Superb visit as location is very close to beach and also has a very good restaurant so no need to travel out in evening for somewhere to eat.

We were greeted by the most friendly gentleman, who checked us in, offered to take our bags and showed us to our room. He asked if we would like a table for dinner and invited us to join in with the quiz.
The food was delicious, the waiting staff knowledgeable, chatty and even the other customers were friendly too.

Beautiful view, spacious room with a sea view. Staff were fantastic, felt very welcome. Great food and comfy bed.
The bathroom fan was quite noisy and I couldn't find a way to turn it off which was a bit annoying trying to sleep. Also the hairdryer needs replacing.
2.5
Good food in restaurant and amazing views from room

All good, lovely location.
Only one issue was that one bedside light needed a new bulb

The Ship inn, Tresaith, Cardigan, SA43 2JL Dates 27th – 29th Feb 2024.
We rarely provide any reviews or feedback, but after our stay we felt it necessary to let you know that we were not happy with our stay.
• On arrival there was limited parking and one night we had to park on the road that had signs saying NO parking. The staff said that was fine out of season!
• The first night we went down to dinner early at 16.45 to take advantage of the special offer. If ordered before 5pm the Lunch & Early evening set menu was 2 courses for £14.50, however the waiter advised this was not on offer OUT OF SEASON!
• ROOM – the shower leaked and needed a towel to be used on the floor by the hand basin. We reported this and was told we would have extra towels for the wet floor, but none arrived. Also, the en-suite room & ceiling looked dirty with mildew on the ceiling and dirt around the base of the shower screen (we have photos if needed).
• BREAKFAST –Sarah was brilliant at breakfast and as soon as she knew we wanted oat milk she provided some herself the next day for us. However, she apologised as we asked for fruit for breakfast and we were told ‘this is no longer available’ despite it being shown on the menu!
Sarah could not have been more helpful and is an asset to Ship Inn. We had more issues with our evening meal on the 2nd night. Too much to detail here, but have contacted Marstons directly. Suffice to say DON'T EXPECT A DRINK after 9.30pm, Resident or not! DISAPPOINTING VENUE

0ur stay at the Ship Inn was excellent, staff were excellent, food was very good with a good selection of dishes. Bedroom was very comfortable, clean and great amenities. I would stay there again, really enjoyed its location, the beautiful views.
Only negative was due to our stay being in February, out of season, the bar was shut at 9.30pm on a Friday night due to being very quiet. I personally think regardless of trade if you are residing in the Ship Inn that the bar should be available for usual open hours for hotel guests. After all you are paying to stay in a place that advertises the bar as a selling point and to be expected to be back in your room for 9.30 as the facilities have shut is not what you'd expect when booking to stay above a bar.

The rooms all have lovely sea views. Ours was comfortable and clean. The meals downstairs were excellent. The staff were very friendly, and the place seems well-run by Hayley the manager.

This is an amazing place to stay if your in this part Wales

Perfectly placed hotel with a great view. Staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel itself is looking very tired and could really do with a revamp as the prices do not reflect the surroundings within the hotel. Room was very clean but as mentioned it does need some money spending on it.

View amazing as always! 5th time staying at the Ship! Lady who served us breakfast was very friendly and could not do enough for us!

We had a warm welcome and a lovely room with a fabulous sea view

Right on Tresaith beach. We slept with the window open and heard the oven all night. It was incredible.

Lovely location and splendid view from the “Waterfall” room. Room itself is basic, but the shower is good, bed comfy and tea/coffee supplied. Our stay was quite noisy in the evenings, but we have to accept that this is a pub. However, we were woken up to extremely loud music at 5.30 am one morning which persisted until we were able to get hold of the duty manager to enquire what was going on. Food in the restaurant was uninspiring and mediocre at best….Nevertheless, great spot for walking the Coast path and in a prime location for doing just that!

Great friendly staff. Good size room with room for our GSD. Good food and atmosphere.
2.5
Lovely comfortable, clean room with e suite. Overlooking the beach and sea. Seating area to enjoy the view.
Friendly, helpful staff. Dined with friends in the evening, hearty, tasty food. Warm, cosy inner dining rooms and others in the conservatory overlooking the bay lit with candles and lights.

We had a wonderful stay the views were amazing the staff were lovely there was a bit of a mix up with the meat delivery so there were quite a few things not available on the menu this was fully explained and we recieved a 20%discount I thought this was a lovely gesture. I would highly recommended staying here and I look forward to our next visit

Lovely location on the sea front - quiet - good food. Pleasant stay. relaxing

Comfy and good sized room with a sea view. Staff were really friendly and helpful.
Great breakfast and a good choice.
Sadly not suitable for those with mobility issues as access to the rooms is up a steep staircase.
Parking is limited!

Managed to get the last parking spot. Not sure where to park if it’s full. Not enough parking.

The rooms were spacious and clean and dog friendly. We stayed for one night and everything was perfect. Room food and the view of the sea. The staff were so attentive will be returning very soon

Excellent facilities. Limited parking. Wonderful views so near the beach. Food exceptional. Staff very helpful
2.5
Great welcome, clean (I didn't go full Four in a Bed) and well appointed room, lovely shower and comfy bed. View was lovely (see pics). Good value and quality food (ate breakfast and dinner), good service, three cask lines, usual range of keg and good range of spirits, service from all staff excellent, friendly locals, close to beach and walks. Saw dolphins both days when eating breakfast!
Only (technical) downsides: no other pubs/restaurants close walk by if you were staying for longer and wanted variety, bathroom window wouldn't fully close (wasn't in any way an issue, so much so we forgot to mention at check-out).
We definitely plan on returning. For longer.

Only booked a couple of hours before arriving. Random choice that ended up being idyllic. Great room, spectacular view.
Derive in the restaurant could have been better but that didn’t impact our enjoyment
4.0
The fact that so close to beach and sea makes it very attractive also that we had a guaranteed parking place . It was good to be able to walk along coastal path also . Member of staff was very helpful with luggage and friendly . Rather awkward access to indoor area of pub if weather had not been good as used fire escape steps

booked last minute as part of a business trip, amazing view from my room and watched the sun go down over the sea with a drink in hand, took a walk along the cliffs and cant recommend the place enough as it was a truly unique experience,

Very comfy bed, great view, bery cleam, breakfast was great

Great location and the room was recently refurbished to an excellent standard. Car parking was a bit of a lottery
2.5
Really did not know what to expect, however as we turned the corner we were pleasantly surprised.
On arrival on the small full car park, we were told we would be priority and that space would be made for us - which was fabulous service.
The room had just been redecorated and to a high standard, could not find fault in anything. Balcony view in the Parry room(2) and we spent 2 days listening to the sea from our room.
A perfect hidden gem of a find and highly recommended.
Breakfasts and dinners we were allocated conservatory tables with the view overlooking the beach and sea. - again attention to detail and we truly felt special.
We both loved our stay from start to finish and look forward to coming back
