Loved our short stay, clean and comfortable.

My son and daughter-in-laws room was fine until they pulled back the bedding to go to sleep. The bedding smelled awful like a mix of wet dog and damp laundry. The baby was already asleep in her pack n play and they didnt want to risk waking her so the slept on the smelly sheets the first night. We requested the linen be changed the next day, which was done without incident however the bad smell was still there. Upon further investigation, we decided it was the mattress that smelled disgusting. We alerted the front desk and they were gladly given a different room. Thankfully the second room was odor free. Hopefully the front desk staff at the hotel actually alerts mgmt and gets that mattress in room 415 replaced. I would hate for anyone else to have to experience that. While the second room was a downgrade from a king suite to a queen suite, it was still in close proximity to our room, which was important to us so i didn't make a big deal about it. The front desk staff was welcoming and attentive. I hope housekeeping can learn to pay attention to details, like an overwhelming odor coming from a mattress while they are making it. Other than that, we were very pleased with our stay.

The first 3 nights of my trip were sleepless. There were multiple dogs barking throughout the night.
I'd suggest having 2 floors for those guests that have animals and 2 floors thay are just for those guests traveling without pets.

My friend and I were in town for a concert and the hotel was not too far from where the concert was being held. The room was very spacious and we didn’t have any issues checking in. Would definitely stay here again.

A great experience. Gina was wonderful! Our room had a leak in the ceiling, and they upgraded us at no cost. the staff was very friendly and accommodating. Parking is a bit tight, but it works. The small fitness facility looked nice and the pool as well. Onsite laundry was a big help. Short drive to shopping and restaurants. I could do without the kids and teens, but it is across from the college but I'm not a kid person. all in all, great experience and highly recommended.

The only complaint we have is the set up for the light switches. Why not just use normal light switches… Would make it much simpler and easier.

Room was spacious and clean. Pool was quite green and cloudy so we did not use it. Would have loved to have had a space to put toiletries in the shower as well as a place to rest my foot for shaving. There were 3 plates sitting on a table outside the elevator that were there when we checked in and still there when we check out 2 days later.

I changed my stay and came to the hotel on Thursday, May 30 to cancel and I was informed an email would come to me. I was informed of the stay next door. Yet, I was charged. one night, which they said I should have canceled with you, but I was having app issues the whole time in Des Moines due to the Network outage. All I could do was call or come to the facility.

We were visiting Drake Law School and wanted a close place. The outside of the building was non assuming and a bit confusing as it didn’t look like a typical hotel. The room was huge and it was a pleasant surprise for sure !
