Perfect for weekend trip to Cordaba.

"Reception" on first floor. Ugly front parking area. Another business at street level. Vending machine without water during all stay. Card payment on machine, erratic and very slow, taking several minutes to find out if we were gonna get a drink or snack or not. Could hear, almost clearly, people from other rooms talking, laughing, dragging furniture.
On the positive side, the cleaning lady was very helpful and kind to us. The room was clean.

The hotel has been renovated fairly well, but they used interior grade pine panel doors on the entrances. This gives a 'paper thin' feeling between your room and the hallway. The room did not have a safe in it. Also, you have to leave your key at the front desk when you leave the hotel. You can buzz back in all night on weekends but only until midnight on weekdays. There is NO parking here, and as we found out in Spanish larger towns and cities, there is slim to no parking anywhere. The front desk could not help us there, so we were on our own. We stumbled onto an empty lot/field near the NH hotel on Calle Altillo, about a 10 minute walk. Some local guys waved us in, where they unofficially arrange parking. The fellow told us he was unemployed and did this to make some money, although he said we didn't have to give him anything. I did give him a few Euros, an entrepreneur, why not. The car was fine overnight. The hotel is close to a lot of attractions and restaurants. The breakfast was excellent, bacon and eggs, and very good quality pastries, for only 5 Euros. The rooms, hallways and dining areas are very clean and well kept. Good location and good stay, if you're not driving and don't mind a room with a 'thin' feel to it.

The room has good wifi connection. Also had a hot tub. Cordoba city has the mosque and the river. The sunset from the river was beautiful.

Hotel was nice. Breakfast buffet was worth 6 Euros and had a good variety of food. Fairly close walk to old city with good views along the river on the way. Parking at the hotel was very limited, but about a few blocks down the street near Burger King and the supermarket was free parking.

New management very obliging and happy to sort any problems. Breakfast good for the price.Air-con new but cutting out with power overloads and busy period, I'm sure they will sort this out soon. Large room and bathroom with all amenities. I was quite happy staying. They just need to work out how to stifle next room noise.

We chose Hotel Azahara for a short notice overnight stay in Cordoba, we didn't have any great expectations for the price, however the hotel was fabulous! We were able to park close by and the hotel is approx 15 mins walk from the Roman bridge. All of the staff we came into contact with were incredibly pleasant and helpful. The room was perfectly adequate with a large bathroom and was lovely and clean. The breakfast was well worth 5 euros each and again the dining room staff were lovely. Cordoba is a beautiful city and we are hoping to visit again next year with friends, if we do we will most definitely be booking into the Azahara again.

Located on the less busy south side of the river but within 5 mins pleasant riverside walk to Mesquita and historic area. Easy free street parking and Lidl supermarket 100m along road. Decent size rooms with good beds. 24hr desk. Clean and simple and fairly priced. Has a lift. Hotel is above a telecoms office but don't let that put you off. Go in door on the left for hotel. Reception is on 1st floor. Would use again.

The hotel, 50meters west of a huge Asian Restaurant, was easy to find by taking bus # 6 from the train station through downtown ,across the River Guadalquivir to Plaza de Andalucia, or a taxi (about 7€). During the day a satisfactory choice of restaurants along the River BUT if you are not to a reataurant before about 7:00 there is little to eat as they all close by 8:00 PM. Easy walk to the Jewish Quarter and main attractions- Mezquita, Molina de San Antonio, Torre dela Calahorra, Alcazar de Los Reyes Cristianos... We saw all in one afternoon.

The place (Stairs, room, lobby, reception area) was dark.Towels were very questionable, but were changed every day and room was cleaned every day as well. However, staff was very nice and very accommodating. For example, we checked out at 12 and we had to leave our luggage somewhere till 8 pm, so the receptionist kept it for free at her desk. We offered money for that but she didn’t take.

We were generally happy but our stay was spoiled by the unwillingness of the manager to serve an earlier than usual breakfast owing to our need to catch an early bus- to be fair he did relent eventually. The sheets were a bit small for the bed so the bed was not really made up properly. About a 20 min walk to the centre and a 45 min walk from the station,

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room we were given was on the road side and noisy but the following day we were able to move to a room on the other side of the hotel, and this room had a double bed and a single bed. We were impressed with the nicely laid out towels with free sweets placed on. The day after we arrived it was my birthday. We had breakfast in the hotel dining room (reasonable at 4.50€ each), and I mentioned that it was my birthday. After I had eaten I was given a plate on which was a flan with a lit candle in it, and some prepared fruit pieces. It was a lovely surprise and very kind. Unfortunately, I had already eaten enough and was not permitted to take my fruit out of the dining room so I did not eat any of it and we thought it was a waste. We realise that it is hotel policy that guests cannot take food out of the dining room but thought it was a bit mean as it had been prepared especially for me as a birthday treat. We thought the showers (they were the same in each room we used) were fitted in a silly position - on the wall, half way along the bath, so there was very little room to stand under and on one occasion the water spilt out over onto the floor. We would, however, use the hotel again.

We enjoyed this hotel and thought it was a good value for money. The room was clean, the staff was helpful and the hotel was within a short 10-15min walk from the old city (center). I would definitely recommend this hotel to budget travelers.

Hotel situated on a main road. Passed it twice before finding location. The building numbering system along this road was not acurate. Hotel situated above offices.Limited parking available. Hotel and room look tired and in need of an update, bath tiles cracked, no proper shower cubical.Staff did not speak English.
On the plus side a pleasant 15 min walk by the river to get to the town. Good spread at breakfast.

Although English is a problem but owner do communicate through computor translation system. Ample of food in Breakfast. Only owners request not to BAG but do eat as much.
My wife needed extra blankit, was provided with request to hand in personnelly.
Only door lock has a problem which needed little handy work but do need new flooring.

This hotel is on a busy street, just off of the Rio Guadalquiver. It is on the other side (SE) of the river from the Mezquita. The hotel staff were fantastic. Very friendly. The breakfast was great and they even remembered what our individual preferences were and provided us with juice, milk and coffee without having to ask. The breakfast is mostly light food (fruit, cereal, yogurt) with cold cuts, cheese and bread. They also gave us a surprise desert treat every morning. Very clean room with a fantastic air conditioner. The bathroom shower was poorly designed and easy to get the floor wet, hard to mount on the wall as well. But there was a large bathtub and a bidet. Our room also had a closet. A window opened to the busy street but was double paned and when shut kept the noise to a minimum. The tv was small but had many channels. You can avoid the busy street by walking along the river when you go to and from the Mezquita by using the Roman bridge. This smaller street (Calle de Fray Albino) also has several bars and you can walk through a nice park on the way. Upon our arrival, the # 3 bus was supposed to take us to the Mezquita but due to construction and small streets did not stop there. This meant that we had to walk about 10 minutes more to the hotel, which we noticed on a hot afternoon. I would simply take a taxi directly to the hotel which is only 6 euros. If you don't mind a little walk and being out of the Juderia/old town, then this is a great budget hotel.

Really enjoyed our stay at Hotel Azahara, may not look grand from outside but more than made up for it on the inside. Our room was clean, comfortable with plenty room for the three of us (we had our 13yr old) and quiet. The breakfast was super and set you up for a days sight seeing with all areas within easy walking distance. The staff were all pleasant and very friendly. Would highly recommend it.

I little walk (~1 mile) to the Cathedral. On a major street but reasonable noise level. Great breakfast, decent service, decent room. Great deal for the price.
