For reference, I arrived at 230/245pm the day of check-in. I get there, it looks okay. Nothing special, just a couple chairs and a TV showing CCTV to one of the hallways in the lobby. I was rudely told "Check-in is at 3" and turned away until exactly 3, when the woman at the front desk allowed me and the other visitors to check-in. The room itself was a bit cramped, the blanket on my bed had cigarette holes in it, the ceiling by the shower may or may not have black mold with paint over it, and the floor did not look like it was swept or vacuumed, but at least we had a big tv right? Except the battery for the remote was just about dead. Either way, I told myself it was just for 2 nights and I didnt plan on spending too much time here anyway.
Sleeping was alright, I didnt see any signs of bedbugs when I did my initial checks. I do wish the mattresses themselves were zipped up for extra protection. There was a weird stench every time we walked back to our hotel room, but there was always a mopped floor and a wet floor sign whenever I passed the hallways. Noise wasn't great, I either heard someone having very loud relations (I could hear the occasional scream) or someone was in a fight, judging by the screaming. I actually dont remember seeing a phone in the room, so it's not like I could call the desk anyways. There was food within walking distance, I just didn't feel too great about walking in the dark. All in all, I got what I paid for, and learned my lesson for my next visit

Dirty, bugs, cigarette smell, cigarette burn holes in blankets. Wouldn’t recommend to anyone

The room looked much larger online than in person. Nice renovations but mattress was not newer and sheets did not fit (comforter was not comfortable or appealing.
3.4
Close to UBS Arena, comfortable matress. Free parking. Pillows were flat, need deep cleaning. Showee floor not clean. Marks of finger prints and dirt on table, backrest, night tables. Bed sheets stained and with holes. Way too expensive for good location only.
3.4
It looks nothing like the photos. Nothing like the photos

It was a fast stay, in a close to airport hotel, but the place is pretty bad. Smells like cigarette, looks old, is old and poorly maintained. Although it served well the pourpose of my trip, I would not stay there again and I don't recomend it.

Very noisy. Window straight to the street had been left open. Area was poor and noisy. No flexibility at all with check out (already at 11am) and getting more time would have been $25 oer hour which is very bad. Very torn towel left as a feet towel. Nothing to buy to eat and no good gocery stores or restaurants near. Felt like secured shelter. Hairdryer with nasty stains and dirty AC. At least it worked though. Could not open curtain at all because there was no thinner curtain to let light in and the view was straight to the street. 2nd floor is smoking floor so expect that your room is on street level if you do not smoke. Overpriced. Despite all I slept well because I was so exhausted, and the bed was OK. I would not stay here again.

Casa Azul is not in the best neighborhood. It is extremely loud at night. People were banging on doors, screaming and yelling. When I talked with staff about the noise, they blew me off. We requested to check out early from our four night stay, but because I prepaid, I was told I could not. I was traveling with my elderly father-in-law, and he was very uncomfortable with the hotel.
I am fairly certain that this hotel is used for prostitution. One night we were awakened by very loud sex.
we ended up checking out a day early. My father-in-law discovered he left his IPad in the hotel. When he called to ask if they could ship it (he would pay), they refused. They also said that he could not be the one picking up the IPad because the room was in my name. We had to get an Uber back and forth because I had already turned in my rental. This was just the last in horrible service we received from this hotel and their staff.
The maid service was terrible as well.

**Disappointing Stay Due to Lack of Cleanliness**
I recently stayed at this MOTEL and was extremely disappointed by the lack of cleanliness in my room. Upon arrival, I noticed that the room was unclean and had an unpleasant odor. The most concerning issue was the dirt and filth I found behind the bed on the floor, which I had to call the front desk to address. It was clear that the room had not been properly cleaned, swept or maintained.
Despite the unclean conditions, the front desk refused to offer any form of refund or compensation, even though I expressed my desire to check out early due to the situation. This lack of customer service and attention to cleanliness is unacceptable, and I would not recommend staying here especially if you have ever stayed at a Marriott or even a Holiday Inn there is absolutely no comparison.

Great accommodations. The room was clean and staff was friendly.

I ask for a non smoking room and what’s I got. The pillows were horrible, The hallway smells horrible because of all the smoking and noise coming from the others guests make it very uncomfortable.
3.4
The lady at the front Desk was very rude. She used profanity while Conversing with me about my stay at the hotel.
3.4
This visit was pleasant. Can't complain.

No service

Good for getting you out of a scrape.

Walked into the room and walked back out not staying at the hotel. Have contacted the facility asking for a refund as the whole place smelled of smoke and weed.
3.4
I see a lot of bad comments, actually the bad thing I have to say is that the rooms are not cleaned well, there was someone else's hair around the bathroom in that sense that is disgusting, the rest is fine according to the price, the area is a bit unsafe if you are alone as a woman

The first room I was given smelt strongly of cigarettes (I don’t recall it being advertised as a smoking room or I wouldn’t have booked), and vending machines directly outside made a loud trickling noise. Also some very dated bedding with dolphins on, but I guess that’s aesthetic. I asked to move rooms, but was told the hotel was fully booked. After checking online and seeing availability, I went back and the girl gave me a different room after some persuasion. The second room didn’t smell as bad, and was more comfortable, however overall it wasn’t good. The towels had stains on, and the room didn’t smell or look particularly clean. The room was quiet unless a car came into the car park, so I don’t think the windows were sound proof. The chain lock had been installed incorrectly (the wide part that should be furthest away from the edge of the door was close to the edge, therefore it only took opening it, closing it and then re-opening it for it to come off), which isn’t great in a strange area when you want to feel secure. Also the lighting in the room was very dark.
The girl on the counter was helpful in telling me where there was a local shop, and also booking me a taxi for the morning. Their card machine was inside the ‘office’, so I had to verbally tell her my PIN number which I wasn’t too happy about.
Overall, I wouldn’t recommend. I don’t ask for much, just a clean room that feels secure and is comfortable, and unfortunately I couldn’t wait to leave in the morning

Good stay

Is a nice and clean place, but some people made a lot of noice and that’s not have breakfast available.
3.4
We couldn’t sleep at all as the AC was just making noise without cooling the room.

Enough for a 1 night stay.
Could be cleaner.
It's kind of in the middle of nowhere.

Nothing

Location was pretty decent. It's on a street with lots of food options; American, Chinese, Latina, Haitian are some examples of the types of food you'll find all in within walking distance.
The room has a fridge, no microwave but there is one near the lobby and a vending machine.
The shower head is super nice but the tile looks dirty but could be scuff marks and the bathroom could use a shelf. At least one to put your belongs on, like body wash etc.
All in all a pretty decent place. Bathroom could use a little umph.

Worst hotel ever

Amidst the turmoil of the delta/cloudstrike debacle last week, I tried to book a clean and safe hotel for my 18y/o son and his friend who were stranded at JFK- nearby the airport so they could try to fly standby the follow morning. The online photos looked like it was safe. Unfortunately when they arrived, both young men noted the prostitutes around the hotel and that the lobby had bullet proof glass around the check in. My son immediately called me and asked if I could get them a new hotel because they did not feel safe. These are two 6’ tall young men. They didn’t check in and I sent them back to Chelsea for a hotel. I don’t even know how to get a refund of over $600! Expedia should do a better job of evaluating properties for safety
