We loved everything about this hotel. The staff was outstanding, competent, helpful, and friendly. the breakfast was outstanding. the facilities are beautifully understated, yet first class. We would recommend to anyone.

Our room was elegant, large, and charming. Right on the water, you can walk Stari Gard easily. The staff is excellent and the breakfast is lovely. (I recommend the Sunshine eggs.) I meant to get a hotel in Hvar town and when I realized my mistake, I wasn't allowed to cancel the reservation. But that turned out to be a blessing in disguise because Stari Gard is even more relaxing than Hvar and an easy bus ride from Hvar. And, it's probably just me, but the only signage outside the hotel says Mausoleum, but it's the big, pink building.

We booked the deluxe double room with seaview and balcony and it exceeded expectations! We were right in the harbor and a short walk from the old town. The room was quiet and extremely clean and comfortable. All the staff were very helpful and welcoming. We really enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend this hotel for your stay in Stari Grad!

The building is beautiful and the terrace is fantastic. Apart from being checked in by a very unprofessionally dressed person the staff was adequate. Excellent location on the water!

Lovey old historic building, perfect location, great breakfast, stayed in room 5 which is the only room with sea view balcony, was a nice room. No fridge or coffee machine though. Staff friendly and helpful however they would smoke out the front of the hotel which I could smell at times in my room and when walking in and out of hotel. For a non smoker, not good! Staff don’t seem to have a uniform, pretty laid back in that regard. Hotel has a lift which was good. Cleaner for the room didn’t remove old coffee cup during our 4 nights, left sat in room table. The shower was really good and powerful. Bed and pillows soft. Would say it is a 3.5 star hotel, not 4. A couple little things stop it from being a 4 star to me having stayed at many 4 and 5 stars hotels however I would stay again for sure!

Lovely hotel in beautiful setting. A+ location. We had a nice spacious room with view and modern amenities. Staff were great. Lovely terrace. Only let down was the restaraunt - which had glacially slow service.

I would stay again but with a few changes As we went with friends, I saw a few rooms, and they were all stunning with harbour views. Our room was at the top and although enormous the lift well formed part of it. The glass lift lights made the bedroom too light at night, and a bit noisy. The bed was a little hard for us We had dinner and unfortunately it was very slow arriving and disappointing Despite the few negative points I would stay there again very happily.

Excellent hotel in Stari Grad, It is located right at the front of the marina which is beautiful and also busy. The hotel is well maintained and the staff are excellent, The only slight criticism I have is on the food front. The quality and selection of foods should be improved otherwise the hotel is excellent.

We loved this hotel. They took such good care of us and the restaurant was excellent. Highly recommend it—much less touristy than Hvar Town.

This is a decent hotel in many regards but the final experience ruined everything. We asked the manager to call us a taxi to the ferry, a 3 minute car journey. On arriving at the ferry terminal we were told the fee was 100 kuna (£12 GBP). That is a total rip off. And it turns out that the hotel gets commission on the fee. For a fee this high, we should have been told in advance. We were told the price at the destination with no option but to pay. VERY BAD CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE.

Large suites, very comfortable. Rooms are of a period style so not chic and modern but have lots of character. Beautiful building, friendly helpful staff - helped organise mopeds taxis etc, nice breakfast. Stari Grad is a lovely port town so there are lots of nice restraurants nearby, and you are about 15/20mins from the busier hvar town.

We travelled in Croatia for over 2 weeks and this was a highlight of our trip. The town is precious and the hotel is simply amazing. Little pretty hotel with wonderful service and surrendings.
