very comfortable and close to centre

We stayed for 2 nights in a private room with a bank bed and a sink, which was just great for our needs. The bed linen was lovely fresh. All members of staff were very helpful. Continental breakfast which we had on both mornings was lovely, with yummy natural jogurt, selection of flavoured jogurts, cereals, muesli, croissants, toasts, jams, honey, fruits. The sea town with boutiques, bars and pubs, and the sea front were within 5 mins walking distance. Perfect location for exploring the area. Highly recommended.

The hostel itself was clean and my room was comfortable, however....I feel that the hostel could have been more accommodating to me and my friends request. I understand that the people that work there are volunteers, but we had a situation in which we needed just a little flexibility. We were due to attend a wedding, travelling from the south-coast that morning. The wedding was due to start at 2pm, but we couldn't check in until 5pm. We had no where to leave our bags, to get ready. Our request was that we would be able to use just one room or the bathroom to get ready and have somewhere to leave our belongings, and if possible check in early...these requests were declined. Instead we had to get ready in a car park, attend the wedding and then leave to check in later that afternoon and return to the wedding. This made our day much more stressful than it should have been.

Overall the hostel was great. Friendly staff, clean rooms and everywhere. Quiet on our visit. Large common areas, pool table, board games, large variety of drinks for sale at reception. The shower rooms and loos are in the corridor so if you need to get up in the night then maybe you need a hotel. The room doors are heavy and clunk and click when opened and closed which will wake others at night. Kitchen is well equipped, everything you need to make meals. A good place overall.

Very good value, tidy, clean and has good facilities (common room, kitchen, canteen, showers, bike shed etc). Staff were friendly and helpful. Close to Sheringham centre and the beach.

Really impressed by the price and facilities of the YHA Sheringham

Good youth hostel, does what it says on the tin.

It's a hostel, so don't expect hotel standards...but by hostel standards it's very good, with a location convenient for the town centre and very close indeed to a large supermarket for buyjng provisions. It's important to note the door code as staff go off-duty at 10pm. The mattresses were a bit squeaky and there really ought to be more than two power sockets in a three-bed room. Bring an adapter! There are fixed soap dispensers in the rooms but not in the showers and the latter lack a suitable shelf or adequate hooks for clothing and personal toiletries. COVID precautions were scrupulous and there are quick-drying surface sprays which they encourage guests to use in communal facilities.

Great location close to the town and beaches. Norfolk coastal walks, pubs and restaurants all within a few minutes' walk. Very quiet location close to the railway station for those coming by train and with ample parking for car drivers. Friendly and helpful staff, it's a lovely place to stay.

Nice hostel in easy walking distance to very pretty town and seafront. Good amount of parking and free! Might have been quieter than normal due to covid? Would revisit.

Bedroom and showers and lavatories were spotless. We had a secure and comfortable stay and would happily return.

The room was quite quiet and very private, and had a washbasin, and there were plenty of showers and toilets. The room was quite large so it was a shame that the bed had to be quite so tiny. Hostels emphasise cleaning for yourself, especially since COVID, but they fail on the details, so there was nowhere to hang my towel in the shower because the peg was full of cleaning equipment, and the squeegee for cleaning the shower was, itself, mouldy.The reaction to COVID caused some silly decisions, so there is really no reason to close the self-catering kitchens for an airborne disease.

Great location in beautiful Sheringham, walking distance to everything, free parking, good covid measures in place. Shower booking worked well. Can't comment on the wider facilities as they weren't open due to the pandemic, but this didn't affect our stay.

The Hostel was very clean and warm, the staff were very helpful and it was an easy check-in.

First time in a youth hostel (Not being much of a youth these days -) and chose it as there was no availability in other local hotels. However I was very impressed with the setup. Its basic of course but everything very clean and well maintained, friendly and helpful staff (although bear in mind reception hours!), good location 5 or 10 minutes from high street and beach and well thought-out covid precautions, with the (usually shared) bathrooms being dedicated to specific rooms etc.

Extremely hygienic and friendly staff. We were allocated a private washroom even when we had booked a dorm. 3 min from the train station and 10 min walk to the coast.

Basic accommodation, did everything I needed. Good for an overnight or a few days. Prob bit basic for me for more than that.

All staff courteous and polite. Great place to stay. Safe Bike Store. 3 mins from the railway station. Tesco 2 mins from YH for supplies. Soap supplied in dispensers. Excellent full English breakfast, fresh fruit salad, fruit, toast, butter, jam and a coffee and tea station. Key pad door entry. Separate lounge. TV lounge. Games room. Dining Room. Evening meal, Laundry room, self catering kitchen. Spacious. Excellent.

Room at front near door so noisy with cars and smokers chatting..I had a single room with bunkbeds so doubled up mattresses on 1 bed for comfort.Breakfast was good also parking easy. will bring own fan if a next time.cc
