It was ok, room was clean and breakfast was good. I thought they have a restaurant but no, tap water in the sink takes a while to warm up. Paul was a lovely host.

Was a little apprehensive when I realised the family room was in the loft. My mum has mobility issues so I didn’t think she would be able to access it when Paul told me it was steep, narrow stairs.
I needn’t have worried! The stairs were not that bad and mum managed them.
The room was lovely with a king size bed and another room with 2 single beds. Tea/coffee facilities and biscuits were in the room. En-suite was lovely. One of the best I’ve seen in guest houses and B&B’s.
Paul’s daughter checked us in and she was very welcoming and helpful telling us some local places to eat.
Breakfast was fantastic! Full English breakfast and it was a good size. I couldn’t eat it all! Plenty of toast too! All cooked to order so nice and fresh. The white seeded toast was really nice. Cereal, fruit, yogurt and juice was available to help yourself.
Paul was very friendly and made sure everything was ok.
A bonus was out 2 dogs could stay free of charge!
We will definitely be back. I am glad I have found this B&B and when we attend the dog shows at The Welsh Show Ground this is where we will be booking.

Made very welcome by Paul on arrival. Excellent car parking facilities. Good size clean room and en suite. Bed was a little small for me but there again most are. Excellent choice for breakfast and very enjoyable and tasty. Will stay again

Feel privileged to have found this lovely Guest House. Comfortable bed; Immaculately clean; lovely shared bathroom (and ensuites available); lovely cooked breakfast and breakfast cereals/toast/fruit/coffee. Lovely staff. Thanks all for a fab stay. Hope to see you again.

Loved our 3 night stay at The Horseshoe Guesthouse. Superb complimentary cooked breakfast. Dogs are welcome and there's lots of walks for them nearby.

Good stay, close to everything in the town, unfortunately we were in the loft as there were 4 of us, not easy carrying bags up the stairs, but a nice place all the same.

Quirky but nice, the staff (Paul) were very helpful with good local knowledge. It's a great location within Rhayader for visiting the Elan Valley and local amenities. Netflix on the TV was a bonus and the breakfast was delicious especially the mushrooms.

Lovely stay in a lovely location, great host and he cooked a great breakfast. The village has lots of pubs restaurants and things to do. This isn’t our first stay and it won’t be our last!

Paul was a wonderful, friendly host. Tipped off for the best meal in town, cycle friendly too. Would have been very happy to stay longer but was on a passing visit.

I booked a single room as I was just staying overnight but could have quite happily spent two weeks here. My room was so much nicer than the website pics. Light and airy and beautifully furnished. Breakfast was amazing!

Excellent Guest house, just one street from the town center with its bars, shops and restaurants. Paul the host was very welcoming the whole duration of my stay, he regularly asked if I needed anything. The room was very clean and comfortable with tea and coffee making facilities, they had even filled the kettle with water when I arrived. The Welsh full breakfast was wonderful, freshly cooked and using local produce. (it was that good I purchased bacon and sausages from the butcher to take back home with me) The location is great for a wander in the evening around town, have a beer and some excellent food at the local bars. If you are there on livestock market day, its worth a visit to see the local farmers at work. Don't forget to dip your shoes before you enter the market hall....

Conveniently located in the centre of town, down a nice quiet street. Good sized, well appointed and comfortable rooms. Generous breakfast served by friendly and helpful owner. Orientated to those who wish to make the most of the great outdoors or explore the local attractions. Secure storage for around 6-8 vehicles, including campers or vans. Secure storage shed for bikes too.

My satnav took me direct to the Horseshoe where there was good parking. It is in the centre of Rhayader, so easy to access local facilities. The host, Paul, was very helpful, friendly and polite. My single room was a good size with nice old pine furniture. I hadnt realised when I booked the room that the private bathroom was a shared facility, but it was adjacent to my room. The breakfast was excellent with plenty of choice and served in a lovely dining room. I stayed for two nights at the Horseshoe, and would have stayed longer if Id been able to. Thank you Paul for a great stay.

Just a stopover from North to South Wales. This was easy to find, and very picturesque village.

Working on a local event meant arriving very late and leaving very early. The owner stayed up to make sure we got in ok and packed a massive packed lunch for us because we left before breakfast. Room was big and clean and the hotel was lovely

From start to finish the Horseshoe delivered. Friendly people running the place, right in the middle of everything, plenty of local pubs, big clean room. Absolutely excellent in all regards.
