The staff were as welcoming as always and you feel at ease. The only two small issues where one being that the evenings entertainment went on to long at such a high volume, which meant i could everything clearly without even being in the basement. The other one was that they toilet is located in the worst possible place, it needs turning 90 degrees so that it can be used in comfort.

The hotel was very disappointing. The staff weren't very welcoming and didn't even acknowledge our existence. Even the cleaners were ignorant (except one foreign lady that was very nice and polite). The hotel was old very dated and untidy. The room was dirty. The walls were paper thin and could here next door talking and coughing up phlem every morning. The rooms were not cleaned the whole time were were there, apart from the bin being emptied. I stayed there for 4 long sleepless nights.

not a good place to stay and overpriced, leaking water in rooms and we had to ask for money back and go to a different place. very disappointing.

Found all aspects of hotel good from reception to helpfulness of all staff especially restaurant special thanks to Dean our waiter who looked after myself and my daughter as we both have mobility problems.

staff are very friendly and welcoming. food is fantastic. Rooms are spacious comfy and clean, i would highly recommend this place and will definitely be staying again.

It was cold, noisy & very dirty with blood stains on the bed sheets and damp in/around the window. no one is at the front desk when you need, no alcohol. The owner seems like a nice man but doesn’t seem to care about the hotel itself, he left a big bucket for a leak in the stair way that is a trip hazard, it just wasn’t a good experience

Was alful stay. Window never opened bathroom taps constantly dripping shower waa cold told them about it and still never came up to sort it out. Will not return back to this place.

A budget hotel in a great location right behind the Blackpool Tower. The staff were friendly and helpful and the room was clean and adequate. The only thing I didn't like was the TV which was small and didn't have a good picture but I wasn't in the room much so it wasn't a huge issue. I would stay here again.

£35 for 1 night on a Friday is a bargain. Room was clean and unlike other hotels in Blackpool, the hotel didn’t have a wallpapered bathroom haha. Beds weren’t massively comfy but for the price we can’t moan. Room 2 the windows don’t close properly so was draughty, but regardless I would stop again.

Arrived very nice chap on the reception but because it said bar he said they didnt serve alcohol but to be fair he did say we could bring our own drinks in Lift 1980s 3 people max scary old thing Whislt in room sounded like a rave glu5ng on in the next room the walls are like paper could hear then talking clear as a bell During night a boiler or something pipes was in the roof above us it kept turning on and off with a loud droaning and rumbling so had a horrendous sleep Service good but would definately not stay again I'd pap a little bit extra for a decent sleep

Paid £80.00 a night to stay here ....wish I had paid £80.00 not to stay, bed sheets or towels not changed in 4 days ...windows locked shut when we left the room, unlocked and open when we got Back, tea making facilities in the room just no tea, coffee or milk, no bacon in the breakfast you pay extra for on top of your 80.00 a night. Parking is only a 5 min walk and the bar was shut every evening......lots of cheaper hotels in the area that look like they have a working bar and bacon in the free breakfast.

After staying in some hotel horrors over the years this was a lovely little gem, clean rooms and ensuite. The manager was so friendly and helpful, definitely the hotel to book when I stay in Blackpool.

Although the room was big and warm the breakfast was cold and the shower was not only dirty but also very cold when i complained about it the owner didnt like it .IF YOU want to have a shower there then i would suggest that you take some shower descaller with you I was very disappointed with my stay there even my son didnt like it .

This was my second visit to Oak lea and was welcomed back like a old friend. The room was lovely and had a great nights sleep. Room and rest of hotel were very clean. Unfortunatly i didnt have breakfast this time but the last time i did and it was stunning. Lots of variety. I would definatley stay here again

The whole place is basic and could do with updating. The room carpet needed hoovering, the light switch had makeup on it. The window wouldn’t close properly so we could here the traffic going up the street. The staff where very friendly

Central location and convenient for Blackpool amenities. Hotel badly run. Times advertised for breakfast not followed. Advised although it says 8am no one really wants to come down then so forced to wait until 8.30 and still buffet breakfast not set up. En suite 2’6” in width. Could not close the door when using sink. No bar or entertainment. Guest can apparently bring in own alcohol which I would think if they have no licence it would not be legal. This was once an excellent hotel but now it so so very disappointing
