Nice atmosphere. Could use a reading chair in the room.

Property was just a walking distance from the state park. Staff were very friendly and accommodating esp Paige. Room was very clean and was already ready when we arrived.

This property is old and the room clearly showed it. There is need for remodeling. Thought it was overpriced. The only positive experience was that everything is in walking distance (the State Park, the lake and downtown).

Peanut Butter ice cream at the creamery was FANTASTIC! The staff made us feel special throughout our stay!

The manager/ employee on site was very helpful with local tips, served us ice cream an hour before their shop opened, and the stay was comfortable/ convenient to walk around town because of the location

Cute and Cozy

Stayed here for one night during IMSA races. Room was fine and clean. Nothing special but bed was comfy and a/c worked well. Whole online/virtual check in thing was a little confusing at times but I eventually figured it out and property did respond to my questions. Creamery built in to hotel so it did get a little noisy at times but by bedtime all was quiet. Also it’s a perfect location in heart of Watkins Glen

Really liked the contactless check in and the codes for each individual door, that was nice. Even though we didn’t follow it correctly the first time the staff were so incredibly patient and helpful!! Would definitely come back!

Good location. The room was moldy and musty with lots of cobwebs. Extremely tiny shower. Furnishings were outdated. Not what we expected. We left after one night due to mold and mildew.

Owners are pleasant, walking distance to Watkins Glenn Park. Place is clean and well kept.

We found bedbugs in our room. Thankfully, it was right when we arrived. The staff did not give us any trouble with cancelling and refunding our money. The room had a bad smell, the windows would not lock and the blinds were broken. Overall, the place needs a major makeover and deep cleaning. Would not recommend.

The only problem we had with this day was one of our neighbors. Burnt popcorn in their microwave at midnight. And it filled up the whole room with that smell. Otherwise, the property was amazing.

We enjoyed a comfortable stay at the Colonial Inn & Creamery. The location was perfect; just a few minutes walk to Watkins Glen State Park. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Only thing was the shower - tt was very difficult to control the temperature and flow. Other than that, a very relaxing stay at this hotel. Enjoyed the colonial "charm" of this place.

Very nice Inn in Watkins Glen. The room was comfortable but small. The bed was very soft almost too soft, we’re used to a firmer mattress. The home made ice cream on site was delicious ! The wood fired pizza was fantastic! Within walking distance to Watkins Glen State Park and lots of places downtown to shop . Overall it is a nice Inn/motel and reasonably priced.

As long as you keep in mind this is a 2 star Hotel then it was as expected. You get only the basics at 2 star places

They have an home made ice cream shop on site, delicious treat! Very convenient for walking in town and especially Watkins Glen State park. Older building and rooms, very well maintained and clean.

We enjoyed the ease of setting up reservation, check in, and check out. Note, we reserved less than 15 minutes before we arrived. Although we had our confirmation we had not received our text yet with our code for check in. But it was understandable. We enjoyed that it was right in town, walking distance from Watkins Glenn, restaurants, shopping, bars, etc. We stayed in the "motel" section. It was clean and simple. The price was a little high for size of room, but it was made up for by cleanliness, location, and friendliness of the staff at creamery portion and there was an Inn employee also.

Place is nice, nothing spectacular, but clean. Comfortable beds and pillows. Wall unit AC, so a bit loud at night. They do contactless check in and out. Staff was super friendly. There is nice pizza and icecream. It is walking distance from the gorge, so that is definitely a plus. Also a short distance from the lake.

We loved the cute little place at Colonial Inn & Creamery. The ice cream parlor is wonderfully nostalgic and has a cozy feel to the place. The wood-fired pizza garden is tiny and fun. The motel rooms behind the ice cream parlor/main house look like a motel from the 1950s, but the locks are up to date. Inside the motel room and bathroom were clean and comfortable, and we appreciated the fridge and microwave in the room. The staff is friendly and wonderful, and we will DEFINITELY return. Thank you for having us!

We booked this place because the website photos showed an adorable, quaint building. However, when we arrived, we found that the room was not. It looked like a rundown motel room, dingy and unclean (we found a used wine glass under one of the beds and the tub floor was badly stained). The windows had fabric covering them and it was nailed down so we couldn't even open them. The bathroom blind was broken at both sides and there was a flood light directly outside that window, as well as a second window in the room so we constantly had light glaring in our room.. The furniture in the room was in poor condition and and not placed appropriately in the room (a dresser was placed partially blocking two windows) and a bed was placed almost in middle of a room and a rocking chair was there, but there really wasn't room for it. And the bathroom had no room for any toiletries other than an extremely small shelf over the sink. We ran out of toilet paper and it took us several attempts to get more because there wasn't always someone on duty. Overall, the quality of the room was not up par for what we paid. And while it was within walking distance to town and the gorge, our room was right on main street so we heard all the traffic and loud trucks coming through at all hours.
