This place was perfect! It was so quaint and like stepping back in time. The grounds are beautiful! The (free) parking is right outside your door. The bed and linens are so comfortable! The staff is so, so friendly! The location could not be better. I stayed 2 nights. Once I parked, I didnt drive until I checked out. The center of town is only 2-3 blocks away, a short, easy, 3-minute walk. I will absolutely stay here again! I loved it!!!

The bathroom was very small, especially for my very tall husband (think knees to wall). It lacked counter space for shaving kit and makeup bag.

The property was clean and conveniently located. The manager contacted me the day before my stay to let me know of water leakage in my reserved room. She asked if it was OK that she give me a different room, which i appreciated.

I appreciate the 60’ vibe of the motel and how walkable it is to everything in Boothbay Harbor. Check in and out was very easy and convenient as well as the parking. The beds and bedding were very nice. The only thing about the motel I didn’t like was that it has an old musty smell.

The owner/manager was v helpful & friendly during reservations, answering all my questions. She also provides a nice list of restaurants as well as a city map. This motel is what it says it is: a retro, 1960's no frills, roadside motel. I wanted a reasonably-priced motel within walking distance of the harbor as I was going on a boat trip & didn't want to hassle with parking in a Maine tourist town in summer & this motel has a great location, just uphill from the harbor. The 2-twin bed room was sparkling clean but still had a slight musty smell but it was not offensive, sort of a "old house" smell.. The small bathroom was fine for me as I'm petite but a large person might find it confining/awkward. There are no refrigerators or microwaves in the rooms but guests are allowed to use the refrigerator/freezer, coffee machine & microwave in the office that is left open 24/7. The motel/grounds are small so this wasn't really a big inconvenience. About my only complaint is the thin walls between rooms. I lucked out my first night & had quiet neighbors but the 2nd night, loud snoring next door woke me up & even with a white noise machine plus ear plugs, it was hard to block it out but I'm a v light sleeper. I would consider staying here again as it was more reasonably-priced for the area & it was great not to have to hassle with parking, much of which was $10/day or more.

Bed was not comfortable due to mattress. Liked the old fashioned keys and non-techy check-in. A neat and seamless experience. Also, very quiet and easy walk to town. Will select again if I ever return to the area.

Mid-Town Motel is up front that this is a 50s style motel. Perfect location for a great visit to Boothbay harbor. Not a luxury stay, but the price is right. Efficient re-supply of everything you need for a comfortable stay. Cute clean place.

Bath room to small very limited space door hard to close storm door broken

Each year we stay at the Mid-Town Motel when we visit for the Booithbay Regatta. The rooms are spotless and comfortable. Nothing flashy, just a simple place to rest between events. There are chairs outside each room where friends are made easily. The staff is outgoing and there to serve. We plan to stay there again next year. It's within walking distance of everything in town.,

It was what we had expected and presented. Clean & Quiet. Ww would recommend.

Property was very clean, and location was great. Bathroom was very tiny, my 6'2" husband had very little room to maneuver. Would have liked a little more room service per day, like the bed being made and the trash taken out.

The housekeeper is so friendly and welcoming!!! The property is perfect location and walkable to everything in town. The room was clean but quite small esp the bathroom. But serves its purpose!!

Never once saw anyone who worked there, even when checking in and out! Bed was really good, everything else was meh. Bathroom very tiny and hard to manage in. Good location though.

It was quaint, quiet, clean and walking distance to town.

Older motel not big on esthetics but clean and comfortable. Little touches like fluffy towels and usb power ports were nice.

Very cute and frozen in time in a way I really like. Wish they had room darkening curtains. I don’t want to wake up at 5 am on vacation. Also the air conditioner was so loud I couldn’t sleep with it on.

Very lovely exterior and comfy, clean interior. A short walk to all of the shops in Boothbay Harbor.

Vary small bathroom. It is truely a classic.

I loved this little motel. It reminded me of traveling with my parents back in the '50s and '60s before the big chain hotels took over. Don't expect luxury.. It's not that kind of a place. Think knotty pine paneling and bathrooms with green tiles. The beds were very very comfortable and it's literally a 2-minute walk into town. One thing to note... Rooms 8 through 11 are on a bit of a hill and could be a problem for somebody with mobility issues so worth a mention.

Absolutely adorable!

This lived up to its’ description- a 1950’s feel motel. It was adorable. Great location, shopping & restaurants within walking distance. The warm welcome that stands out- I called to tell them we’d be later than planned- no problem- Marnie (very personable manager) left a letter in the office with our room #. She turned the lights & heat on in the room and left the key on the bureau. While the room was small by today’s standards, it was perfect for the two of us- nice & cozy. Nightstands, bureau, two twin beds. There was a flatscreen tv and usb ports in the bedside lamps- (we appreciated that they didn’t stick to the 50’s that strictly!) The toiletries (shampoo, crema rinse and body gel) had amazing scents- wish I’d written down the brand/scents so I could purchase). All in all, a fabulous stay and we’ll be back!
