This place has an ideal location with access to the main areas of the city. I wish I spent more time here as it was very convenient and a great place to visit. The apartment entry was very easy with the email provided, and I appreciated the ease of use. This is probably the best spot for laundry that we encountered in our entire trip to iceland, as there was no charge, and to my surprise even tide pods left out for use. Incredibly useful stop for a long road trip. You are near the city center, so you will hear people outside depending on room. I didn't mind it much. Highly recommend.

K16 really grew on me. Large room, very clean and they gave us a corner room with an excellent view down the hill. Initial impression was that it was a little 'sterile' - no art work on the wall, etc. But, the location was great - a short walk form downtown and we appreciated having room to spread out. Parking was super easy as well. The big feature was that there was free clothes washing and drying available. This was the midway of our trip, so I was able to do all of our laundry. Very professionally run. If I am ever fortunate to visit again, I'll definitely stay here again.

This lovely property is located up on the hill, a short walk from central Akureyri, and provided a very comfortable stay.
All the facilities you'd expect in an apartment, nice and clean and no hassles at all.
Would happily stay there again.

I fell ill during our stay & the owners of K16 were exceptionally helpful. I was having a hard time figuring out where to go and how to get help. Margaret navigated me through that process & drove me to a health clinic. I’m very grateful for her kindness. That aside, the apartments are clean, well appointed, comfortable, centrally located with ample free parking and in a very safe area. There is free laundry service & the owners are very responsive to guests. I highly recommend K16 Apartments!

Very clean, walking easily accessible to the town, free parking available, enjoyed having a code system instead of keys, and also had free washing machine and dryer available to use for residents.

K16 was the best lodging I stayed at during my time in Iceland. The room was big, it had a kitchenette, TV that had Netflix, couch, nice bathroom, laundry unit (outside the room) and it was in the center of Akureyri. Restaurants and bars were a stones throw away. If I come back here I will definitely be staying at K16 again. They send you a code the day of, and it’s super easy; no hassle of checking in, etc. You just walk in and when it’s time, you walk out. Loved it.

It’s a very nice apartment with central location, walking distance to botanical garden, big church, restaurants and shops. Each room has its own bathroom, kitchen. Check in and out are very easy. Parking is relatively tight. Thanks for such a beautiful stay

Apartment was very nice but stove was not working and did not know how to reach out to the person. Overall stay was nice.

Room would have been very nice if it hadn’t been trying to cook me. We had all heat off but it was still way too hot and none of the windows opened. We resorted to propping the door to the hall open to cool the room a little but we weren’t comfortable leaving the door open overnight so we didn’t get much sleep.

We had some mixup checking in. Didn’t receive instructions for passcode to enter the property. Had some trouble to get that. Apart from that everything else was perfect. We had great rest of the stay.

Highly recommend the hotel for any layover at Akureyri .. the studio apartment was quite big and had all amenities. Having a washer/dryer in the hotel was also convenient. Parking and checkin was a breeze.

Very convenient location with on site parking. Just one thing is we are having 3 people, but only two sets of towels in the room. Other than that, really can’t think of something to complain.

This was a great place so close to the walkable part to downtown! So clean, so easy to access, one of my favorite stays on my Iceland trip!

This place was fine - well located and spacious. Check in was smooth - but it did feel a little strange that a place that big had zero staff (except the cleaners in the morning). The pull out bed was not comfortable for our kids. We enjoyed breakfast at the art gallery down the street.
