Our family loved our time at Ray's. Our boys slept in the bunk-bed lofts. Great location in a cool neighborhood in the heart of the city. Close to the free parking lot for Cubs games. Incredible breakfast and hospitable customer service. Thanks, awesome hosts!

A cute little bed and breakfast in Bucktown, only about a mile walk from anything you could need. Beautifully decorated and furnished. The Cardinal room was great, private bathroom, comfortable beds, and more wonderful artwork. The cooked to order breakfast was some of the best home cooking I've had, and the sauna and steam rooms in the basement were a cherry on top!

What a fun and magical place! The staff were warm and welcoming with plenty of recommendations on where to go and what to do. Made to order breakfast daily from a delicious menu. If you are in Chicago, this is where you need to stay! Can’t wait to come back!

We arrived late and picked up all the info and keys we needed inside. We had been told how to enter and where to park. We had our own garage space with an opener and no extra charge. The room was clean and the beds were great. The shower was wonderful, too. The room was a little too cold, but after contacting the desk, we found that the control was outside the room.
We only ate one breakfast, because we had to leave the house before 7 most days. The breakfast was great, a lot of choices. When we came in at night there was always a plate of snacks available and there were plenty of waters available. One of the best things was that when we told Kat that we had to leave early on the last day to catch our plane. she prepare to go breakfast bags for each of us, that made it through TSA with no problems. We would definitely stay again, but would like to try another room as it appeared that each room was as different as the decorations in the whole house.

Friendly and helpful staff. They offer a relaxed vibe by offering snacks set out round the clock, lots of nooks for cozy seating to read or watch tv. Outdoor patio to enjoy summer nights.

We loved our stay! Easy to find and check in, very clean, staff was amazingly helpful, and the breakfast was more than expected. The place has a lot of warmth and charm. Perfect if you want to live like a local and be able to walk to your dining and pubs. We’d definitely stay here again.

What a gem! Beautiful neighborhood, close to restaurants, shopping and the surrounding area is so pretty. The place itself is so warm, quirky and set up so well! We got a garage spot to park which was bonus! The cooked to order breakfast was delicious and the staff were so friendly! Communication was excellent and check in was super smooth. Highly recommend Ray’s Bucktown B & B!

This is an interesting alternative to the downtown hotels, with tons more character and charm but somewhat less comfort and convenience. It's in a very nice residential neighborhood, only about 1/2 mile from the train to town (and O'Hare Airport), but not much in the way of commercial activity nearby. The place itself is eccentric and quirky but within that the staff is extremely helpful and kind, and the breakfast was simply spectacular. They work very hard to make guests comfortable and provide abundant food -- snacks at all times, coffee any time, etc. The room was perfectly comfortable, quiet and well-equipped.

This is a great property to stay at while in Chicago. Many bars and restaurants nearby as well as easy to get to public transportation. Staff and breakfast are incredible.

Ray's Bucktown B&B is a great place to stay when visiting Chicago. The decor is ecclectic with tons of intersting antiques, art and just fun things that Ray has collected over the years. The rooms are comfy. The food is amazing and the staff could not be more friendly and helpful.

The stay was just what we were hoping for. Pleasant and kind staff at every step of the visit. We felt welcomed and comfortable. The room was inviting. The area is easily walkable to restaurants. We will be staying on our next visit.

We had the best stay at this B&B! I love the quirky decor and the community vibe - it’s such a comfortable place to stay! Our room felt like the upstairs guest room in a relative’s home, not a bland hotel room. The kitchen was stocked with snacks to grab and the breakfast was so delish. I really enjoyed sharing a table and chatting with other guests abt their plans in the morning. I checked out the roof-top terrace even though it is winter- very cool spot! Safe walkable neighborhood. I could go on and on abt all the small details that made this a fantastic stay!
*Note abt the Eagle’s Nest room: hotel hallways are often very busy and the constant activity keeps my dog on edge. In the Eagle’s Nest, there is a small room with a desk which is secluded in a corner away from the hallway door and would hold a small crate easily making the layout great for small dogs to have a comfortable and quiet stay.

I don’t write reviews ever, but I will for Ray’s Bucktown B&B! The place was phenomenal!! The owners make you feel right at home the moment you walk in. The amenities, cleanliness, free made to order breakfast, and service can’t be beat. It’ll be our go to place to stay from now on when we are in CHI!

Ray's is wonderful! More like staying at a friend's house than a hotel. The staff is delightful and the breakfast amazing (and made to order). I stayed in the Woodpecker room which was cozy, but it had a very comfortable bed. Highly recommend!

Just fantastic. Oozes with character, staff is super nice and helpful, and the breakfast is fantastic. Easy street parking and its a quick drive/Lyft to the Salt Shed. Truly a wonderful place to stay and will likely stay again if we're ever in town for a show in the area!

This was one of the best properties we have traveled to in the world (and we have traveled)! Kudos on personable service, comfortable beds, kwirky but homey decor, and probably the best made to order breakfast I have had in a long time. Highly recommend and look forward to staying here again!
