Excellent property, lovely decor, very clean, very comfy bed, great breakfast and brilliant service from all. Overall, great stay and highly recommended.

Stayed in one of the stable rooms,very nicely kept and the shower was amazing.The ladies on duty were very helpfull with local knowledge.They were there if needed but were in the background if needed. Breakfast was hale and hearty and set us up for the day.

The room was extremely comfortable, warm and cosy, with all the features you need. Loved the whole feel & vibe of the place. "Quirky" features & great décor, each room decorated differently. A personable welcome from the host -Rob where we were given the information we needed with a welcome cup of tea and delicious chocolate brownie. Good breakfast too. Would happily stop there again.

We had a lovely stay at The Coach House whilst attending an event in neighbouring Darley Park. The accommodation was even better than we had expected, the bed was very comfortable and the room was overall. We loved the decor and styling of the bed and bathroom and had the added extra of a bath with rainshower. The mini bar was well stocked with a good range of items, but we didnt have time to use or enjoy these given we'd had plenty to eat and drink at the event. We would recommend and rebook if visit Derby again. The breakfast was very good, coffee provide at breakfast and in room by cafetiere. There is also a very nice pub just a couple of minutes walk away and Darley Abbey Village is also close on foot.

Such a perfect little oasis! We stumbled upon this cozy B&B on our way from Devon to Newcastle to visit The Sage. It was the perfect place to touch down for the night. The Coach welcome us, our son and our dog for a late night check in. Even packed a breakfast for us to take away for our 6am departure. We also had THE BEST takeaway delivered from Masala (if you happen to arrive late like us and miss The Coach House Bistro). Thank you so much for a perfect stay.

Lovely well designed room, very clean

We stayed in room 3 which is the family room. It was set out as a double and 2 singles and we also brought our own cot. We were greeted on arrival, everything about our stay explained. The beds were comfy, a lovely shower and bath in the room. We used the honesty bar downstairs to have a drink in the garden and had the most delicious complementary brownies that went down extremely well with our children! Breakfast was great, a good choice and great quality. Would definitely stay here again.

Manager very nice and helpful, food decent, outdoor sitting area lovely. Walking distance to a good restaurant.Bed too low especiallyfor seniors (should mention in overview). No door to toilet / bathroom is a negative. No bottled water offered.

We had a great overnight stay at The Coach House. The room and house are full of character and beautifully decorated. The owners are very friendly and welcoming and the breakfast was fabulous. I would thoroughly recommend a stay here if visiting Derby or the Peak District.

We stayed at The Coach House for the night before our Wedding and the night of our Wedding. We couldn’t of chosen better accommodation. Zoe was attentive and so friendly. I had a very hungover Groom and Zoe went out of her way to cater for him at breakfast time. The Coach House is an amazing B&B, that is beautifully unique.

It was so lovely, from the tiny bar where we had a drink on arrival, to the top class breakfast at the end! Quirky interesting decor, friendly helpful staff. Couldn’t have found a better place to stay!

The coach house was great. We were able to collect our key early due to having to run off to a wedding pre-check in and we were unable to check in within the time frame given. They were helpful in us checking out also, as we had to leave early and sadly miss breakfast. The only criticism I would have is no glasses in the room to grab a glass of water from the tap, which is a minor issue as we should have brought our own bottles. Beautiful room, which was clean and tidy. Thank you for our stay and all your help.

relaxing experience

I don't think the heatwave helped, or that we'd already had a long day hiking in the Peak District. The room is lovely - sitting in a beautiful garden, but all of our windows faced onto the terrace - so we couldn't throw them open without sacrificing privacy for us or the diners/drinkers. The room was very stylish - it is one of the lowest and softest beds I've slept it. A couple of niggles - the TV is tiny and basic, and the shower floods the bathroom however you try to avoid that. Also - Iron without an ironing board that we could find. But the staff were brilliant, it was a very reasonable price and the breakfast was tasty on that lovely terrace. We hadn't realised check out was 10am though! We will be recommending it to family who often visit Derby

It is a real shame because the staff, decor, location and food are superb. If noise doesn’t bother you this place would be perfect for you. Otherwise choose a quieter place.
