Wonderful property! Beautifully decorated with several spaces for relaxing. Well thought out amenities throughout. Rooms are artfully designed. Wonderful host. Breakfast was substantial and fresh and delicious. Will definitely stay again.

The Larix exceeded expectations! Beautiful place, bed was luxurious, every detail thought of and the breakfast was the best continental breakfast we have had at a hotel! We will be making trips to Kimberly just to stay there.

This hotel is just the best. Michael welcomed us with a tour of the hotel. Our room was super comfortable, with a brand new looking bathroom. The toiletries provided smelled lush. There were numerous communal areas where guests are encouraged to relax. There is a guest area where many hot/cold drink options and snacks are provided. There is a fridge for guest use. The breakfast offering looked delicious and included salmon, eggs, fruits, cheeses and pastries. The outdoor areas are clean and well looked after - we didn’t use the sauna but wished we’d had time for it. The whole vibe of the hotel is modern, cosy and welcoming.

Room had very poor lighting. No frig no microwave no place to put clothes away. Coffee area was not clean. Cups not always available. Coffee pods not available the last day. Common areas were very clean and very nice.

Room was clean. Comfortable bed. Love the layout and all the places you can sit and relax, inside and outside the hotel. I'd definitely stay here again.

Wonderful boutique hotel. Incredible value for the price. We liked this place so much we almost changed our travel itinerary to stay there again!

We absolutely loved the hotel and it was warm and welcoming. Staff was awesome and the amenities were very enjoyable too. I dropped a star though because the sofa bed was absolutely horrendous. The mattress was noisy and so uncomfortable. We were traveling with our two sons and barely slept at all because the couch was awful. My suggestion - please invest in better mattresses for the sofa bed.

This place is amazing and Michael who was at the desk at check was brilliant! The area is quaint, safe and walkable to restaurants and shops. The property makes you feel like you’re at home.

This is a lovely boutique hotel - many separate seating areas for visiting, a fabulous cold breakfast included with many extras, including fresh local fruit in season. Cookies and coffee are available 24-hour. We loved this hotel and will definitely stay here when we are in Kimberley - although it is usually booked solid as there are only 20 rooms. So book early.

Wonderful and stylish, with adorable rooms and a great breakfast. There is no elevator, so make sure to ask for a first-floor room if you can’t do stairs. Gorgeous location and friendly staff — would definitely stay again!

Wonderful place to relax or use as home base to explore the area. So many places in and outside the building to relax, visit or just take in the music and artwork. If it’s very hot weather the common areas do not have AC but the room AC was fine. No cable channels, only smart TV. Amenities are exceptional and the welcoming atmosphere was much appreciated.

The Larix is fabulously unique. My experience did not start well - requested a stair free access room and arrived to learn I had been given a 2nd floor room and there was no elevator - had requested a fridge and did not have one. But the staff, Sue and Joey, were friendly and did their best to help us out and once we got settled in the ambiance of this little hotel won me over - from the wonderful scent coming from their diffusers, the bath products from Healing Hollow, the communal fridge with bottled water and coffee area with delicious cookies, the many sitting areas full of books, the outdoor patio area to visit and entertain friends and the delicious breakfast served each morning - good value - like taking a riverboat cruise.

Second visit to the Larix and it was a great visit. The AC needs to be addressed as it was smoking hot and the breakers for the AC keeped tripping which made the room very hot.

The staff was VERY friendly! The room was very clean. The property was very nice, multiple sitting rooms, nice decor, gave a fancy vibe. Very reasonable pricing. Nice breakfast in the morning. Walkable to restaurants, some creeks/streams to walk around and swim in, felt like a safe area.

This property is a diamond in the rough! Michael and co. have done an amazing job. All the little details, soaps, in room lighting, quiet ares throughout the hotel, and the amazing breakfast.
