This is rated as a “4-star” hotel. At most, I’d give it a 3-star and that’s being very very generous. Bathroom wasn’t very clean and there were winged insects (flies?) in the sink. I saw that some of the work done in the room I was in was rushed too. Included breakfast was very limited and disappointing. I was expecting more since this hotel was carrying the name “Oriental” and I stayed in far better hotels that’s cheaper and have better amenities… The staff were trying extra hard to accomodate and please guests but they felt like they were hospitality students who were in apprenticeship and didn’t know what they were doing. Also phoned the desk from room to let them know that the WiFi wasn’t working. They said they’ll let their IT department know but no action was taken. I didn’t get a call back as well… Issue wasn’t fixed and I just resorted to using my mobile data for work. Menu was made from a coloured bond paper that was laminated. Not to nitpick but this is supposed to be a 4-star hotel. Dinner was lacklustre. I ordered a cheeseburger, which is really hard to screw up. What I got: overcooked and burned patty that wasn’t seasoned well. Potato chips that came with it tasted bitter like it was burned. I did like the lumpia on a positive note though. I’d pay a little more money for a better hotel, which Legazpi City has quite a few of. One good thing I can say us that the bed and pillows were super comfortable.

Room Amenities is not good. Shampoo and conditioner, soap is empty. Breakfast is limited and no choose and few. Security and some staff sleeping in the lobby at early morning. Lobby is very dark at night. First time and will not recommended to my friends to stay.

Have stayed hear a few times. Property is declining. Ac didn’t work. Free breakfast was buffet and mostly cold.

Staff were nice and helpful. Breakfast is ok. Room is clean, it’s just the towels and beddings a bit stained. Aside from that, we’re enjoying our stay.

The view was great food and service was a pleasurable experience. The room was kept neat and tidy, we have been well accomodated by the staff .although we have encountered issue on the booking reservation they have made their best to assist and adress our concerns .The confirmation was not their fault i guess it was more on the App itself.

Bad customer service, bad plumbing, bathroom floor flooded, can’t use the vault because no staff would come and open the safe so I was forced to carry all my important documents and jewels everywhere I go. No towels in the room we have to go down every single night to ask for towels and on the last couple of days we just didn’t bother asking anymore. We also sat down for breakfast but 45 minutes wait still nothing so we decided to walk out and get breakfast somewhere else. Never ate breakfast again in the hotel. Will never stay in this hotel again very disappointed

The staff was was great. They were quick to respond to our requests and always got the job done quickly. I would definitely stay here again.

The overall stay in Proxy by The Oriental Albay is fine but then we did not get notified that the pool is occupied because of a debut party. I mean part of our plan is to hangout by the pool at night but got ruined so we just stayed in the room all night instead. The television got only one channel which is really disappointing lol There is also some kind of unpleasant smell when we first entered the room and we extinguished it by spraying perfume.

Tried direct booking but front desk officer took long to respond so I tried using hotels.com app instead for seamless booking. Upon arrival, we noticed the warm atmosphere at the lobby due to poor airconditioning but the lobby was clean and easy to look for. We added one more room since we are 5 persons all in all. The roomy was neat and cozy which is a plus along with the spacious bathroom. We noticed the room door to be a bit thin so you can here people outside walking along the hallway. It was a satisfactory stay overall as the hotel offers good value for money with their pricing. Parking is located at the back near the pool but can be a bit crowded during weekends. Buffet is affordable

Overall, enjoyed the stay at the PROXY. The staff are very accommodating :) There were some issues with the heater in the room (not able to fix)

- on our first day upon entering the room can see hair on the floor - drainage on the shower area was clogged - hmmmm also foul odor upon entering the room only to realize it was the room attendant who assisted us - unable to connect to the internet - we have to transfer to another room due to unacceptable circumstances which is kind of a hassle - on our 3rd day water supply was disrupted for hours or so so we cannot use the toilet

I like the location of this hotel which is right in the city. It has a nice pool and lounging area. The restaurant located at the ground floor of the hotel was okay too. Needs improvement though on their servings coz I found it not enough for 1 person. Also, if they’ll be using placemats for every table it should be changed every after use. During our stay we had problems with the wifi which was resolved after a good 5 hrs or so. We had a water problem too during our stay which was so annoying. We did a night swim and when we got to our room to shower, there was no water supply. They didn’t offer any solution but kept on saying, “we’re having maintenance check what the problem is. We’re sorry.” I even had to ask if we can shower at the hotel Spa, which they should’ve offered at the beginning coz we’ve been waiting for hours to have it fixed. Overall, our stay was OK. Hotel is newly built/ renovated/ modern interior. Food tasted good but needs to serve more per serving. Restaurant staff who worked during closing hours were great. Security officer and front desk personnel were courteous.

The room given to us has just been vacated by a previous guest and base on how we saw the room, the beddings were arranged but when we move one of the bed the floor under it was dusty and dirty. The shower room looks like it was cleaned in a hurry and no bathroom rug was in place. The shower room drainage was clogged. Service was slow. This was also the first time I encountered checking in a hotel that doesn't have complimentary bedroom slippers. When I asked front desk for it, he said it can be provided for us but we need to pay for it. And they say it's a 4 star hotel?? Even the staffs that assisted us with their plated complimentary breakfast looks like they did not undergo proper training. This hotel is absolutely NOT recommendable. Instead of having a stress free staycation, we end up stressing during our stay.

The hotel was accomodating. We requested for an early breakfast as we have to drive early and they granted. Staff are friendly
