This property is perfect for solo travelling! It was my first time in a hostel and I felt very safe the entire time. I met some great people while staying there:)

What a grand stay!! This was my first solo trip ever and i felt very safe, taken care of, and welcomed beyond my belief. Couldn’t have asked for a better stay- or better staff. I know y’all pay them extra to be kind to me ;) House on the water, boat in the window- the american dream baby. I love you Galway- & others. Mwuah!! -L

Overall great, I do recommend earplugs when sleeping but that's goes for all hostels. But it can get a little from the bar below.
I never expect there to not be noicy at an hostel and you shouldn't either :)
Staff is super friendly and helpfull! Common area a tiny but cozy!
Showers are just how I want them. You own area with room to place shampoo and you stuff secure and dry outside in you little cubicle.
As always I struggling with a proper place to dry my towel. I hate hanging it at the bed. And difficult to do with a lower bed
But overall great stay, would stay here again.

A Fantastic Hostel To Stay At. Very Clean. Wonderful staff. Beautiful Breakfast daily. Central to everything. Main Bus port straight opposite. Perfect storage. Able to have a bag of washing washed and dried cheaply.

Great location. The bed and blankets were comfy. Room stayed a good temperature despite 5 people. The bathrooms were clean and tidy.

The staff was very warm and friendly. Great options for things to do in the area and free breakfast and tea/coffee every morning. The kitchen smelled of delicious baked goods every afternoon I was there :)

Convenient location near the center of Galway. Short walk to the shopping and restaurant district. The hostel was well kempt with friendly and accommodating staff. There is no parking at the hostel, but there are plenty of parking garage options nearby. The one negative is that the room with 4 beds was small with little space to maneuver in even when there was just 2 people present. For a one night stay as a solo traveler, it was well worth it for its central location.

There is a parking lot for the train just about 100 meters from the entrance that has overnight parking for €6.50. the staff was amazing and the group activities are absolutely worth doing for the experience. Great location in the city with tons of options around for whatever you could want to do.
My only complaint would be that staying in a Hostel a lot of us were ready to check out by 6 or 7am and there is no way to self check out so we all were waiting around for several hours which did put a damper on my early morning plans.

Really great spot to stay and meet other travelers. The staff were super friendly and helpful. Doors are bit loud but otherwise, lovely place to stay.

Great hostel for staying in the city on a budget. I had interactions with multiple staff members and they could not have been more helpful or friendly. Made my stay so comfortable. Pub walk with other local hostels every night.

The hostel is right in the middle of Galway and walking distance to all of the pubs and shops. I took part in a pub crawl which was really fun and I highly recommend. What a great time and great hostel.

I caught covid in the shared dorm. The dorm was very warm even in autumn temperatures. The dorm is right over a pub that has live music even in a Monday so it is quite noisy.
Otherwise it was a good place to stay.

This was a perfect location in the center of town, right above a fun pub. Staff was incredibly present, friendly and helpful. Breakfast and coffee included, discount on a nearby parking garage was really nice. Lockers and a padlock are provided to keep items safe. Also towels are provided. Privacy curtains on the bunks in shared rooms were very appreciated. Next time, I'd bring my own little travel fan for some airflow and white noise.

Haven’t been to heaps of hostels to compare but this one is nicer for sure. Friendly staff, bathrooms checked every hour, curtains around the bed, close to everything in town.

It was my second time to stay very recently enjoyed it as much the first time the staff are excellent and a great vibe and so central to galway highly recommend it as a hostel well done guys

Was a good stay bit of a mix up as regards the booking I wanted to be in at least 6 bed dorm but was showing 12 bed the 6 was available for night not the second seemingly there is a 4 bed dorm which would suit better but lovely stay and would stop again staff were excellent and very accommodating which made the experience more enjoyable so YES WELL DONE WILL STAY AGAIN

I had such an incredible experience staying at Galway City Hostel—this was the last leg of a two week trip to Europe for me, and it was my first time traveling out of the states. I had friends from home with me for other portions of the trip, but was traveling solo when I hit Galway. I could not imagine how I could’ve felt more at home and welcomed here. I had a blast on the pub crawl lead by Luke, guessing people’s zodiac signs with Tom, and getting to know everyone who was around while I was. There’s something special going on at Galway City Hostel!

Everyone who worked there was super nice, there’s a kitchen to cook in and they have a pub crawl. I was easily able to make friends here.

I have never been in an hostel as good as this one! It really clean, with many modern bathrooms and showers. The staff gives free towels and, under a low deposit, a lock to secure your stuffs in a box under your bed. Staff members were really kind and helpful, and especially Sarah helped me a lot with a problem with my booking.
Furthermore, Galway is a really beautiful city, I think the most beautiful and peculiar city in Ireland and the hostel is in the city center, at 2 minutes walking by the rail and bus station.
Surely I will book in this hostel the next time I will go to Galway….and I will go!!!
