Comfortable, well priced room.

Overall an ok stay. A bit of noise from the shared kitchen downstairs. The thing I'll remember though is that the shampoo/body wash in the shower was cut with water and almost no shampoo was left. That's super offputting. At that point don't provide any and have people provide their own.

These rooms are part of a a back Packers, right above the kitchen and recreation room hence the noise. You may or may not like the idea of it being part of a back Packers how ever you don't get to choose as the listing actively avoids any mention or photos that would alert you that it was a back Packers, the first you know is when you arrive. That being said it is a recently renovated decent sized room with a good view of the lake, it has a shared balcony, it could do with a fridge and a fan. Our stay was pleasant enough except for the the early banging and crashing from the kitchen below. Despite the great view it's way to expensive for what it is and I wouldn't stay there again.

We didnt realize when we booked here that it was also a backpackers property. We were impressed with the thought that had gone into the property. There was a lovely big communal kitchen for everyone to use, a lounge for people to sit in if they wanted to and our rooms were very comfortable and quiet. Was very impressed with the set up

Great location overlooking the lake. Shared kitchen facilities good but cleanliness reliant upon other residents. Also noise at night reliant upon consideration of other residents.

This is not a hotel but rather four remodeled rooms above the reception/kitchen/patio hangout of a backpackers and clamping site. The rooms are nice, but if you are a light sleeper you’ll be kept up by the backpackers drinking and partying just below your front door til way past midnight and then woken up in the early morning as some guests cook and eat breakfast in the kitchen right there.

The room was fine. I would like to have known I was booking a room at a youth hostel at the time I made the booking with through Expedia, though, we didn't realize this until we arrived. It was quiet at night which was good.

The cabins at this location are really new and nice. Bathroom and showers are separate but it was totally fine. Shared kitchen was kept quite clean and orderly. Nice little patio and green space was nice to relax.

We stayed here for a stopover on our long drive from Milford sound to Wanaka and were amazed to see this place(to be honest we weren't expecting much from a hostel as the name suggests). They had a large well equipped kitchen with fridge oven microwave and even a barbecue in the garden. We booked a cabin and it was very clean and cozy, with the shared bathrooms just next to the cabin.

A fantastic facility with very professional staff and in a great location.

We were offered a room inside a small unit with a small kitchen tone shared by guests of three rooms. The big rubbish bin inside the kitchen was full and smelt badly which suggested it had not been cleared for days. Otherwise it’s a good experince staying there.

I like the balcony view, spacious room, really clean facilities, few minutes walk to town centre, friendly reception. To try connect wifi from our room was really poor, unless if you were downstairs at the lobby then you’ll get a better connection. Shower water keeps changing hot and cold Other than that i was really happy with my stay ! I would recommend other people to stay there because i would stay there again if i ever visit Te Anau! :)

Good stay overall. Right across from lake and within walking distance of main part of town. There wasn't near enough parking though (parked on streets all three nights here) and rooms a little warm

The room was spacious and clean. There were a lot of stove tops to cook on.
