Daisy’s Cottage Barnabrow is situated within the grounds of Barnabrow Country House in County Cork. Dating back to the 17th century this estate encompasses 35 acres of rolling parkland, a truly unique and idyllic location which can be enjoyed by all our self-catering guests.

This detached holiday cottage has a very large open plan kitchen, dining room and living room area. The cottage is filled with warm wooden floors, relax by the wood burning stove after a busy day exploring.
The large and open plan kitchen is a wonderful space for spending quality time with family and friends. The stylish kitchen is well equipped providing all you need for a comfortable self-catering holiday in East Cork. Within the kitchen there is a gas hob and electric oven, refrigerator, microwave, freezer, washing machine, dryer, dishwasher, dishes/cutlery, toaster and kettle.

Ground Floor:
- Double en-suite bedroom with shower, sleeping 2

Throughout the year many music events take place in the outbuildings at Ballymaloe Grainstore, in the Carrigaun Room and in the Big Shed.
Ballymaloe Cookery School, Organic Farm and Gardens is situated in the village of Shanagarry, a 7-minute drive from Daisy’s Cottage Barnabrow. A little further south is the pretty seaside village of Ballycotton. Like many places in Cork, Ballycotton has a strong maritime history, and is currently the home of the Royal National Lifeboat. Visit the 19th century lighthouse just off the coast on Ballycotton Island. The area is well known as a great spot for fishing with a number of approved deep-sea charters operating from the harbour.
Enjoy a day at Garryvoe beach which is ideally only 5.3km from this holiday cottage or visit the vibrant town of Youghal. This seaside town is home to Strand Beach and Claycastle Blue Flag Beach, two sandy beaches located side by side and within walking distance of Youghal town.

We loved our stay at Daisy's Cottage. It was surprisingly spacious and very well set up for our family Christmas in Cork. It was all immaculately clean and in good condition. We particularly appreciated the wood burning stove, which kept things lovely and cosy throughout. Thank you!
Some improvements that we would have loved would be better WiFi, water pressure, a shade on the skylight in the upstairs bedroom, and a little more decoration up there too.

Daisy Cottage is a lovely place to stay for a week. It provided a perfect base for exploring the many options available in the east Cork area. Would recommend.
A more secure area around Daisy cottage would be good to avoid the potential of young children running to the main road.

The space, three bathrooms, the location, the helpful information provided by the property manager Vera. The area around Barnabrow is delightful and we found lots of great food shops, pubs and restaurants. A great location for people who like cooking and eating.
A few more kitchen equipment items would be helpful-a mixing bowl (we bought a cheap plastic one in Tesco and left it behind) and more dishes for serving food. A roasting tin would also be useful. But overall the kitchen is well equipped with great cooker and fridge freezer. And the washing machine and drier were invaluable.

Daisy’s cottage was the perfect space for our group of six adults. We enjoyed the kitchen space and the ability to eat in after long days exploring the area. Three bathrooms was also a huge plus! The cottage is convenient to Cork City, Cobh, and even a reasonable drive to Waterford. You definitely need a car if staying here. The property manager was great and easy to get in touch with! A lovely, quiet place for your Co. Cork adventures!

The cottage was very clean and tidy. It was much bigger than expected and easily accommodated six adults and an infant. There was bread, milk and butter in the fridge to welcome us. Vera, the cottage manager, couldn't do enough to help us. It is situated about a 5 minute drive outside of Cloyne. Barnabrow House is next door and has donkeys and goats in their field. Would definitley recommend this accommodation if staying in East Cork.
It was very windy for a couple of the days we stayed and some of the windows rattled throughout the night. We stuffed them with cardboard to stop the rattling. I made Vera aware and she plans to replace some of the windows sooner rather than later.

The house was absolutely lovely and perfect as a place to get ready for our big day. Thanks Vera for being so acccomodating.
Two bigger beds upstairs means more guests! Would love to come back with a bigger crew. I would be happy to share a bedroom in an Air BNB as nice as this.

Daisy's cottage was the perfect base for our first family trip to Ireland. So big that our family of 6 never felt on top of each other and every home comfort we could have asked for. Each bedroom's private bathroom made life so much easier with 3 teens. Vera was a fantastic host who really saved our holiday by sharing her ideas of places to go (tbh, do expect to do a lot of driving to find things to do) and of beautiful local beaches. She was really easy to communicate with and dealt with anything that came up promptly. Thanks for a fantastic stay.

Daisy's cottage was perfect in every way, after doing a number of staycations over the last few years and having substandard accommodation, I couldn't fault Daisy's cottage. The beds are so comfortable, a well stocked kitchen and no queuing for bathrooms! We will be back for sure.

Excellent stay
Beautiful house, well equipped everything you need is there. Absolutely spotless.
Vera is lovely to deal with left us a welcome pack with scones, milk etc and 2 chocolate bunnies for the kids as it was Easter.
Also gave us recommendations for places to go with the kids in the area. We will definitely be back!
