We were very pleased with our check in, Carla was super nice! Our room directly faced a very busy interstate, so we had very loud noise ALL night long. I don’t know if hotels.com reserved rooms are intentionally the worst rooms in the facility, but this isn’t the first time we’ve had similar experiences. We also had some heavy pot smoking close by, even though the hotel is smoke free. We know this is no fault of the hotel or hotels.com. Just that people are jerks and have no respect for themselves or others. When we complained, the front desk assured us they would address this issue. Breakfast had a nice variety in a clean environment. All of the staff we encountered were very friendly and helpful.

Don’t listen to the bad reviews. We thought this place was quite good for a fairly inexpensive stay. Room was clean and comfortable. Staff were very pleasant. Breakfast was adequate with some hot choices. I loved the comfort and social ability of the lobby!!

Hotel was clean, room was comfortable but the hotel is close to the extremely loud highway. Bring a white noise machine and it will be fine! Dogs running on the floors in neighboring rooms were loud, but the white noise helps with that too! Other than the loud noises throughout the night, the hotel was great! Convenient location, easy to get around from.

Had three interactions with desk staff. Every time I had to wait for the person working to get off their phone, get up from the couch they were sitting on and walk over to the desk. When I checked in, there were 2 workers sitting on the couches. They looked at each other like they were playing mental rock-paper-scissors to see who had to get up to help me while I just stood there.

Wish the location had some outdoor space opposite side from the highway to enjoy the night air. Parking was a little limited, but not horrible since two hotels shared the same parking area.

Room was very small. There were limited options for setting things on surfaces, so I had to put things on the floor. There was no dresser, so I had to leave everything in my suitcase. There was no closet, just a pipe with hangers on it. The blanket on the bed was exactly the same size as the top of the mattress. This made me repeatedly try to kick the blanket over the side. When I realized that wouldn't work, I pulled the blanket over. I bumped into the bedframe, which has a sharp edge and it cut my shin. I will not be staying at Tru by Hilton again

Had booked the property via hotels.com. The property is conveniently located, good breakfast and clean. The major issue in my case was that I was double charged - once by hotels.com and the property also charged for my stay. Be careful and check your credit card statements to ensure charges are correct for the stay

The desk staff are excellent employees. Their obvious care and concern that I be compensated for the filthy shower is much appreciated. They both left notes for the manager, who never bothered to reach out to me.

Around 8 pm when we got to Knoxville but before we checked into the hotel, I get a call from the hotel staff saying that our third party booking (hotels.com) shouldn’t have told us this hotel had availability because they don’t and they don’t have a room for me. This is a day after I booked and got a confirmation. Also, I could have checked in at 3pm that day so why were they just now calling me at 8pm. Anyway, apparently there’s no manager available for me to talk to. I tell the staff member that I want to talk to management and she tells me she will “try” to get ahold of the manager and the manager will call me back. The manager does not call me back. However, the staff member calls me back and tells me the manager has worked some things out and I now have a room. Once we got into our room it was very clean and we were pleased. Interstate traffic was extremely loud and a little annoying during the night. It actually woke me up several times. We will not be staying here again due to such terrible service. Also, this was not a hotels.com issue as I’ve used them for many years and this has NEVER happened.

The staff are untrained and not able to help with any issue. I was double billed for my stay and Hilton itself can't fix the issue. The actual hotel doesn't know how to fix the issue and is unwilling to even try. There is no manager at the hotel to speak to.

Clean property/rooms and great customer service, complimentary breakfast could be improved. There is construction near the hotel, so the sign to turn into the property is not very visible and property is on a busy street so it is a little difficult to turn in and out of the hotel. There is no restaurant onsite, but you can go across the street to the Aloft hotel for food and drinks.

The first room we were assigned was missing the privacy blackout blind. We were moved to another room that was ok, but the bathroom had obviously had water damage and floor tiles were no longer secure so they wiggled as you walked. Wallpaper was also peeling in the bathroom. The deadbolt on the door to the room was difficult to lock and unlock. It seemed to be slightly out of alignment. On the positive side, both rooms were quite spacious and handicapped accessible (although we didn't ask for that). Room was clean as well.

Room was a little small and there was no microwave or closet space. However…the coffee was always hot and available. Bonus points for flavored creamer options. The staff was friendly. The water was hot and the pressure was good (that’s a biggie for me). And the bed was EVERYTHING. I slept like a Queen. I would stay there again just to get a good nights sleep. Great value, especially for the price.

The lady at check-in complained the entire time about us using a third party booking source instead of focusing on just checking us in. I had to call said third party customer service upon check-in to have them send over confirmation of payment. Overall just inconvenient experience.

For exterior noise, this is the loudest hotel in which I have ever stayed. The associates with whom I came into contact were kind and accommodating, though the room was small, uncomfortable, and noisy.
