This place was AMAZING! Our host, Mark, was wonderful and very accommodating to our needs and requests. He was very personable, told us stories about the area, and let us in on the plans to do some period-appropriate upgrades to the house! The tillie pierce room was cozy, easily accessible, and perfect for the two of us. We were lucky and were the only guests staying at the time which was nice to come and go as we pleased - which was perfect since the main town is a quick walk away. We also walked to the Gettysburg Diorama museum and the Lincoln Train Museum, and we took a trip to the battlefield and walked around there. We will definitely be staying here again!

Christine, the innkeeper during our stay was very dedicated. She also gave some additional information about the home and town. We appreciated that! The rooms weren't fancy but they were very comfortable, quiet and decorated as close to period as possible. It's a lovely house and Tillie Pierce's story is amazing. The location is great. If you like a period type setting and a great location downtown, this is a good choice!

This property is registered July 1863 Civil War building. The staff are awesome and very accommodating. If you want to know what it was like to live back in 1860s visit the Tillie Pierce inn

If you are going to Gettysburg, stay at a bed and breakfast. The Tillie Pierce House is a good choice. Close to downtown Gettysburg and walking distance to restaurants, shops, and ghost tours. We stayed one night but our stay was comfortable. Pleasant staff and great breakfast. It was very hot with temps in the mid 90's but the Tillie Pierce House has central air conditioning and the temp was very comfortable. Small but clean rooms and a comfortable bed. Enjoy your stay.

Tillie Pierce House is a beautiful old, well maintained, and tastefully decorated bed and breakfast place centrally located in historic Gettysburg. It is conveniently located close to shopping, restaurants and historic sites. The Innkeeper was also friendly and professional. Breakfast was also very good.

The house is over 150 yrs old. Beautiful place. I would have liked a tv in the room with some stations. A chair would be nice, too.

Nice, historic, easy walk to most anything in Gettysburg. Friendly, helpful staff. Room small but adequate; couch/folding bed was OK to sleep on once I rearranged cushions under the thin mattress pad.

We had a lovely 3 day stay at the Tillie Pierce home. No luck enticing the ghost cat to play with the toy we set on the floor! The hostess was super friendly and very knowledgeable about the area. I would stay here again.

The Innkeeper, Bob, was very pleasant and accommodating. Each room had their own bathroom and there were snacks and drinks available at all times. It was conveniently close to the festivities on the square on New Year's Eve.

Wow, such a unique story (Tillie Pierce's) of not just the battle of Gettysburg but of the town and it's civilians afterward. We bought the book that she wrote (available at the B&B) and read it aloud and it gave CHILLS as we realized that the things we were reading happened RIGHT THERE. Great way to connect the civilian experience with the overall history.
The facilities aren't the poshest - no raised pinkies here - but it was clean and comfortable and all we needed!

We had an enjoyable stay at the Tillie Pierce House Inn. We were in town for a wedding, and Gail was very friendly and helpful. The inn was comfortable and in a great location. Everything was within walking distance. Great restaurants, shops, tours, and pubs. We will definitely come back to see more of the battlefield. We loved Gettysburg and the inn!

The Inn has wonderful character and the innkeepers are pleasant and friendly. The breakfast was good (however a bit later than we would prefer). The only real concern was that the bathroom had not been cleaned properly before our arrival.

As the house is on a busy street, be prepared for traffic sounds during the night.

Lady was wonderful. Bed was very uncomfortable. Shower had mold in the cracks of the shower walls....not a huge deal but i do clean mine at home weekly to avoid this. No tvs in personal rooms. There is a tv in a shared room . Not my thing.i thought it was a great stay other than tjose little things. Its in a great location. They have a ghost cat by the way...which is what we were told, we dont believe in those things, so i just laughed it off, but i will say i was pleasantly surprised....they definitely have a ghost cat.
