Everything was really good for the price there were a couple things that could make the bathroom better like adding a hand held shower and mirror above the sink larger for tall people like me had to bend a little to see myself in the mirror, also housekeeping in bathroom was below my expectations we found a paper piece in the shower and a coucarache maybe from shower drain wich some times happen, also a couple hairs, the bed were really comfortable I sleept like a baby, just a little more attention to small details other than that was perfect, we stayed only one night but definitle will come back.

Hotel has been investing in renovations, however there was no shower wand in an otherwise large & new shower, and although the plantation shutters are lovely, blackout curtains would also be nice, especially given the large security lights throughout the parking lot. A/C struggled to cool room, and there weren't any over-mirror lights which made getting ready a bit of a mystery in the morning. Convenient location on the main street, but you have to drive a bit for restaurants.

Bare bones but fine for the price.

Only wish they had caffeinated coffee. Otherwise it was great. Its an older property with character and had a few wild cats/kittens so I knew it was a safe place. BTW wild cats = no rats

My wife and I both enjoyed our stay. The room was clean and comfortable. The washer and dryer worked...though they are old, and a bit rusted. One of the dryers really requires close attention on closing the front door. I mentioned to the day manager, upon checkout, that they should have their guy with the leaf blower pay attention to making sure the rubber door entry mats are clean, as that is the first thing you associate with your room.

Liked how convenient the parking and how nice the staff. Did not like that only 1 bed is available.

Quiet hotel and reasonably priced.

Central location

A basic property but certainly clean and safe. Would return if I'm in porteville. Staff super helpful. Great job gentleman at front desk. The one thing I would say is porterville is small so getting a taxi or Uber or Lyft will be tough and or expensive. Be prepared.

Horrible room they charged a 200 dollar deposit which they dont tell u online but when you go to pay they dump the deposit..by then uts to late bcuz u are already booked in..it looks good from outside but the bed was lopsided nite lamp n dresser was broken no screens on windows so dont leave bathroom windows open they have no iron the bedding was horrible..it was just a bad experince overall..

I personally was not impressed with this motel. The outside parking lot was dingy and looked like it never had repairs. The air conditioning didn’t work when I walked, so I had to call the front office to fix it. And the rooms themselves were too small to be comfortable. The one good thing was the showers, which looked new and retrofitted. Unlike the bedroom itself, the new showers are spacious too. Even so, I wouldn’t stay here again.

Great location if you are on a budget. Checked in very late and was very efficient. Plenty of parking.

Property is well maintained and everything was very clean. They have only 1 floor, it was very easy to access all the rooms. They also provided mini fridge and microwave. It was not mentioned in room description, when I booked online. Only issue I faced was that door was not closing easily. I had to pull the door upwards to close it.

Property was easy to find. Room phone did not work so had to walk to front desk to get hair dryer. Security lock would not engage so felt a little vulnerable.

Truthfully my 2 kids and I are experiencing some really hard times right now and we were just really overwhelmed and tired and just wanted rest. Mind you you have only been there for one day and two o'clock the maids knocking on the door for housekeeping and I told them no that we were asleep and I wasn't dressed they said okay I fell back asleep and I wake up to the front desk clerk in my room telling me that I had to leave the room and let the maids clean the room that I didn't have a choice that his parents called him and told him to come tell me that mind u I'm in my underwear and he's standing over my bed arguing with me we still had two more nights in the motel and he kicked us out and only gave me back my 200 dollar deposit when I got there two rooms that they put me in were not cleaned so I moved rooms a total of two times and then the room I was in at last the door didn't even shut latch or lock for that matter. Horrible sense of people terrible customer service I wouldn't send my dog there especially the kind of money they want for their rooms

The hotel itself was clean, and looks to be freshly renovated. But it is VERY outdated. And small. The bed was the hardest bed ive ever slept on. The room is "non smoking". But absolutely stank of cigarette smoke as soon as we opened the door. . The best thing about the room was the bathroom. It was huge, and nice. They should have put some of that wasted bathroom money into fixing up the sleeping quarters more.

Easy parking. Sink was clogged although the front desk offered me if they can transfer me tp another room

Like the location on Main st, room is nice, air conditioning was great. My only complaint is i wish the beds were just a little bit more comfy i like a firm bed but it just needs a little more cushioning. Other thaen that i always stay here when visiting Porterville.
