Great views, good amenities, beautiful trails, wonderful staff, the food was amazing.

We had a lovely stay at l'Auberge. The room was comfortable with a nice walk-in shower (my favorite). We loved swimming in the clear lake. We also enjoyed a lovely hike along a stream that leads to a waterfall. We ate at the hotel one of the 2 nights since it was a quite pricy. And we were also a bit disappointed that the water activities are not included (kayak, canoe, paddleboat). But the pool, tennis courts were. It was a peaceful getaway and we will no doubt return someday.

The property was huge with many activities available to clients. We especially loved the walking trails right on the grounds. Food was great, rooms very clean and spacious. Great service.

The restaurant food was exceptional and the pool area, wet sauna and facilities are amazing. The surroundings are well kept and we had a fabulous stay celebrating 30 years of friendship.

Nice comfortable place. Even just for the restaurant a critism: the serving of the trout plate with 4 sorts was to cold. The serving waiter didn't do anything with it. The table waiter was also surpised.

Stayed for my nephew’s wedding. Much of the family attending the wedding also stayed at this hotel/resort

Great place. Nice staff. We had a great time. Food was a bit on the expensive side but generally really good. Tv had limited channels but Wi-Fi made up for it. Snowshoeing was awesome.

Amazing area! The hotel is nice with still a local and traditional feel. Miss an outdoor hot tub. We both found the food very average, aside from the trout lasagna and restaurant lacking of fun/chill ambiance.

We wanted an escape in the woods with all the comfort of hotel, and we weren't disappointed! The location is amazing, there are a lot of activities to do (renting kayak, boat, play tennis, dip in the pool..)

The hotel is very clean, the rooms are spacious and beautiful. We liked the wooden floors, the great shower in the bathroom, the view from the restaurant over the lake, the relaxing area around the bar with the fireplace and the billard table. The pool is clean and very big (I guess 25 meters long). The setting is very quiet and relaxing, the landscape is beautiful. Here are the negative remarks: The staff all seemed tired and were not helpful, didn't smile, didn't say hello, didn't ask us whether we had a nice stay, etc. The ice rink and the skating path in the forest were in very bad shape and the staff told us they would not redo the ice since the temperature would go up the next week. But during our stay, it was -20 C! So we didn't skate although I had really looked forward to it. Also, be sure to check the temperature of the fridge in your room. We had milk and fruit in there for the kids - the milk froze to a solid block and the fruit was all lost because it was far too cold. We had dinner in the restaurant and found the food somewhat disappointing (considering the price) - it was ok and fresh, but didn't taste much, there was dry rice and steamed vegetables without sauce. We also had breakfast there twice - the buffet was identical on both days, with your standard hot and cold fare, canned fruit salad, stale croissants, no fresh bread (only sliced toast).

The language barrier (English/French) made communication difficult, from check-in to check-out. The wait-staff however, were great at helping us decipher the menu and speaking in general. The food was very good and the prices were acceptable for a resort. We did experience a rate increase per night upon check out and the language barrier (my limited French and no English with the agent) made for a challenging check-out, so its best to pay Hotels.com directly rather than at the hotel. Our stay was very expensive and because we were busy with other events we did not have time to enjoy the facilities we felt it was not good value for the money spent. We did experience an issue when we arrived at the hotel late on the Friday night and the restaurant closed at 9pm and the bar served nothing other than potato chips. We found this to be a big negative as the resort is very secluded so there are no options to get food elsewhere. I would assume summer time at this resort is a totally different experience and hopefully a more positive experience with more scheduled activities and restaurant operation hours. Overall a beautiful resort but would not return.

Nice location, hotel is like 8 miles away from the village at a nice lake in the woods, amenities are great, service slow and could be friendlier. Be prepared to bring snacks and drinks or you depend completely on hotel services.
