We had an upstairs room and did request a room upgrade if available which we did not get. Would have been a good time for them to have done it as they were doing huge renovations in their poker room which affected their entry and reception area. It will be wonderful in a few weeks or months I guess. We had a beef schnitzel with Dianne gravy and a small side salad and chips for tea which was probably a little bit overpriced but very nice. The girl that greeted us at the hotel was very friendly and welcoming. The young lad when we had our tea was okay and the chef was very friendly and the girl that was helping the young lad was also keeping busy and doing a good job. Our room was the cheapest but was clean and tidy and had everything we needed in it . Probably would look at getting this room again next time but would have appreciated the upgrade especially when they were doing the renovations downstairs. The old meal is a fabulous place to stay as it is very central to everything and walking distance To everywhere on the main street

It’s my favourite accommodation in Hahndorf. Love it. Is right in the middle of everything.

We had a lovely weekend. Located right in the Main Street, everything was within walking distance. Room was very outdated and needing of some repairs but we only needed somewhere to sleep. The pub and restaurant were great. Yummy food and a variety of drinks!

the room felt every bit of a second rate hotel room that was tucked behind a casino rather than cottage that was somewhat secluded. The room was overwhelming in amount of cleaner used to obviously mask something wrong in the room. Also, unlike your competitors, the room looked like something that had not been upgraded in a couple of decades. In particular, the benefit of having two sleeping chambers was completely offset by the fact that if you closed the door for privacy you also guaranteed that the person in the primary bedroom would freeze from a complete lack of heat. Even the lodging in the midst of the outback had a simple portable space heater ($20 item) to alleviate such a circumstance. And to top it off, the recommendation to deal with the nonexistent wifi was to connect in the lobby and then carry your computer back to your room hoping it would stay connected.

Clean but a bit dated in rooms. Spa bath was amazing.

No shower gel in the bathroom dispenser. The hotel lighting was on all night which shown thru the room as the room has two windows but only one window has block out window.

The hahndorf mill was a let down. Thete was no atmosphere there, no table service. Some of the staff was unhelpful. Nothing German about it.

It was very convenient for us.
