The place was really noisy (you hear the people on the street, the morning alarm of other guests and more. Also mold in the shower.

Super friendly staff learning a lot about the family and the history. The neighborhood had great restaurants, near by post office, grocery store, and pharmacy. There is a view of the Acropolis from the 4th floor balcony.

The service was fantastic and we loved the lounge on the 4th floor. Comfortable and excellent location, close to everything important… food, shopping and the acropolis!

Old hotel, but clean and well located, close to Acropolis museum etc., and restaurants. Very nice staff! Lovely terrasse for breakfast, which is available for €9. We recommand for a few days stay.

Great employees that provided good advice on where to eat, etc. We stayed in room #51 which had a nice view of the Acropolis. Room was quiet and spacious.

We enjoyed our stay at the Art Gallery hotel. While the hotel is dated and could use updating, the value for money is quite good. The location is excellent - very walkable to the Acropolis and dining. The staff were pleasant and helpful with local recommendations. One minor complaint: one staff member liked to sit outside and smoke on the front steps, and the smoke wafted in and up to the corridor outside our room. All in all, I would recommend this for a budget hotel option in Athens.

Location was great, but extremely hard beds! The pillows were flat and you had to make your own bed, needless to say it took me a while to fall asleep. The keys are extremely inefficient because they are REAL meta keys, so only one key per room.

I need to make it clear distinction here between the staff and the facility. The staff was absolutely awesome. The people we met helped us with anything that we asked and were extremely friendly and courteous. Unfortunately, the facility is not good. The room was extremely small and was barely big enough to fit a bed, the bathroom was not good, and this place has cockroaches. I would not recommend it

No shower head holder. Balcony too small for sitting. Mall room, yet comfortable beds. Noise from street and adjoining rooms.

Billed as being beneath the Acropolis but was in fact several city blocks downhill from the Acropolis. Check-out was shown on our booking confirmation that check-out was noon and we were called at 11:00 to check-out.

The hotel is in a good position within walking distance to historical sites, restaurants, bars and cafes.It also has a nice lounge and terrace on the fifth floor.Nice staff.

This was a great place to stay, the staff was accommodating, it's in the center of pretty much all the sites in Athens, Greece. The Acropolis is like a 10 to 15 minute walk and you can see it from their lounge! I enjoyed my stay here and I highly recommend it!

Staff were accommodating with our late check-in and request for adjacent rooms. We had a wing to ourselves that felt private like we’re at home. Only downside is there’s no A/C in bathroom so you have to either open bathroom window or open door for awhile to cool it down. Otherwise, location is close to dining options, tram and walkable enough (less than 0.5 mile) to acropolis area, metro station and Plaka stairs.

It's very close to the Acropolis but in a mostly residential neighborhood with great options for breakfast, lunch, and dinner a couple minutes out the door. You won't get the noisiness of staying in Plaka but you'll get the convenience.
The people who run it are good. Not artificial corporate people but real people with personality. The place has a nice vintage feel to it without being run down. I mean that as a compliment. If you want a luxury resort with all the latest generic style trends, this isn't the place for you. If you want quaint yet clean, this is it.

Although the furniture is a bit outdated and the rooms somewhat small, the beds were exceptionally comfortable. There is no restaurant on the property but there are many options nearby.

Beautiful quaint hotel. The reception staff, especially George, are incredibly helpful and caring. Rooms great value for money and looked after. Right next to metro and down the hill from acropolis. Would definitely visit again!!

Art Gallery Hotel has a great location- short walk to the Acropolis and restaurants, car rentals etc. Was perfect when we needed a centrally- located resting point while exploring Athens. But don’t expect luxury - this is an old building with tiny bathrooms and squeaky floors. Very clean, but you essentially make your own bed. Staff was fantastic- very helpful with all of my annoying questions. Price was amazing.

We spent three nights here. The hotel is clean and easy to access, in a nice part of town close to many restaurants, shops, and the Acropolis. Great spot for staying near tourist options, but not in the crowds or loud nightlife. There is a small outside patio area with a view of the Parthenon and acropolis that we sat outside on every night.
