Very clean and well presented.Room was lovely and had comfortable bed and excellent shower/en suite,the room also had a fridge with fresh milk and bottled water. Breakfast was super with plenty of choices.

This room was amazing! The sea was at the back door. The rooms were large, cozy and impeccably clean. The hostess, Allison, was very sweet and accommodating. I would highly recommend this wonderful hotel! Easy to find and great parking.

This privately owned hotel is clearly loved and looked after by the owners. Nice calming decoration. Very comfortable and the service is excellent. Great location if you’d like to be right on the beach.

The hotel was very nice you can tell it has just been refurbished. My only small criticism would be the breakfast (not the price which is very reasonable) just the quality of the sausage.

Great beach view and access

Allison was very friendly and helpful. The common areas were clean and well presented but our room was disappointing. It was a small room with tired decor. The bathroom was very small with a noisy macerator toilet and a poor shower. The bed was comfortable though.

The Roxburgh is a fantastic place to stay , the room was spotless and beautifully furnished , next to the beach , very friendly and helpful owners , 100% positive recommendation

I thoroughly recommend to stay in the hotel. Close to the sea, walking distance from the town centre and idea for walks along the promenade!

Bad smell in the bathroom which I told the owner about. Poor response, I will never stay here again- sorry but I was trying to help them by explaining. Just disregarded. Apparently the hubby is an expert in all things microbiological. I’d left the fan on for hours and the smell did not go. Had a sore throat the next day.

Very welcoming and homey with a beautiful view of the sea. Staff was very helpful when we needed a change and was able to accommodate us longer. The full Scottish breakfast in the dining room was delicious . The perfect peaceful lovely stay !

Dissappinted. Chose this place from the reviews, which seem to overexagerate significantly. There has been a recent change of ownership ....perhaps reviews have assisted.???? Actually in a village called Spittal, not Berwick. No local facilities or amenities. Local publican kindly allowed us to order a take away and have it delivered to eat in his pub. Proprietors live off site, up to guests to lock up front and back doors. Feels like a bedsit not a b and b. Host was cheerful and pleasant but rushed away after we arrived. Breakfast adequate and what would usually be provided. Some unusual reviews on reflection.

The property is located on the seafront - a lovely beach. It is a short walk away from Berwick-upon-Tweed which has some good eating places. The surrounding area is very picturesque.

Our bedroom had a lovely sea view and overlooked the promenade. the owners have only been here for a few months and are intending to make a number of improvements, eg more en suite bathrooms. the breakfast was generous, prompt and well cooked.

We had a very pleasant stay at the Roxburgh, very nice,helpful staff and management : couldn't do enough make our stay enjoyable. Sea view over Spittal beach from our room was a delight. Breakfast was a full English with extras. This is a great place to stay to explore Northumberland, and Edinburgh :Lindisfarne, Bamburgh Castle etc. It was worth traveling the 680miles to visit and stay at the Roxburgh

Wonderful location on the seafront, binoculars in your room for bird /boat/ or dolphins if your lucky. Very clean, good breakfast & staff amazing can’t do enough for you

Going to start by saying that the owners have just taken on a new adventure and good luck to them too. They where very friendly and gave lots of advice. Breakfast was spot on too. Rooms nice and clean bathroom clean not bad showers. The view was just right for us too, sea view and relaxing too it was. About 30 min walk into town but again on the coast and relaxing. Looking forward to going back and seeing what changes they have made.
