did not turn out as expected. THEY DID NOT HAVE MY ROOM I RESERVED AND THEY WERE TRYING TO CHARGE ME UNEXPECTED FEES. I was very disappointed had to look for another hotel at the last minute. I WENT TO holiday inn.

This hotel earns 5 stars in every category! Room was large & comfortable. Staff was friendly & efficient. The breakfast was awesome, with scrambled eggs, sausage, biscuits & gravy, waffles, bagels and yogurt! The dog walking area is quite ample and well-maintained. There is a gas station right on the corner and plenty of inexpensive dining options (fast food and dine in) nearby. I highly recommend!

When we checked in wanted me to pay the $150 deposit in cash???? Why?? I have Never & will Never do this!!! She tried to explain the my last name had a flag!!!!! She was rude!!! Wanted to cancel my room!!! I asked for a manager which of course was not there. She finally allowed me to use my credit card to pay the deposit!! Horrible experience!!’
