Very nice stay in the room 17. Very clean, super comfy bed. Maybe a chair and big mirror are missing in the room to make it even nicer. Air-conditioning worked perfectly. Access to the pool of the hotel, as well as to the roof top pool of spirit hotel (same owner): perfect to watch the sunset on lounge music. 2 negative points : insolation is bad, you can easily hear the neighborhood + it is a good 15/20 min walk to reach the city center. It is so hot and bad roads, that it doesn't make the walk that nice. If I would come back I would try to find a hotel in-between.

It was a wonderful experience, only bad thing was it smelled a lot like pond water and since everything surrounding was under construction it was very loud and noisy. During one morning they were burning grass in the back and we were being intoxicated with smoke

Property was beautiful and clean. Cristian front desk staff was sweet but didn’t deliver after offering services such as room service. We asked Cristian to text us the room service menu, she advised she’d send it to us in a few minutes but text it to us hours later. By that time, we had already called a taxi to get dinner elsewhere. When she saw us get into the taxi, she deleted the text with the hotel menu she had sent us. That was odd. In another instance, we requested three sodas to be delivered to our room. We never received them. On another note, the breakfast service was above and beyond wonderful. Please don’t forget to tip the staff of waiters. Lastly, we stayed at the presidential sweet which was beautiful. However, there was no air conditioning unit upstairs and a window had no closure causing the area to be extremely hot. A complete waist of space. Staff had to bring one of the twin beds located upstairs down to the first floor. Overall, it’s a nice property.

Nice clean place. Very quiet across the street from the beach. Many places to walk to. Very charming island.

This property has misrepresented itself online. It is not a beachfront property and does not have an operating restaurant. What it has is a sister hotel 100 meters away that has a restaurant and offers sun beds on the beach. The Soho has a very small swimming pool, marginally bigger than a hot tub and has 4 sun loungers. The “restaurant” is open from 8-10.30am for breakfast, which is a fixed plate. Your only choice is omlette or scrambled eggs! The rooms are spacious and well maintained, however lack the little touches that should be there in a 4 star hotel, such as glasses in the bathroom and facial tissues. The staff are helpful and try their best but I think the online description needs to be more honest.

Nice design hotel with bathtube, god breakfast in the jungle, gym and a pool on the rooftop. Its 20 min to town but you can take a golfcab. The best beach is on the other side of the island but you can take a cab 15 min away to go there. The hotel has a beachclub also who is ok.

It’s not by the sea but very close. The beach area is very nice and very quiet (not crowded) compared to other hotels along the shore which was very pleasant. The hotel itself was very comfortable and quiet even tho would deserve to be cared for a little more. It shows that the property is a few years old and that things aren’t really kept tight. But overall good experience, clean comfortable room, nice staff. My main issue would be that the hotel seems to be build next to some swamp or humid terrain which at time could smell very bad. They kept poring water into it for some reason. Maybe it’s seasonal, I don’t know but it did bother us. We had a room next to (number 5) it so didn’t help. If your room isn’t close to it probably won’t be a problem. The hotel is around ten minutes walk from the center which is fine especially if you walk by the beach. There are cabs if you don’t wanna walk anyway or bikes you can rent. We had the breakfast included which was nice to have. Pretty classic continental breakfast, not amazing but satisfying. The room were cleaned well even tho for some reason the cleaning staff wouldn’t always leave new clean towels in the room. They were given to us no prob when asked but was weird that they just wouldn’t do it if forget about it. We also had some issue with the hot water in the shower for the last 3 days. The water would just not get hot, just a bit warm. It was a nice place for a first time in Holbox.

I absolutely love this location. I would happily return again and again. The spa experience was also spectacular. I loved the atmosphere and the massages I received. Beautiful, beautiful place to experience Isla Holbox.

The room was very clean! Super eco friendly and airy big balcony. The breakfast was ok. I know it’s a beach hotel and many beach hotels I stayed at dont have a lot to offer but this hotel loved to say no instead of a “let me see what I can do” I asked for champagne flutes to celebrate my birthday I had champagne in the room they said no to ask the sister property hotel when they should gone or made a phone call for me. For breakfast I placed my order and wanted bacon on the side they said no. It’s the little things that could be a YES and made my stay just “ok”

Great experience

Me and my wife stayed for 4 nights. The service from the hotel was excellent. They helped us even before travelling to Cancun, arranging all the transports that took us to Isla Holbox. Jessy helped us right away. Very quiet, clean , safe environment. All personnel very focus on keeping the hotel in good conditions and guests happy and attended. Excellent location to the beach and also to the main shopping and restaurants area, around 15 min walking.

This is the second time we stayed at Soho Boutique Hotel. The property has gray potential but attention needs to be paid to details. Only sheets on the beds do we asked for blankets. We were given additional sheets. We had to ask for additional toilet paper twice. Housekeeping would clean the room but not replenish the toilet paper. We had room service dishes in the room and when the room was cleaned, housekeeping did not remove the dishes. I had to take them down to the front desk.

Love the property and services

This hotel is amazing! For the price, anyone that could possibly complain is just miserable. The hotel is 1/2 block from the beach but you can still get an ocean view as we did. The hotel was beautiful, modern and quiet. It is secluded but it’s an easy 10-15 minute walk to downtown. Definitely utilize their sister hotel “spirit” across the street. The roof top pool was absolutely breath taking. Holbox as a whole is amazing. If you want to be closer to the parties I would highly recommend Mittoz Hotel in the heart of everything.

Cute place, the spa is amazing! Not beach front, their sister hotel is and you have access to it. A little far from downtown, but the benefit to that is the beach being less crowded. Taxi is about $7 ea way.

Very comfortable stay. Beautiful surroundings. Close enough to walk on the beach into town and to all of the bars and restaurants, but far enough away that is very serene and quiet. very comfortable lounge chairs on the beach. Right next to this hotel is the spirit hotel which has a rooftop pool and bar And restaurant that you are welcome to use. Beautiful place for the sunset. If I returned to Holbox, I would certainly stay here again.

Soho was very comfortable, and I appreciated the fact that we were so close to the beach and that we also had access to Spirit's facilities as well. That being said, the continental breakfast did not taste amazing, and because it's close to the beach, naturally it's far away from the downtown, so that's just something to consider when choosing where to stay.
