I love everything about the hotel except for the mattress

lighting in bathroom poor. No grab bars in shower. My sister and I are seniors.

Did not have a good experience. Staff was not interested in checking us in and did not seem knowledgeable about the hotel or the area. Room was tiny and very hot and uncomfortable. The hotel said they could not turn on air conditioning. We had to sleep with the window open which did not help much and made it very noisy and hard to sleep.

Stylish, comfy and quiet Walking distance to some great parks, neighborhoods, bookstores and restaurants. Beds were super comfy.

The wait to get into my room was extremely long. Hotel should offer early check in

Nice hotel close to Washington Square Park, Greenwich Village night life and subways. We would go back.

The air conditioning was not working. It was 75 in the room despite being set at 64. We switched rooms once but had the same issue in the second room. They did have a maintenance guy look at system but he didn’t know what was wrong. We were told they would send fans up to room but they never arrived. I felt like the air conditioning was being over ridden and set super high. No matter what we put the thermostat on it was always 74-75. It was a very uncomfortable stay. We couldn’t sleep.

Pretty decor, cozy, 2 fireplaces in lounge and dining room. Gold tray ceilings, brown/gold decor...very small but cozy bar area. Rooms small but comfy, bathroom very clean, bkack/white subway tiled. Felt safe and well cared for..walkable to highline parking garage next door

Lovely hotel. Bed and pillows were not of the same calibre as the rest of the place…

The wait staff was amazing at Society Cafe! Super friendly. Santiago (bartender) was especially professional and nice.

Very nice hotel in excellent location, food was average (we had breakfast) , room quite small but overall very pleasant stay.

Nice experience. I love the free bottle of water and drinks available. Also staff were friendly enough to supply umbrellas on a rainy day.

We fell victim to a misleading listing. In the photos, the city view looks good, but what we got was just a view of another crappy apartment building . I just don't get what I paid a few hundred dollars for. Worst experience ever, and it was my first time using Expedia, so I wouldn't recommend this horrible app to anyone. They charge hundreds of dollars for ugly, tiny, stinky rooms.
The service is no what i was inspecting the front desk check in agent was unfriendly.

Couldn't ask for a better location for us. Walkable to all we wanted. Plus, easy safe and comfortable with late night returns to the hotel (walking). Hotel was beautiful and quiet.

Positives: unique boutique hotel, staff are nice, free coffee and water.
Negatives: our room was tiny, $20 a day expenses whether you use it or not. Tried the food, salad and pizza. Salad leaves were so bitter, pizza was super floppy and it did not taste great. Stick to the classics and more people would use the restaurant and you wouldn’t need to take $20 a day per guest.

We had a disappointing experience. The AC in the room was very weak. There was no AC in the hallways and there was a musty smell. We registered our dog at check in but were repeatedly asked if we paid for her. At check out time the front desk was understaffed (one employee). The bar and restaurant staff were lovely.

My sister and I rented 2 rooms here to stay with our daughters. I made the reservation and my sister checked in while I parked the car. This led to HOURS of issues where our prepaid reservation was double charged on my sister's card as she had checked in and required multiple staff members to sort out while we tried to get in to the second room. A very nice manager managed to get it sorted, but by then we were in a real rush to get to our evening reservations. Additionally, our rooms were unbearably HOT. Apparently the a/c gets turned on in May and we were there in April. The staff knew the rooms would be uncomfortable and sent up fans, but the rooms were at > 90° all night, even with the doors open to the hallway and fans on. It really hard to sleep. The rooms were nicely decorated, as were the bathrooms, but I cannot remember a less comfortable stay anywhere.

Staff was fantastic. The room had water dripping from the ceiling the last night of my stay likely due to humidity, but it completely soaked the carpet and was kinda gross. I let the front desk know, but they were full and couldn’t move me to a new room.

This was one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in. The staff are so helpful, genuine and authentic. The hotel itself is lovey (which is easy to tell from the photos), but it is also in the perfect spot to experience New York. Highly recommend staying here when in NYC!

Loved the location. Close to the subway and Murray’s Bagels was right around the corner. It was the perfect quick breakfast spot. Happy Hour in the lobby was lively. The room was cozy, super quiet and really beautiful. We’ll be back!!!

Very welcoming and friendly hotel! Front desk is 11/10. Love the aesthetic of the entire hotel. Their restaurant has phenomenal eggs Benedict! Highly recommended staying here.

The hotel was very dark and uncomfortable. They didn't have the AC on despite it being over 78 F the day I arrived. They didn't have an ice machine. I had to request a fan be brought up to me and when I dried my hair in the morning, the fuse blew and half the room lost power, which meant my fan stopped working. I paid almost $600 per night, I was expecting something else for the money!!!

As sa nice small hotel. Service and cleaning could have been better. Lobby is lovely and the location is perfect.

The pictures do NOT reflect the actual rooms, which aren’t bad, but definitely not luxurious. They are cramped and the amenities are non- existent. Customer service is an absolute joke. The atmosphere is very gloomy. It’s not a historical quaint hotel as one might think, but in need of major renovation. HOW is this hotel 4.5 stars? Maybe 4.5 out of 10!!!!! Spend your money elsewhere.

A comfy cozy hotel with a small lobby that contains comfortable seating, fresh flowers, and a fireplace. Very helpful and accommodating staff. Has a family vibe, although very stylish.

The location in Greenwich is great! Walkable to many restaurants and shopping in Greenwich and West Village. The hotel is charming and has many unique features. Enjoyed the evening jazz in the lobby and happy hour snack and cocktails options. Brunch in the Society Cafe was delicious. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Dale, the doorman, was especially gracious. Rooms are small, but normal for NYC standards. My only issue was with air conditioning in the room. It was April and unusually warm weather for the second day of our stay. Our room was warm when we returned that evening. I cut the air conditioning to cool and found that the room was only getting warmer. The front desk said that the hotel did not have air until May. They sent up a fan and I opened a window. This would be concerning for a future stay for me during potentially warm weather season.

Hotel is decent, and provides the needed.
i like the retro touch of the phone and the classic radio.
The hotel should provide complementary water bottles in the room.

Great location and staff. Cute bar for happy hour drinks! Our only issue was that there is no air conditioning at this time of year and it was 80 degrees outside so our room was incredibly hot and uncomfortable. They did offer fans, but they should really consider having a/c in the shoulder season as well.
