Would only stay here if you're looking to save a buck. The first room key didn't work so they moved us to another room. The room was adequate but it was musty.

Very nice economical motel with a friendly staff and good location close to Tarleton University. Quick check in to a modest non-smoking room that was clean and comfortable with no smell of smoke. Our stay was peacefully quiet as we didn’t hear any noise from adjacent rooms and only an occasional murmur of noise from the highway. The bed and pillows in room 105 were wonderfully comfortable so we slept great! We will definitely stay at the budget inn on our next trip to stephenville.

There was no one to clean the room or bring new towels. Only one person spoke English, everyone else just said OK, and walked away. For $20 more a night, I should have stayed at any of the other chains. Not worth the money.

The people were so very nice but the hotel is old, desk chair torn with foam hanging out, wall lamp falling down unable to stand up. Shower curtain needed replacing

Filthy! Walls stained, chair and floor were gross and I left wothout getting in the nasty shower. Slept on their bed wrapped in my own blanket and my pillows. Would not recommend this place to an enemy if I had one!

Roof work at time of stay,no working clothes washer,no RFD-TV station or chanel,no lobby coffee.I first stayed at this motel not long after it opened back in 1990,it was the Texan Inn.I would like to see a Texas or Tarleton themed motel if possible,something about this part of Texas.

The building looks really rough on the outside. It desperately needs paint. Even the sign was faded. The parking lot was crumbling. Inside my room, everything was worn and sad looking, but it was cleanish. I say ish because there were cobwebs on the ceiling light fixtures, and the toilet was full of dead crickets. I was able to flush them after 3 tries. I found one more when I returned from an evening out. Bed was comfortable. AC was cold and quiet. There was a microwave and mini fridge. The fridge worked fine. I didnt try the microwave, but it looked ok. The desk clerk was efficient and friendly enough. Overall, my stay was about what I expected for the price. Except for the crickets. . .

1970 bld but I checked reviews , room slightly musty smell but that was only problem , bed very comfortable and no frills , room very clean will stay again front desk help very nice as well

Having a few places that are walking distance from my room is nice and the washer/dryer provided for guests is what I liked too.. I didnt like how the cleanliness of the property isnt too well.

booked with hotels.com was charged by then and the hotel. hotels.com put there charge back on my card next day . room was ok better then the reviews the price was low just there for 1 night it was good for the price I paid

stayed 2 different times in 2 different rooms....older building but alright....front desk guy was nice....felt safe in neighborhood...lots off food joints close....fridge didnt work in one room i was in

All good. No issues expect that there wasnt a kitchen but there wasnt an expectation set that a kitchen would be present.

Our room was given to another person by accident. So it made check in complicated. The manager tried to make the best of the situation but the inconvenience was annoying. In the morning I spotted a group of black insects in the bathroom corner by the ceiling. Not sure but could have been roaches. Only if I have no other choice will I stay there again.
