Parking was a bit far. The city was beautiful but adult only. Definitely not small children friendly

The gentleman checking us in was a bit ubrupt. Felt like we were an imposition. Not welcoming. Had a "$45 incidental charge" added to the room pricr that we were not informed about. Said it would be refunded. Room was clean and nice but AC didnt keep too cool. Think it might have been haunted as we heard a vacuum twice during the night around 2:30 am and other noises.

Room was cute, I feel it’s very overpriced. I understand it’s a touristy area, but it was the most expensive place we stayed on our 1 week trip driving across the west never staying in one place twice. We didn’t even get to shower because our tub faucet was loose and it was spraying water all over the bathroom and leaking onto floor from the bottom of the tub as well. When my husband told the front desk that it was a major water issue, they didn’t act concerned at all amd that was that.

Friendly staff. Rooms looked a little old and were not the cleanest. Our shower door was broken and only opened halfway. Rooms were dark with little lighting and our view was of a brick wall if we opened the windows.

We have stayed at this hotel a few times over the years and we recommend it to whoever inquires about places to stay in Deadwood. This time was not the best. First, the room was freezing, and I had to Google the instructions on how to work the thermostat. I did ask for an extra pillow, I didn't get one, but I do understand that one may have not been available. Then there was something on the bathroom floor, we could not figure out what it was, we used a towel to clean it up. The first morning, we went to make coffee and there was a crushed beer can under the coffee maker. I called the front desk to see about getting the room cleaned a little better and told her I'd let her know when we left for the day. I then went to take a shower and there were no washcloths. When we left I stopped at the front desk and told her we were leaving for the day. She said she'd let housekeeping know. We returned roughly 8 or 9 hours later, and nothing was done! Emily went in and done it all while we were at dinner. She was exceptional and did more than I expected her to! Now to go back to the first morning, no breakfast unless you'd want a bagel. There was no batter to have pancakes and no milk to have cereal. We waited because someone was going to refill it but they didn't come so we had to go elsewhere for breakfast. No coffee in our room either morning. 2nd morning, a bunch of coffee grounds in the cup. Emily deserves a kudos as she did what the housekeeper should have done to begin with.

Our choice of the Hotel by Gold Dust was complete random. The main reason for selecting it was that it is located in Deadwood, SD, which we knew nothing about. What a fun place to stay! We were greeted by a friendly host and given all the information we needed to check in and park our car. The room was clean, the bed comfy, and the amenities suited our needs. Nothing luxurious, but we didn’t expect luxury in a old time Western town. We are so happy we chose the Hotel by Gold Dust.

The room we were booked into a room that had dried blood on the bed sheets. The complimentary breakfast does not include hot food except for pancakes. Will not be booking this hotel in the future.

Meh tiny room, dirty plastic tub, toilet continuously running, spotty tv service, noisy location outside windows did poor job of isolating Sounds, early trash truck banging around every morning to empty dumpsters, busy road with steel expansion joints enhanced traffic noise, I wore earplugs and am half deaf and still could not rest. Parking is tight all over this town lot provided fills up completely on weekends. Not looking for a smug response from management or a refund I just think that this is not the boutique hotel I read about and if it is I sure didn’t get that experience The lobby is clean and breakfast area stocked with the usual food items minus any meats the arrangement of item’s defied my idea of what makes things easy say a toaster next to items to be toasted probably a space thing I enjoyed day one in town exploring but would stay else where in the future too many people not enough parking high prices and low entertainment value stop

The hotel is in a great location. Street noise is terrible

The room was not very clean. The microwave was dirty. There was orange stuff splattered on the walls. The AC unit was duct taped into the window. The road noise was very loud. The price we paid was not worth the room we stayed in.

The rooms were not quiet but the staff was welcoming and the location was great. Breakfast was good. Parking is close, but not on the same property but was easy enough to find and get to.

Great stay, the hotel & room were very clean! The check in process was pretty easy, I appreciated the free parking & breakfast in the morning. I was accidentally over charged but the hotel rectified that pretty quickly after I contacted them.

Biggest pro was the location of this hotel. Very walkable, easy to get to everything. The front desk gal who checked us in was very nice. Cons: the room and price. We went with another couple and we paid for the same room when we showed up we were told sorry your friends have the nice room. I asked if we paid the same and she said yes sorry. We just drove 13 hours to get there and our room that was almost $400 a night (which is much higher than normal because of kool deadwood nights) was a small box. The bathroom was tiny and the tub had what looked like mold on the edge. When we went to our friends room it was much larger the bathroom had a walk in shower and you could actually walk in the room. If we paid the same, the rooms should have been the same or taken some money off our ridiculous bill. Overall, it was convenient but disappointing.

The young lady at the desk had a major attitude in the room was very noisy. I stayed in room 120. There was loud traffic outside the window and service vehicles working all night long. Lots of other choices I would avoid this place

Overall was fine. Small rooms but fairly clean. Had shower problems but they fixed the next day. Portable air conditioner in the rooms and worked ok but hose kept falling out and would pump hot air in the room until I put it back so, waking up during the night to do this wasn’t ideal.. otherwise was an ok stay..

Front desk staff was amazing! Great room- nice and clean. Perfect location on the main road in Deadwood. Right in the middle of everything!

Pleeeease print up a map showing guests where to park because the verbal directions were awful. Apart from that this was a nice clean hotel right next to the fun of Downtown Deadwood. Which is lots of fun. Also reception staff were generally excellent. Highly recommended.

We wanted a hotelclose to the main strip so we could easily walk everywhere. Location was great. The room was a bit small and cramped, and I was afraid to use the Keurig because it was sitting in the bathroom. Seemed like an unclean spot for it. But, the bed was very comfortable.

Nice location but small room. Air conditioning unit was terribly loud.
