I would stay in this hotel over and over again. I stayed on the 2nd floor. If you are on the bottom floor, I am not sure how much of a view you can get. I wish there were a 3rd floor so as a solo female traveler, I would feel safer keeping the sliding door open to hear the ocean. You cannot beat the view. There is a coastal trail that you can walk. There are enough restaurants and things to do. I stayed 2 nights and wanted to stay longer. It is so peaceful and relaxing. Downtown Fort Bragg has a little shopping center that you can walk for boutique stores. There is also a Safeway, CVS within driving distance. 5 stars for sure!!

Very comfortable room. Appreciate that it we were able to bring our pup with us. Love the outdoor fire pits and tables outside our room.

The view was gorgeous the room was not. The walls are paper thin you literally could hear everything. The door had a huge gap and you could hear everything out there. The bed was rock hard and the bathroom was so small you could barely shut the door.

We stayed for one night. It was a beautiful view from our balcony. I loved this place!!! Would highly recommend. Check in was easy.

We had an amazing stay!!! Loved everything about this place. The view was beautiful and sleeping with the door open and hearing the waves all night was the best!!

Great place to stay. Very cute and quiet. We picked this place due to it being pet feiendly and it sure is. There is a dog park on-site. They give the pets there own linens and a treat. Almost all the rooms face towards the ocean the the views are great. Very short walk to the beach for activities, mine was surfing but waves weren't cooperating. Still great to be in the water. There is a walk/bike paved trail that goes to Glass Beach. Also EV charging is free if you swing that way. Make sure to pack a NACS to J1772 adapter if you want to charge faster than 3.4 kw/h.

Property was jice and convenient to access the beach. Only down side is that the lower floor rooms are right on the trail so lots of people traffic passing your room if it is nice out.

We stay here every year. Great ocean views. Easy access to the beach & locks of love on the bridge. The grounds are full of gorgeous succulents. Always clean. I do miss the Continental breakfast but they do have coffee & cocoa 24 x 7. Love that it is dog friendly.

Bernadette was very helpful, even calling us to suggest that we have dinner before our late check-in so we would have more dining choices, which was above & beyond & greatly appreciated! The view is amazing and the beach is beautiful with lots of walking trails on the bluffs & the Fort Bragg Coastal Trail runs right by the motel. They have nice fire pit areas on site, too. The room was very clean & the beds were comfortable. A great find if you love nature!

Great location overlooking the beach. Clean and spacious for a motel. Noce to watch the sun go down from the balcony or deck area.
However, not a friendly welcome on check in; a smile would go along way and costs nothing. Ditto check out. Our rooms weren’t ready despite being after check in time but there was no apology just a ‘Wait until the door is closed then you’ll know the room is cleaned’.

It is a great location with nice access to the beach. This is my 2nd stay. Went the first time with extended family. The patios were nice because we could gather. This time I went with just my husband and would have enjoyed more privacy. Stayed 2 nights and didn’t enjoy the patio as much due to smoke from cigarettes, cigars and weed. Other than the smoke, it’s a great place to watch the sunset.

When we checked-in we were able to upgrade to a upstairs suite with a ocean view and hot tub. Beautiful view of the ocean from the deck and even the hot tub.
The staff was very courteous and took care of any issues in an expedient manner!

We really enjoyed our stay here: it was one night of a longer vacation starting in Seattle and ending in Monterey. We loved the location, ocean view and easy parking.

Older facility, small bathrooms. Beautiful place to watch the sun set.

No air conditioning in room. Did not know that ahead of time. We had a ground floor room so we could not leave slider door open. Felt very unsafe with all the people walking in and around our patio. NO privacy. The patio's are very close together with zero privacy wall. Boardwalk is right outside patio door. Will not stay here again.

We love the Beachcomber and have stayed there several times. It’s central to Fort Bragg and Mendocino is just down the coast right on Highway 1.
North is MacKerricher State Park and wonderful walks along boardwalks and cliffs. Great places to eat down by the harbor and Headlands coffee house is wonderful for breakfast and excellent coffee.
