Convenient to downtown. Apartment is nicely decorated and main bedroom is nice. Loft area is tight. Washer/dryer is a nice feature.

Nice appartment with high quality. However, the appartment as very thin walls so you can hear everything from the street outside and the appartment next door. When someone walks around in the appartment next door the whole house was shaking and it sounded like they were in our appartment.

Lovely apartment close to everything and right in the heart of town.

There were three of us in a one-bedroom deluxe apartment (with a loft bed). Our daughter had the loft, which had three beds on the floor. She had to climb the steep ladder to accessed the loft. It has a low ceiling as the loft is sloped; therefore, one has to be really careful. This is OK for a young person, but not for elderly folks. But they also have a double sofa bed, if one doesn’t want to climb the ladder. There is no front desk at this property. I think the communication with the owners is not good. The check-in is at 5 PM, which I think is too late. We talked to the maid around 2 PM and she said that the room would be available at 4 PM, which it was. The instructions were not clear: again, we had to ask the maid for help in getting the key from the box. Closing the door was also tricky, and we had to leave the apartment unlocked. Good that crime is rare in Iceland! At the end of the day, we asked another maid, and she showed us the trick to lock the door. All these quirks should be explained in the email. The apartment itself has been remodeled recently and looks nice. Their website says “full kitchen.” But one major drawback is the absence of a microwave oven, which is absolutely needed. My daughter had a hard time with the washer/dryer combo. It would be nice to have brief instructions available for foreigners that aren’t used to European style appliances. This apartment was a good value. We enjoyed our stay 3-night stay.

Great location and decent apartment. A couple of things were broken and there were no bath towels (had to call the property manager to find one in the pull out bed) and no bathroom amenities (soap, shampoo, etc.)

The property was very easy to find with the provided instructions/photos. We used the paid parking lot across the street (it's free after 4 PM). The apartment was very spacious with lots of natural light. It was comfortable and very clean, and centrally located to several restaurants and attractions. We booked the apartment to do laundry during our 2-week trip. Being from the States, we had a hard tine figuring out how to use the washer/dryer combo, and ended up just hanging our clothes to dry (which ultimately took a couple days). My only suggestion would be to maybe have brief instructions available for foreigners that aren't used to a washer/dryer combo. Otherwise, everything was perfect!

Its location in the downtown and its proximity to the airport are a plus. The place is very neat/clean. ------ I was a little disappointed that no toiletries like bath soap and shampoo were available. Responses to inquiries were a bit slow to none.

The apartment was lovely, if a bit noisy. Communication was very bad, received instructions which were out of date. Didnt have access code to get in. Number i had was for previous owners. Met some other guests who had the same issue. The listing suggests there is parking with the apartment- not the case. Recent changes mean parking is charged for between 10am and 4pm. Access to street outside of apartment is restricted through the day. There is a car park through the alley access, which is very close but has to be paid for. Free parking is available at the Hof which is a few minutes walk away. Very happy with location, near all the main sites - whale watching, the church, shops and botanical gardens. Enjoyed the stay once the chaos was sorted. I would say the loft"bedroom" is only suitable for older children.

This place was amazing. We were arriving late and I called (the phone numbers on google, website and expedia for here should be upgraded but that's minor. A guy named Gudbjorn answered. I wasn't receiving his emails for the check in instructions (due to an issue with my email). He was so patient and eventually sent me a text with all the info. He was amazing (thank you). Easy access and parking lot is very close to the apartment. Very clean and fully equipped and Spacious. It was very nice stay there!

Nice appartement very well located. Wash machine and pretty beam above the roof. Would recommend it.

The property is very clean and comfy. Kitchen has dish washer and washer /dryer. Enough kitchen tools and utensils for preparing a quick meal, but you have to bring your own cooking oil and spices. Really convenient location. Check in staff (she is also the cashier of Icewear store) was really kind and very helpful.

Beautiful apartment. Excellent location. Well appointed. Very clean. There is a sitting area which allows you to look out over the main street. Enter through ICEWEAR store downstairs to check in. I would highly recommend staying here. Only problem was we had difficulty locking door.

Excellent apartments, very unique in downtown Akureyri, walking to cafes, shops and restaurants. The owner has a clothing store downstairs worth checking out!

Very nice flat, recently renovated, and a nice change from tiny hotel rooms. Three of the beds are up in a loft accessible by a very steep ladder. Super convenient downtown location. Only quibble is it is in an alleyway and sometimes there's noise from other buildings if you have the windows open. With them closed (most times in Iceland probably but we were there in a July wsrm spell) it's quiet.

We were a little surprised that the sleeping arrangements included a loft; so there was a bedroom with a double bed and then a loft, accessible by ladder, with three mattresses above. Fortunately, I'm still limber enough to climb ladders and it made me feel like a kid again (with my 86 year old father and 79 year old mother in the room). Additionally, there was a skylight that I could open a bit for fresh air, so I ended up really enjoying the two nights we spent there (I slept *very* comfortably). Check in was handled in the store front below, where I also bought a nice Icelandic wool sweater and some socks for a discount (you get the discount for staying in their property). Check in was fast and easy, as was check out (just returning the keys). Would definitely stay again.
