There was signs that say will be charge if things out of place curtains ripped when you close them no privacy !!! Restroom paper folded every three sheets like your only allowed three squares at any given time there was vacuum running till 11pm and baths running at 2am and 4am the closest has the drain pipes in it so it’s amplified every time !! No blanket anywhere spent the night cold uncovered..wife and I booked 2 days we came in at 7 pm and promptly left at 6am the next morning did not return!!!

Cámaras watching you for everything, if they want you to be inside with no shoes they should provide disposable sandals, the toilet is so dirty, the tube feels like you are going to end at the bottom. If the restrooms need to be share they should have Lysol or something to spray before the use . There was a roach in the room, they talked to my husband not to wear shoes inside the house in the cameras so I asked for an iron by camera since we never saw a cleaning lady and no response but you move left cámara move you right cámara move , that was my first and last time staying there.

I use to be a regular here and there is a rude live in housekeeper that is very verbally aggressive and verbally violent. Made the stays very unpleasant and very uncomfortable

The host should have given the check in instructions already since I fully paid and sent the verification form that I filled out prior to checking in. I have to text and call the host several times for the instructions since the host did not answer the phone until five minutes before the check in time. Instructions for the TV none. Password for the internet is not indicated. So frustrating.

Big kitchen and lounge to be shared with 5 other travel parties. Very friedly and supportive care taker. Close to a not so busy road with acceptable noise level. Nice view form the balcony (if).

We enjoyed our stay. Our room was very nice and clean, as was the bathroom. The location was very convenient to downtown Hilo, as well. I would recommend this as a great place to stay!

At first, I thought everything looked good. I was willing to overlook the giant puddle in my parking spot, that soaked my sneakers while unpacking my car. Getting into the house was easy, until I got to my room. The door is too big for its frame. It kept scraping off the top of the frame and was very difficult to properly close and keep closed. The bed and pillows smelled like B.O., so I put a towel over them. I recommend that you use earplugs to help get a sound sleep. I understand this may be out of the property owner’s control, but there’s some kind of bird outside that is constantly making noise. I could still hear it even with all windows closed. But the ultimate problem that I had with this place, was the “two” cockroaches that I saw! One in the bedroom, and one in the bathroom. I understand that the climate may have something to do with a increase of the number of roaches in the region. But, there’s no excuse for this if you’re running a b&b. They’re almost impossible to get rid of and I had to pack back up and put my belongings in my car for the second and last day of the stay. I shook out everything and hopefully I won’t bring any critters back home with me. So to conclude, I would not stay here again. Especially for the rates that are being asked for here. I cannot give you any impression of the person that lives/owns the property because I did not see or have any interaction with them. Otherwise, I would of been able to address some of the issues w/o writing here.

Nice, spacious, clean room with private bath. Easy entry with good instructions. My only concern was the air freshener was very strong and caused some allergic reaction.

This is not a Hotel!!! It's a house that shares rooms like air B & B. I was so upset when I get there because I was booked a hotel room, not an air B&B. But my roommates are very lovely, they made my day. I Hope Expedia can assist the owner to correct the description of their house. This is cheating!!!

The property is located within walking distance of Hilo. Just a 30 minutes walk to downtown or 7 minute drive!

This was more of a sketchy youth hostile then a vacation rental. Our room smelled like mold, and the bathroom tile was falling off of what had to be the least safe soaking tub I've ever seen. The sink drawer smelled like something died inside it when you opened it. We had to keep the windows open and the fan on just to make the room tolerable. Crusty stains all over the furniture, carpets...it was pretty horrific. Parking was actually dangerous with the large rock right where you open your door into. Other guests seemed nice, but we tried to stay out of the room as much as possible. There were also these weird posters on the wall...cartoon people with objects...well, I'm not even sure I can describe it, but frankly, it was inappropriate for the general public. We ended up leaving early and booking accommodations elsewhere (no refund ofc).

Great property, very quiet, clean and convenient!

Nice bathroom with good water pressure. Easy entry with keypad. However, prevalent mildew smell when I entered the room. Rug wa stained and bunched in rolls. Sheets smelled sour like washed in an overloaded washer/dryer. Dead bugs in all window tracks. Lanai out the French doors looked unsafe with broken railing. Very loud at night with road traffic. Then late at night someone was stir frying or cooking in lots of oil so strong odors drifted throughout house. Hair dryer nonfunctional. Pillows were flat as pancakes. Good thing we were here only one night because could not sleep with noise and strong smells. Would never come back and considering what we paid, we were robbed.

Bed was great! I have bad back and like them firm. You come and go as needed, never saw the owner Jade, but communicated via messaging and she was ver informative and helpful. Loved the tv setup, as it was on a fire stick, and could use my own streaming sites. I recommend for a no frills traveler who doesn’t need a pool. Close beaches

Was with daughter and grand twin girls in there big rental house for week near Pahoa by coast. Decided to stay extra 5 days on short notice as Kilauea volcano was lighting up Lava lake. Did not need 400$ nite place as by myself. Found Hilo Vacation Rental at 85$ nite on Expedia for room queen bed, lots of storage, Tv, internet fast and porch area French doors to dry snorkel stuff. Was shared common areas and bath was very nice and never had problem with guests as seems was always available. Shared kitchen was nice and no problem storing my stuff including beer :) in the common refrigerator space. Was close to Rainbow Falls and 7-11 was 4? blocks down road so easy coffee in Am as headed out to fun Hilo places. Ok, also really nice was Thai? so friendly woman manger who cooked most wonderful dishes in Pm and I often just went to kitchen to smell her cooking :). Shoes were left at door so bring slippers. Parking was no problem. I am not sure all rooms were as large as mine? I will clearly rebook if need Hilo room for reasonable price on short notice.
