Friendly staff. Central location and very close to ferry. Good food. We were able to park right outside after 6pm. The room was excellent and spacious but let down on just one small annoyance - the shower is a hand held one in the bath but the hook on the wall for the shower head was broken and you had to hold the shower head all the time.

the best breakfast the large does the job after night on the booze

Take a step back in time...The Bugle Coaching Inn is a 16th Century charming Inn. The manager, John, takes great care in making your stay the Best that it can be! The location is perfect! Breakfast was very good!

Very centrally situated for the town, a relaxed atmosphere with a nice breakfast and polite staff.

Very central, everything I needed for a one night stay

Hi unfortunately the bath panel wasn’t fixed properly and the shower had to be hand held as the fixing g was broken and the quilt was dirty stained so we had to use the spare duvet -room was a bit tired -this was mentioned on leaving
Food was ok though

The room had no shower, water temp variable and the electric kept shutting off due to a fault the staff were unable to fix. The room was tired and needed a complete facelift.

The Bugle is in a prime location on the quay at Yarmourth. The bar area has a wide selection of drinks and is very busy and active... very good for early evening .... the staff were great and helpful and very chatty. The rooms were a little 'tired' and would benefit from modernisation. This is the second time we have stayed there in the past 3 years whoever we are unlikely to stay again until the rooms are upgraded

The hotel was very noisy, the bed is unbearable! It’s so uncomfortable, I can sleep anywhere and couldn’t hear. The location is superb but couldn’t stay here again.

Very handy location for the Lymington ferry. Good supper and breakfast.

This pub was excellent for a stay in Yarmouth and room more spacious than we expected with a living area as well as bedroom. Rooms and furniture could do with an uplift but all good value for money. Could be improved with a B&B rate which we actually thought we had booked. Pub area was good and excellent outside area for catching the sun :)

Our favourite hotel we stayed in on the Isle of Wight. Really nice big room with good view. Really helpful and great food in the evening

Lovely vibrant town but parking is a challenge.

A very comfortable and pleasant room and the location was perfect! In spite of the football match taking place on the television in the pub below it wasn’t noisy and I was able to relax and get a good sleep!

Location

Centrally located but a bit noisy with early delivery traffic as a consequence. Room getting a bit tired. Would suggest having breakfast elsewhere.

We were welcomed and shown our room which was very comfortable, especially the beds. It's a lovely pub right in the centre of town and a minute's walk from the ferry.
Only one key between the two of us. We're not a couple so may have wanted to go home at different times which would've been awkward.
The bathroom layout was weird. The bath was placed under a sloping ceiling so you couldn't stand up for a shower, and the door didn't lock. Nice hot water though.

Great location and lovely old building the rooms were clean but in need of updating.

What we expected
4.0
Reasonably priced and clean room, with plenty of space (room 3). We even had a hint of a sea view. Bath fixtures could use maintenance; an adjustable height shower would be a great improvement.
Bed was comfortable.
It’s not a modern building so has plenty of charm but expect noise to carry - we could hear the morning deliveries, refuse collection, and the evening music.
Catering is OK but nothing special. Located right near the ferry and other pubs in Yarmouth. Overall great value for money.

Nice Pub/Hotel. My daughter and granddaughter stayed. Liked it. Central by ferry and shops. Hey did not eat. Tea and coffee in room. But no hot chocolate. Second time of staying.

Room 7. The worst mattress every. Even consider sleeping on the floor as a preferable option.

One night, part of walking holiday. Staff friendly and efficient. Lovely restaurant.

Historic coaching inn in a central location. Convenient stop on our cycle around the island. Plenty of space to store bikes in back courtyard. Good food and very helpful staff

The room was very tried and facilities basic - I guess that’s why it’s a fairly cheap price for Yarmouth.
Bed was very uncomfortable.
Bar, drinks and food are ok.

The Bugle is an old coaching Inn, and has the lovely quaint side that it entails, it’s decor is tired but clean, not perfect but totally adequate for our needs. The bedding etc was spotless and comfortable. The food was delicious and came out piping hot, as was the breakfast, great quality products. The staff and management were very friendly and efficient, I would certainly return.

Fab customer service

Nice old building and room looked light airy and clean. However our door lock was hanging off, the bed was sunken on one side, the water tank must have been in or near iur room as the sound of running water was on and off all night, so bad night sleep. But worst of all was the shower, linked to the taps on the bath. Temperature control was impossible so you either burn or freeze and it was a dribble and sometimes stopped too. Wouldn't stay again.

The room was comfortable, the staff were helpful and the meal options were good for my stay.

Olde worlde pub. Rooms comfortable but a bit shabby. Breakfast was extra and would suit those who like a meaty fry-up - we are vegetarian. There is no parking at the hotel.

I travel quite often, and have stayed in all kinds of places, including some pretty basic B&Bs.
I’ve got to say this is one of the worst hotels I have ever stayed in, it’s about 20 years past needing a full restoration in the bedrooms and bathrooms, and it wasn’t even particularly clean. I had a terrible night sleep in a very uncomfortable bed that was not long enough for Anyone taller than 6’2”
I was also kept awake all night by the noisiest central heating system I’ve ever come across. Every 20 minutes it would clank and bang in my room, I tried turning the valves on the radiators off, but it didn’t help.
There was no shower, which would be okay if the bath was a normal size and had taps that could fill it in less than 20 minutes. Instead, I had a very uncomfortable soak in a bath that was so narrow it pressed against both hips.
The state of decor was disgusting, huge handprints on the wall (see photo), paint flaking of everything, windows that were installed in the 1920s, and have not been painted since. You get the idea, I don’t need to list everything.
Stay away from here.

Staff very friendly and helpful great food and beer room facilities and decor a bit tired could do with updating
3.0
On the whole a good stay. Staff and food excellent. Only downside for me at 6 feet tall was being in a attic room with very low sloping ceilings which caught me out several times when not concentrating like switching on the kettle, getting out of the bath and even using the loo. I have a few reminders of my stay.

Great location. Food is very good indeed, ideal for a family and dog friendly.
Evening meal food quality fantastic, great menu and service.

Rooms were very tired and walls were actually dirty with fingerprints, coffee and other stains….
Bed very uncomfortable - could feel the springs.
Shower was held held and needed to be a contortionist to get wet….
But…..
Very cheap and well located….
Pub downstairs is fine

The pub common areas are cosy and pleasant as are the staff, but the room is in need of refurbishing. All very tired and old fashioned. Minimal amenities although there are tea/coffee making facilities. A couple of biscuits but not replaced after first night.

I stayed here for 1 night the staff are very helpful .. the rooms are very spacious as my room had a separate living area to the bedroom
will be coming back
