A gem of a find. Truly fabulous welcome. It has a real rustic charm but with all modern amenity. Great location in centre of Franschoek. Could not recommend it highly enough.

Absolutely perfect, couldn't fault a thing, beautifully appointed, massive comfortable bed in a lovely room. Staff were a so attentive and helpful, attention to detail second to none, Perfect location 5 mins walk from centre, probably one of the best properties we have stayed at.

I almost never leave a review but I couldn’t ignore this place. The property is very nice but what truly makes this outstanding is the staff, and really at all levels. From how we could park early in the morning to only check in in the afternoon, to how our little note about vegan breakfast if possible was fully noted with multiple options provided! You feel like a regular guest in a small caring hotel.

Kim, Carlof and all the staff were super hospitable making us feel very welcome. They also helped us to organsie our one day in the area. Breakfast was very tasty.

Service and location exceptional. Hotel deals with power black outs well with lights and internet backed up by hotels off grid solar system.

Beautiful charming hotel with a very personal touch. The staff was extremely friendly! Delicious breakfast, beautiful garden with pool. Good location, you can walk to restaurants and the wine tram.

Would 100% recommend and will definitely return for a visit. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at La Fontaine - the rooms were clean and modern. Comfortable bed, and a wonderful shower. Our rooms were downstairs around shared courtyard, where the doors opened up next to the pool. The staff were absolutely amazing and were so happy to help with all manner of requests. Breakfast was part buffet, part al a carte - we were impressed every day with the quality of the food. There are nice areas to eat for breakfast (inside and outside). The bar was very nicely decorated and comfortable for drinks, games, watching sport.. The hotel site felt very secure - for parking, and personally. Close to Franschhoek town - the restaurants and shops are just a walk away. Very convenient. Worth noting that the hotel has a back up generator so during load shedding, we were able to use ample electricity in the rooms - and the bar area was fully functioning (critical for sporting events).

I did not want to leave tabs hope to return one day! Everything at this hotel is perfection - from the room decor to the breakfast, the gorgeous grounds to the AMAZING staff. The breakfast was DIVINE! Best French toast of my life. Stayed with my husband as part of our honeymoon and received a bottle of prosecco on arrival. Spent an evening playing chess by the fireplace with delicious drinks from the bar. Book this place now! You won’t regret it!

We were blown away by this Property! We arrived very early and just wanted to see if we could park and go walk around until check in. Cecelia welcomed us with cappuccinos and went out of her way to explain the town, made recommendations and reservations for dinner (excellent btw) she also booked our wine tram tour for the next day and gave us a wonderful lunch recommendation. She exemplified customer service! I am a former Human Resources Director and she personified excellence! In fact all the staff we encountered were friendly. The hotel is beautiful and our room was large and inviting. Bathroom had luxurious robes and a tub with bath salts! Breakfast was top notch and unique options! I can not emphasize how lovely this property is and how highly I recommend it.

Spotlessly clean with very well designed guest rooms, La Fontaine combines African charm with European sophistication. We loved all aspects of La Fontaine, including the spectacular breakfast spread, the clawfoot soaking tub, secluded pool areas and convenient transportation.La Fontaine’s greatest asset is the great service provided by the very professional staff.After a very long flight and late arrival time, we slept past the breakfast hours. We got a call from the food and beverage supervisor, offering to extend breakfast for us. When we declined, they sent to our room a beautiful tray of foods that included pastries, fruits, breads, cheese, cold cuts, cappuccinos and even smoothies.This gesture made us feel truly special.There were two very gracious staff members who really impressed us - Karloff, the driver/transportation coordinator and Kim the Manager. We highly recommend La Fontaine Boutique Hotel.

Nice hotel near Franschhoek center, spacious room, good breakfast, helpfull staff, they borrowed SA power adapter, provided special breakfast package for early check out. All good woth the stay, we enjoyed the hotel.

Beautiful Rooms and Amazing Hospitality from the owner and staff. This place was amazing and a highlight of our Honeymoon in South Africa. We only wish we had found it sooner and been able to stay longer. The front desk called and arranged for a beautiful dinner down the road at La Petit Manoir and treated us to a glass of wine. Delicious breakfast in the morning.
