Perfect in every way, scenic location, superb service.

The staff was terrific; property nice and room/balcony overlooking the lake nice. The indoor spa area was relaxing and unique. Breakfast was a great start to each of the four days we were there. The only thing we didn't like was double the price for the weekend nights, but I suppose that's to be expected.

The staff is wonderful and the setting is sublime.

Excellent! Starting from the valet service parking my car to the water bottles and pasta we received at check-out. Beautiful scenery, forthcoming staff, great breakfast and very nicely maintained hotel. All was very great.

What an excellent hotel!!! The service 1st class and the facilities to die for. The staff could not do enough for you especially the concierge and the bar and restaurant staff. I ate in the fish restaurant and the Michelin star one and they were both amazing!! This hotel is special and I will be returning again and again

If you are looking for a bit more quiet and replay luxurious Hotel without pretence, this is for you. The quality of the food at the restaurants could be a bit better though.

Wonderful setting and location. Right on the lake - easy walk into the fabulous town centre. Excellent facilities - bar, pool, spa all first class.

This is a very special older hotel. The outside grounds are incredablely beautiful and the hotel is situated right on Lake Garda. Although well maintaned, there are some limitations such as regulation of room temperature. It was almost November when we were there, but it was still very warm and it was very difficult to get a room that was not too hot for us. This could have been a result of an older system and the air conditioning had been turned off for the session.

This is a total joke they are arrogant the food quality is very low. On top of that they in princip charge almost double if you are two in the same room, the answer I got from the manager was that all hotels in the world does the same thing. It is clear that he has not visit any other hotels My experiance of hotels is from travelling is 40+ years around the world with average 100 nights a year. One person 210€ Two persons 395€ ie one breakfast is 185€ Stay Away

Very dissapointing: We booked a lake view room, in this "first class" hotel, but it was a big mistake. The room wasn't even the standard of an average 3 star hotel. In fact, such room should not be allowed to be sold at this hotel. Very poor and lacking any character what so ever. Very disappointing. The bath room very small and poor equiped, no place to put your personal things, the bad was very hard, we did not sleep well.We asked for a better room but none were available. We submitted our comments to the staff, but they just explained that "hotel is old one and not all rooms have been renovated".. We don't recommande this hotel as you can find a lot of others 5 stars in this area, but IF YOU BOOK THIS HOTEL BOOK A RENATED ROOM only. Very disappointing for a return visit ,despite of a good restaurants, high quality food, nice outdoor areas. It was the worst 5 stars hotel we stayed, as we travel a lot around the world.

1. Service at restaurants and bar – The service was very poor. The waiters were young and looked like unprepared and unsupervised students working summer jobs. They clearly were not well trained and seemed lost with all the orders. One day they forgot our coffee, another day they spit wine all over the table while serving etc. By the way, in our stay there we were unable to have a single wine at the right temperature – which is basic! To make matters worse, we had a very unpleasant experience at the pool restaurant. The maître was very arrogant and unpolite. 2. Accommodations – The room was a separate chapter. The air-conditioning of our room (218) simply did not work and could not could down the room. Spending the summer nights there became a real nightmare. The shower was awful and did not release enough water for a decent shower. The room had no mirrors. I complained at the front desk and asked to speak to the manager, which was not there in the middle of the day. Despite of leaving a message, the manager never returned my request to a meeting.

Lovely hotel but lakeside is a must due to traffic noise and night-time lighting.

We did not know what to expect until we drove up to this magnificent hotel in the grand style. From the first encounter with the doorman, the amenable and helpful front desk, the amazing servers in the first class restaurant and the person who cleaned our room, we were made to feel special. We especially enjoyed learning the history of the hotel which dated back decades. Although we could have remained in our room enjoying the view, there were fascinating places within walking distance: the Botanical gardens and the house of the poet d'Allesio. We will definitely return and stay longer.

Honestly thought the hotel was perfect, my only complaint - you can get a omelette for free at breakfast but if you want to add a topping its 6 euros extra. I thought that was shocking really as youd be paying 6 euros for some cheese or mushrooms. Other than that. Amazing

Absolutely worth a visit, would definitely go back there in a heartbeat.

Everything worked well, friendly, professional service. Both breakfast and dinner were excellent. Live music at breakfast was a pleasant plus.

Great hotel in beautiful setting, unfortunately the service in the hotel was at best very slowly and at times non existant. The hotel was not cheap which is expected in a 5 star hotel but €6.50 for a bottle of water than could be bought in a supermarket for 25 cents is a little over the top!!

The hotel is beautifully located on Lake Garda. The facilities (indoor & outdoor pool, spa , sauna, gym, hot tubs, etc.) are very well maintained and the dining is very good. Best breakfast of any hotel we have stayed at in recent memory. The staff is very well trained and consistently helpful. The prices are quite reasonable. getting around via car was easy in September, but in the July-August high season, it would be much slower. Going through d'Annuniza's home (within walking distance) is easily a half day visit, while driving to Mantua and visiting the Palazzo del Te and seeing Giuilio Romano's masterpieces is a priceless trip. There are many wonderful nearby restaurants to visit, while the nearby town of Salo will not disappoint the shoppers in your party.
