We got exactly what we booked, which was a safe place to sleep with a bathroom available! We got a small glamping tent and it was basically the only thing available since we booked kinda late and camp sites were full (we aren't "first come first serve" type). I'm glad we brought our camping gear because the beds were less comfortable than sleeping on the ground would have been, so we eventually folded up the best and put our ground pad down. The tent was also incredibly loud in the wind. Bathrooms were clean and front desk staff were fabulous. Probably won't book again, but worked out for our short notice trip. In the future I'd rather save some money and pitch our own tent.

This was supposed to be a resort. It turned out to be a grouping of motel rooms built in the 1920s. They were old and had a lot of issues. One being there was no air conditioning in the majority of the rooms. There was supposed to be swamp coolers keeping the air cool. However, in the room we were assigned the vent was covered by tin foil and no air was coming in. Remember this is in Death Valley National Park. I estimate that the temperature in the room was around 90 degrees. I went back and complained and we were given a bunk cabin with a double bed. There was an air conditioner in this unit but it did cool well. Overall it was a big disappointment in what was expected. The only bright spot was the restaurant which had excellent food and a friendly staff.

I stayed in their premium cabin, haven’t seen the motel. The cabin was very tight, barely enough space around the bed to put your bags in, no fridge or microwave. There’s no cell service and the Wifi is only at the restaurant and convenience store buildings, not usable in the cabins. The AC in the cabin was powerful but loud, so I had to turn it off to sleep. Other than that, it was a fun stay. It’s a unique accommodation in a remote part of the DV National Park, and I’m glad they are open, otherwise it would be much more difficult to explore the west side of the park.

Was a good stay except it was so hot, the tent could have done with a fan which would have made it that much better. All in all a beautiful location and good stay

An outside tent is where we stayed. The advertisement didn't state a tent. It definitely was not what i expected.

Great dining

It is death valley and the property did not have working a.c. store and food only from 7-9, mandatory tip of food which is sub par again with no a c. And bugs. Bees infested the room when I turned the light on at 5:00 a.m. There was much damage in the room along with bugs and cob webs. It is unbelievable this cost $275 per night. I could go on, but I would say never select this place. Nothing good about it.

Stay was good. Room was small but equipped with A/C which did a good job in the heat.
The door almost didn't open as the doorknob didn't work properly.

I didn’t know what to expect at first. Staff was friendly and helpful. I have to say it was a great stay. Nice room almost like a mini cabin. Bed was comfy, the AC worked and bathroom was just what we needed. View from our little patio was great. We are definitely going to go back.

Actually we didn't stay there so I can't say everything about the place is bad. I accidently on line booked for the wrong night. They weren't helpful in credit for another time so we lost our money. I was disappointed they weren't willing to give us more time rather than losing the cost of one night's stay

Loved the tent! Spacious and equipped with plenty of sheets, blankets and towels. The bar and grill next door was awesome - great food and great people!
Campground bathroom could use a little upgrade, but it did the job.
We had an awesome time in the desert!

Look pass the rooms…(there is a story behind but the view is great ). Beside is a gas station and convenience store . Panamint Restaurant is a good one. The location is Quite a drive to the visitor center and other attractions. They are all worth seeing. We still enjoyed Panamint especially at night watching the moon and stars while having cocktails or wine from the restaurant.

We loved the tent and the camping area. Bathrooms need a little more cleaning of floors and ceilings

Stayed one night on our way through the Death Valley area. Stayed in one of the cabins located across the street from the restaurant. Although small, it was very clean and had everything needed, a nice bed, full bathroom, A/C, and a great covered porch. We eat two meals at the restaurant. While a tad expensive for what was served, it was well prepared and quite tasty. We will certainly be back for an extended late winter vacation.

Most beautiful night sky visible from here

The original part of the motel we were supposed to stay in had central air through a vent in the ceiling which was closed and we couldn’t reach it to open. It was incredibly hot. There was also only 1 electrical outlet in the entire room, and the bathroom plumbing smelled horrendous. They thankfully moved us to a cabin across the street, much much nicer!

Management and employees were pretty unfriendly and seemed like they didn't like people too much. Poor customer service starts at the top of management.

We loved staying in the cabins of panamint springs. Perfect for our stay. So clean and great for stargazing at night. Everything was seamless from check in to check out. The restaurant onsite had a great breakfast and wonderful service. Would highly recommend to anyone visiting the area!

Hotel never answered messages to clarify glamping beds configuration a week before arrival. Had to find alternative lodging. Waiting for an answer to my cancellation and refund requests.

No dryer. It was hard to find the check in place .

Overall, this was a good place to stay. Because it was near the west entrance, most of the places were close to an hour away. Most places outside the park were also about an hour away to the park anyways. Most tent cabins had a driveway/parking space to park one's vehicle but my tent cabin #19 was the smallest and didn't have a dedicated parking spot. I had to park directly in front of my tent cabin. It was really cold and windy when I stayed. There was a hole with a flap on the roof of the tent that I wasn't able to keep closed so it was even colder at night. I should have asked if there was a way to keep it closed permanently.

Location was good. Very noisy and zippers were ripped. Not enough blankets.

funky clean hideaway in the panamint valley outside of death valley. has cabins, tent cabins, rv spaces, a bar, a restaurant that serves basically fast food, a general store, and a gas station. inexpensive considering the prices in death valley, AND, very friendly employees.

There is only one outlet in the room. We had to unplug the lamp to plug in our phone chargers. No AC. Bed mattress springs could be felt.

This is an extremely old cottage in basically the middle of nowhere. The bedding and bathroom was clean but its really really old. Not much they can do with this ancient building. Staff was nice and we wanted to be right at Death Valley.

What I liked best was its location. It's pricey, but in a remote area so your expectations need to be lowered. Rooms are clean but austere. Funniest part was the walls are so thin, a couple could be heard clearly having sex two rooms away! A long session at night and a quickie in the morning. 😃 No TV, AC, space heaters only, and no phone or WIFI unless you're in the restaurant. The restaurant staff is very nice but understaffed. I was with a group of 30 and we would overwhelm the staff at meal times leading to 90 to 120 minutes for a meal. Overall, it's quaint and picturesque but don't expect luxury.

Terrific.

Glamping only if you want to stay in a canvas tent and sleep on uncomfortable cots. No chairs, no tables, no electricity. Wifi only across the highway, which you sleep right next to. Tents are 6ft apart, so hope your neighbor is nice. Bathroom is nasty, Men's room flooded the morning we stayed. Good only for a quick stop. Great beer selection at the bar across the highway.

Simple tent with cots but comfortable, inexpensive, and very convenient for exploring Death Valley. Incredibly nice and helpful staff!

Panamint Springs resort was a nice place to stay. Checkin was at the gas station. The process was easy and all the people we interacted with were friendly and helpful. We had some food to warm up, at the gas station was a microwave we were allowed to use. Cabin we stayed at for two nights was small but plenty of room for the two of us It was clean, warm and the bathroom was also clean. The view of the stars was outstanding with very little lights. With highway nearby, the noise was no existent. We had breakfast at the restaurant and the food was good, personable staff and reasonably priced
