This could be a beautiful hotel But it needs money spent on it. The Breakfast Service was terrible But there was only 1 person serving A full hotel - it was like Fawlty Towers! The food and dining room weren’t even Ready at 8.00 am. I had already read reviews about the breakfast. The bar operated separately from the hotel And reception couldn’t tell you if it was open You need a sense of humour to stay here!

Beautiful property. Bar tender was so rude to us, waitstaff took order then didn’t show back up again - we had to get the bus boy get our check. We felt that American travelers were treated with no warmth.

Excellent service and relaxing environment. The hotel is full of history and very good at photo taking. The buffet breakfast variety is limited, limited choices of coffee and bread

This hotel has historical features, and room is also very clean. The room charge is reasonable, worth staying.

This place is unique. It has the old palace feel, but with a hint of luxury. My only recommendation is to put a small refrigerator in each room. My wife loved the place.

They had no full breakfast because the cook didn’t show up and they didn’t have a back up. No fruit because the cook didn’t show up. Only grapes bread. We asked the reception for a credit for breakfast and she gave us an attitude and walked away.

Beautiful hotel with comfortable beds and a polite and attentive staff. The escalators going up to the historic city are a one-minute walk from the front gate. Just be advised that you do need to climb some stairs to get to the lobby.

In particular, Angela welcomed us and spent quite a while helping us get train tickets and restaurant recommendations. In short, she was an angel.

Pubic areas and grounds are beautiful. Very convenient location and easy access to parking. We were lucky to get a free spot right at the entrance. Otherwise public garage is very easy to access. Breakfast was very good and the dining room was very nice, great service. Rooms were ok, comfortable enough for a nights stay, lighting was very dim, but those bathrooms sorely needed arenovation. The floors and shower walls were epoxy coated and the finish coat was peelingThey were clean but that is the best I can say. Given the other Fine for one night

At the base of the Old City, the hotel offered the convenience of location. The hotel itself fit the atmosphere of the Old City. The breakfast in the morning was well appointed. I have already recommended this hotel to friends.

The hotel is beautiful and great. The only negative point is the breakfast, very disappointing. Also, our room had views to the garden and that night there was a wedding. So the music was very loud and it was difficult to fall asleep.

Directions to the property from Google Maps are wrong and it’s better to search for Puerta de Alfonso VI which is just around the corner. Nicely put, the hotel is historic. In reality, the hotel is in need of attention and care. The grounds are in need of some cleaning and gardening. The hall to the hotel lift was stuffy and dusty as if it had not been cleaned out since its conception. The room was large, but the bathroom was cramped with the toilet and the bidet inches from each other. You need to walk between that few inches of space to reach the bathtub that only had half a glass so you had to take showers carefully. Upon entering the room, we found some hair in the bathroom and on the bed.Front gates to the property closes at 7. After, you need to ring a bell that may or may not work or wait for someone to leave to get back in.
