The hotel is a beautiful old colonial building right in the centre of vibrant Old San Juan. It is ideally located to explore the old city, and the El Morro and San Cristobal castles. There are bars and restaurants a few minutes walk away.

The internet and tv weren't working. The shower floor was dirty. At least the beds were comfortable and the breakfast was good. We were going to stay for 8 nights and decided to change hotels after just 2. We hope they fix the little details that aren't working.

The staff is very friendly, if you park in a 24 hours public parking request a voucher to receive a $ 12 dollar discount. I recommend the hotel.

Great staff, clean rooms, loved the rooftop patio. Slow hot elevator or steep stairs were both not fun choices to get to the room, but the room A/C and friendly service were worth the minor inconvenience.

My family and I genuinely enjoyed this property! So close to everything and safe! The property itself honestly needs some improvements i.e. pool and terrace area; bathrooms in the older part of the hotel; and definitely needs air conditioning in lobby and dining area. That being said; it was truly a beautiful nostalgic hotel and very clean except a few areas that were probably just missed in the rooms. Bathrooms were very clean. The staff were all beautiful sweet people; Adriana, Alison and Miguel were all very helpful; nice and a pleasure to speak with.
The breakfasts were delicious also.
I will be back for sure!

This place is amasing I will defenily will stay here when in Puerto Rico as close to paradice as posible.

Firstly the air conditioner is only controlled by the front desk. Therefore they have to come up to adjust it, which is impossible when you are in the middle of the night freezing. The elevator is slow, staircase is steeply dangerous. The house keeping did not fix our beds, I had to request to have new towels.
Honestly, would never recommend a stay here. Huge mistake !

The hotel is so beautiful and has an amazing view on the terrace. It’s extremely close to restaurants, shopping places, and bars. It was extremely convenient place to be not too far from anything. Staff were very nice and the rooms are beautiful.

Great property location was perfect a lot local spots to walk by, one thing I was a bit disappointed I have traveled all over USA this was my firts hotel when I asked for a bucket of ice or an ice machine to go get some they said however the first night they did provide me with a bucket the rest of the nights I had to walk and get my own ice, that is the only thing it was bad for me other than that great property.

I enjoyed the overall feel of the hotel, it was quiet, and we got the roof top pool all to ourselves most of our stay!

The staff was very nice and helpful, and I really enjoyed the hotel. It’s very cute and has a lot of character. It’s easy to walk anywhere you want to go in old San Juan from this location.

Great stay in Old San Juan, everything felt like a short walk within Old San Juan. Only a few blocks to walk to get to bars surrounding La Factoria, etc, but wasn’t loud on our street.
Staff was helpful and courteous. Cute little pool on the roof. Would recommend staying here.

Hotel meet expectations. However, we asked for double bed and were told we were upgraded to a suite because they assume 2 people (women) traveling was a couple. The shower was in the bedroom where there is no privacy. Hotel asked you not to flush toilet paper because there are plumping issues.

I absolutely loved the infinity pool! The view was breathtaking. The bed was very comfortable and let’s not forget about the amazing shower. The downside about my stay was that the elevator was extremely slow. The bar in the pool area as well as downstairs was never open. Otherwise it’s was a pleasant stay!

This hotel had old world charm and was in a great location but the building needs a lot of maintenance. The door to our room would not lock. The shower leaked. The mattress was old. Our room was dark with little natural light.

This was in a great location for Old San Juan! We were able to walk everywhere we eanted to go. All of the staff was friendly and helpful! However, with it being off season, though, the staff was limited which meant check in was slow. Also, the restaurant was closed. Also, there were needed repairs like the leak in our room's bathroom ceiling. The water was pooling around the outlet. Thankfully i noticed it and was able to dry it before i plugged in the hair dryer!

I am travelling to SJU regulary for the last 20 years, its the closes big airport to my home Virgin Gorda. I habe been a guest in this property since its first opening more than a decade ago.
Now the property makes a bit of a rundown impression.
My request for a later checkout resulted in an offer to move from 12:00 to 1:30 for a fee of 50 $. Mentioning the VIP Expedia status (later check out should be free if available) did not help.
So maybe time to say goodbye to this property...
