Lovely dinner experience.

Away from the crowds and bustle of Mont Saint Michel, with great service and food

Somewhat disappointed. Location to Mont Saint Michel was great as was the cleanliness. I knew that the bedroom was upstairs but did not realize or think that you would have to go downstairs to use the bathroom. When we arrived and at other interactions Werner Behra he was friendly and informative. At check in I mentioned it was my birthday. Never have I had a hotel not do something to acknowledge such. Especially at a “five star” property that we were staying at for two nights. The breakfast person not so friendly. On our second morning they were kind enough to allow us to have breakfast at 7:15 (normally starts at 8) to accommodate our needs to get to the airport. Both mornings we were the only ones in the restaurant for breakfast yet it seemed disorganized. On the second day my husband’s omelette was so burned he could not eat it. Be cautious of any drink order. My husband order a Jack Daniels and Diet Coke. When we checked out I saw the charge of 6€ for soda and 15€ for the shot of whiskey. That 21€ is about $23. When I questioned it at check out and made a statement regarding the lack of acknowledgement for my birthday they took the soda off the bill. It did not leave a good impression.

Great proximity to Mont St Michel. Food was very good. Room was spacious and nicely done. Recommend!

We absolutely loved this hotel. The service was friendly, attentive and excellent. The room was comfortable and quiet. The restaurant was excellent. Would absolutely stay here again.

We were not as impressed with the hotel as we were hoping to be given the 5-star rating and the relative expense. I suppose the proximity to Mont Saint Michel accounts for that. But compared to several of the other places we stayed on our month-long trip to France, L'Ermitage was disappointing. Our room was quite comfortable, clean, and roomy, no issues there at all. The public areas, however, were just a little shabby - dying flowers on the reception desk, throw blankets covering the dining room chairs, the hotel manager serving as porter, reception clerk, and waiter. I don't recommend the restaurant - lobster is their specialty and mine was served almost raw. Overall, it was not a good value.

Best hotel we've stayed in France. Service was excellent, the room was spacious and well equipped. The restaurant was great too. Stay for dinner, it is well worth it.

Verner and team offer tremendous hospitality at this beautiful property close to Mont St. Michel. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. Dining at the restaurant onsite is a real treat. They specialize is fresh seafood dishes but also serve items sourced from local farms. We will look forward to returning to this beautiful place one day.

A quaint hotel with excellent staff and offers transport to not St. Michel entrance. Dinner at restaurant was delicious.

Small hotel but very nice rooms. Easy access from the road and close to Mont St. Michel.

This is an absolutely lovely property very close to Mont St Michel.

It is a charming hotel where we were really made to feel welcome. Willy went out of his way to recommend and make bookings for us at local restaurants, help us with planning our last day, helping us change our car reservations. We had a really lovely time consequently. Highly recommend it.

Phenomenal inn with Willie, his wife and the mascot, London, the two-year old English bulldog. Spotless inn with the most comfortable bed I’ve ever experienced. Wonderful food and great service, above and beyond anything expected!

Hotel was amazing and owners were incredibly helpful. Rooms are huge and beautiful and location is perfect for exploring the area.

Wonderful place to stay with terrific owners who do everything possible to assist you in your stay. Location is ideal for visiting Mont St Michel, St Malo or Ducale. Rooms were spacious and beautifully decorated. The food was very good both for breakfast and dinner. The owners are special, wonderful to talk with and very accommodating to all our travel needs.

We loved everything about our stay at L'Ermitage. The owner was truly one of the nicest people I've met abroad. He went out of his way to make suggestions about where to eat, what to see, etc. He called ahead and made reservations for us. Our suite was immaculate and had every possible amenity you could imagine: private deck, two flat screen TVs, espresso machine with free coffee and tea, luxurious bathroom with separate large shower and soaking tub, Wi-Fi, sitting room, extremely comfortable king bed, a plethora of lighting options, etc., etc. We had dinner at the hotel one night and it rivaled some of the better high-end meals of our Paris stay. Security is also very good. The owner had spared no expense in creating a luxury boutique with everything one would expect at a 5-star location. I really can't say enough good things about this hotel.

Beautifully appointed master suite, kind and helpful staff, amazing breakfast and perfect location.

The hosts, Wil and Aubrey were so lovely and attentive. The room was incredible- very spacious bi-level suite with beautiful decor. Breakfast was delicious and fresh. Met their dog London on our way out and he gave us a sweet send-off! Highly recommend this property!!!

This brand new hotel, minutes away from the historic Mont St. Michel, was a real find. Fronted by traditional Norman stone, the inside is modern and spacious. The staff, from the Manager down, could not have been more helpful or friendly suggesting routes to various sites and even downloading maps to make sure we were heading in the right direction. We ate dinner both nights at the hotel and enjoyed the food, especially the local lamb which is naturally salty in taste due to its diet of salty grass by the sea. We would definitely come back to L'Ermitage.
