The staff were very friendly, helpful and accommodating. The area is close to everything and convenient. The standard room I booked is directly above a fish restaurant. The smell in the room was unbearable. I asked to move and had to pay more for another room. There was an air freshener in that room that was extremely strong. I had to place it in a sealed bag. I understand the hotel is in a historic area and old but I felt like I was staying at a hostel. Would not stay there again.

The location is fantastic, right in the middle of the action and it doesn’t get better than this! The rooms are too small (we had two rooms), and the layout of the bathrooms was weird, with the toilet in a super tiny room by itself, while the shower and sink are part of the bedroom. This is totally understandable though because the building is old (maybe historical?), and the incredible location and cleanliness make up for the size and layout. I would definitely stay there again.

I was thrilled to be in the room I had where I could see the Cathedral day or night. I found the staff to be completely helpful and the breakfast offered so many food options excellently prepared and beautifully presented. Thank YOU!!!

Great great location. Quiet, secure hotel cross the street from Cathedral and all means of public transportation, restaurants and shopping. Highly recommended. Could not have asked for more!

Ideal location but not ideal stay. I booked a basic single-looks and sounds much better on line. Very small cramped room with bed in corner, against wall. Dark walls, poorly lit.i didn’t bother with breakfast, left to catch train. Don’t know if it would’ve been worth the extra €17.50. I did very much enjoy Antwerp

Rooms were smaller than led to believe in the photos. poor ventilation. Room was ok otherwise. The staff was very nice, but seemed to have very little local knowledge with regards to restaurants or taxis...the bar/restaurant at the hotel was closed on the weeknight I arrived. Good location in city centre area...but was a bit of a pain with regards to taxi and business connections.

There are loud and drunk people outside all night. You can also hear the noise from the next room. The bathroom was only separated by a curtain, so the humidity in the room made all my clothes damp. The location is great, right in front of the cathedral.

Couldnt check in at all. So much construction that even my recently upddated gps could not find a route to the hotel. After 1 full hour of driving around the neighnourhood had to give up and continue my travels without staying at the hotel.

Not a great room as had a room at back with a dirty courtyard view. Room very dark. Nicer rooms obviously face the front.
Mattress had seen better days- could feel the springs.

Pleasant staff. The hotel is located in a car free zone, so we were aware of this ahead of time, and parked close by in a modern well-lit underground garage, and rolled our bags about a block to the hotel.

The hotel is well located in the heart of Antwerp and for those going to Darklands it only a 20 minute walk. The rooms are spacious and the bed is very comfortable. The breakfast was extra but there was a good selection and plenty of everything and well worth the money. The only slight down side was its a bit of a noisy hotel, you can hear other guests, the lift and other external noise. The hot water also takes a long time to come through, but when it does its perfect. Even with these two issues, I would definitely stay again.

The hotel is in the center of the city in a pedestrianonly area. cons: you have to schlep your bags over cobblestone for at least 700ft., can be noisy from people in the steeet, it's a historic building with a very small footprint. Pros: you are right THERE, staff was exceptionally helpful (a special shout out and thank you to Charline), minor issues were addressed right away, room was modern and unique, and the brwakdast was amazingly good, great variety and quality. Would definitely recommend.

The hotel was in a good location. Next to shops restaurants bars and cafes and not too far from many attractions. Check in was quick & efficient. Rooms quiet. However the internet connection failed the perfect 10 for me. Unsecure network and super slow to connect when it was working.

The location is superb but if you get one of the single rooms they are very dark. There is just a small sliver of window so it feels a bit like staying in a cave

Lovely hotel in the Grote Markt square. The room was quite big and the shower was clean and easy to use.
Be careful that the hotel is in the square where cars cannot enter. You have to park you car in a public car park, 200m from the hotel, but really costly (24€ for one night).
Overall, we are happy for this stay.

The location is prime. With that prime location comes noise. We prepared. Walls were the thinnest of all hotels we stayed in, 10 nights in Belgium. Also there are USB ports next to the bed. Big win. Heater didn’t work and was quite chilly overnight. No 24 hour desk.
