Not what we expected. Too many people sharing bathroom, toilet and kitchen. Kitchen only had 2 cooking rings for 10 rooms. Only one toilet and bathroom for 4 rooms on ground floor. Upstairs rooms had to come out of building to get to ground floor to use kitchen. Room smelt of stale fish due to proximity of harbour...not hotels fault to be fair. Tap in room sink dripped all the time. Poor sound insulation. However easy to find, warm and comfy bed. Hotel in much worse vondition than photos on website show. Kind and helpful staff though think they are not based on site. Parking outside was plentiful.

Receptionist is very helpful to arrange our four families staying on he same flloor.

Beautiful location. Old building, thin walls between rooms. Bathroom showers lack any semblance of privacy.

Close to an area where northern lights are seen quite often.

Property was quaint, great location and view of marina, room worked perfectly for 5. Took a little to find the upstairs room but staff were very helpful and had it accessible for us as we called ahead due to travel & arriving late at night. Thank you!!

Had a great stay in the guesthouse. I was on main floor and found it was very quiet even though most of the rooms were occupied. Called ahead to get my room number and the key was in the door when I arrived which was great! There is a shared bathroom but I never had to wait to use it, and it was very clean. The shared kitchen had everything needed to make dinner, they even supplied basics like tea/coffee/spices etc. and plenty of seating. The room was quite large and very comfortable. Would stay here again!

Rooms extra small, i think prisoners have bigger and more comfortable spaces, also very dirty and withiut plugs to recharge electric devices... Bathroom was horrible dirtyamd only one for 5 rooms.. Kitchen only 2 pots for all the guest.. next time I will sleep in my car..

In town close to everything

Basic accomodation but clean, comfortable and well organised. Inside much better kept than outside which lowers its tone a bit. Pics of guest house makes it look a a bit better than it really is. Fine if spending a night or two. Personally I would look for a hotel next time as I struggle with sharing bathroom facilities.

Convenient everything

We stayed at a 4 star hotel the night before this one and this one was better. Although the bathroom is shared, the location is ideal for Hofn. The views are really nice, serene, peaceful water. Within walking distance to restaurants and sights in Hofn. The bed is comfy and there is a sink in the room. If you’re passing through, this is a great accommodation.

So if you are looking for curb appeal, don't go. When we pulled up we thought we had make a really big mistake but due to the time of our arrival and the lack of options we had no choice. The room was clean and barely big enough for 4 of us but the bathrooms, showers and the kitchen were community spaces which were not our preference. We arrived late and they left us a key which was nice but we were relieved that we were only here for one night. The area around was OK as it was right near the water and there were some restaurants close by.

We stayed in the apartment, with the private parking space it made it very convenient, and accessible. The shower was gorgeous and it was nice to have our own space. The check-in was different than what I am used to, you have to call and then the receptionist drives up, but it doesn't take long for her to get there though. I would definitely stay here again.

Property ok for one night stay value for money. Bathroom wasn't that clean. Generally room was nice and clean. Self check in easy. Didn't meet any host. No brand new building

Loved the location of this property. Sticky notes by front door were the “reception.” Property seems to be run from afar; when we arrived the place was pretty messy. One bath/shower for 4 double rooms, and one small kitchen for whole house was inadequate. Garbage was full, dishwasher leaked, but folks I had contact with were nice. No freezer

I would recommend to habe a phone that guests can use. You need to call a number to make check inn but we do not have phone service in this country.

This is a wonderful place more than I expected. Our room is very clean and cozy. Definitely I’ll visit again If I have a chance to travel nearby.

It was a totally fine place to stay. Clean place to sleep, but not for people who are uneasy with shared bathrooms. Easy check in.

Feel like home. Check-in was ok. Facilities look like someones home and living room. Easy to find.

It was a good one night stay and there is a nice restaurant right on the corner.

All rooms have shared bathrooms, in small print in posting, stay clear of this hotel unless you want to spend $180 per night for a small room and a shared bathroom with 16 of your "closest" unknown friends during a spike in COVID. Avoid staying here, our room, any many more, was up steep flight of stairs, poor access.
